Coming from someone who works in network security, disabling a person's codes and access to the city should have been done as soon as said person was compromised. Sometimes writers just don't think about the things they actually write. lol
Sometimes writers don't know all the technical details of the stuff they write about. I can just imagine the horror on your face at the suggestion that people take lessons from technology and security they see on screen and apply it to real life. (McKay and his 16 digit alphanumeric code, indeed. No special characters?)
