KZN's new MEC on a mission to fight against construction mafia

KwaZulu-Natal's new MEC for Public Works and Infrastructure, Martin Meyer, says he's in talks with various stakeholders to establish a task team to fight against construction mafia in the province.
These gangs have been sabotaging private and public infrastructure projects across the country.
They use mafia-style tactics to hijack construction sites, demanding money, or protection fees, from contractors working on infrastructure projects.
