Fake Skate The Game is a new skateboarding game being made by Froque, Jboogie, Validus and OneModus. It's going to focus heavily on realisim!

I know this might not be the place to suggest, but please please add a decent amount of black people hairstyles. I know that kinda customization stuff is probably a good way off but other games DONT THINK TWICE about this.

After seeing this interview, I’m so impressed by your passion and direction with this game. I’d easily pay over $100 for a title like this. Epic frame work for modability, superb character creator, all around genuine skate feel… Great work!

Bro everything what hes saying is what i dreamed about and more, separate wheels moving at different speeds due to grinds, board flexing, changing the arm steez, customizing your clothing size to fit your character. I been in the fake skate discord since it was an sxl modding community where there were custom brands and seeing how far it has come im really looking forward to this.

It's nice to see Skater XL and Session revive the skateboard game genre after a pause i the 2010s, and it's nice to see fans of those games become so passionate that they've begun work on their own games. I adore the attention to detail this team has with the project because it directly addresses a number of frustrations and wishes i have with existing games. I hope this doesn't turn into vaporware like Zellah's skateboarding game.

This is really cool and can't wait for it but I'm not holding my breath. I remember Session way back in its first teaser video in like quadruple pre alpha. They made bold claims with it having good animations, a play more, get higher stats feature, grabs, more that I can't think of. Don't get me wrong, what we have is amazing and can't wait for the future but just saying I ain't holding my breath until I see 1.0 flawless gameplay of claimed features.

I've just learned Session now Imma have to learn Fake Skate. Nah fr the more Skate games the better the EA Skate games got me into skateboarding then like Rob Dyrdek now years later at 23 I want to learn how to skate

For impossibles i had an idea where if you click the stick to catch. If hold L3 down or hold the stick down while rotating, it could be an easy way to implement impossibles? Maybe a bit awkward?

I hope the controls are similar to session. Skate used to feel realistic back in the day, then skater xl pushed that further but now Session’s controls make the most sense and I don’t know if any other scheme would feel as satisfying.
Lip tricks, Mini ramp skating.. PLEASE if you have any point of pushing advice to them. Im sure its already on their radar but itd be so cool to finally have a skate game that nails mini ramp and vert skating
transition skating is my favorite! cant live without it!

This is why I still play skate 3, skater xl and session are great for street skating but there is basically zero transition skating / flow

Edit: I don't understand everything that is said as I also do not create games. One of the main features seems to be that "everything is grindable" because everything is spline. Isn't that how Session already works?
yea but the people making this game were mainly XL players and xl mappers have to deal with manually making things grindable and the players have to deal with how jank they can be if not done properly
I think I have seen a video of a skater XL gamer having to do that once in a video for a huge map, which I assume took hours! 😂
But I'll just consider myself lucky to not to have been involved into Skater XL all that much I guess 🙈

First, thanks for the video.
This may sound silly but for those of us who are really anal about it, I wish we could have continued to see the actual progression footage of the steps in their creation of the game instead of watching him fast-forward 3/4 of the video to show, for instance anatomy and the physics involved with it. Which is great but he should have rewound the video back to where he left off less than 1/4 of the way into the video so we could continue to see and hear what was involved and how they progressed and the thought process and problem solving involved with it.
Or if he did do that but you edited out that portion then I'd like to ask that you consider releasing the full footage so that those of us who are interested in not only the game itself but also the mechanics as well as the process of how they created it can enjoy the complete process and a description of it.
I mean that is why you had one of its Developers as a guest in the first place right?
This will also sound silly and I guess that its just my comedic side coming out. But I'm also curious as to why they chose the title,"West Bank?" And are they planning to have a 2nd edition/part 2 called something like,"The Gaza Strip?"😂
