I think the bible, and history in general is all about context. But context never seems to be taught, with the bible or history. Also, the pics help out alot with names and people. A lot of these characters don't come with a historical depiction, so I hope that using something funny or memorable can at least provide an image to attach to the person or place to make it stick a little better.
Sometimes they help more. With me, it's like a reference number. I visualize the picture, then I remember the information tied to it. The wackier/funnier the pic, the more memorable it is. :)

There was no religious truth presented in this video. This is just a short history vignette of a person merely mentioned in the New Testament, presented for interest.
