    35:55 What you're looking for is called APNAP, or Active Player Non Active Player. Your triggers go on the stack first(its your turn, you are the AP), then theirs, and resolve in first in last out order.

    Cool deck - I think my friend who plays Magic more casually and couldn't understand why people wouldn't want to play against his Stasis deck might like this. LOL

    absolutely love this, now it's gonna be hard to decide between jeskai phlage control and UW chant prison
    edit: I think the rule you were loking for is APNAP active player nonactive player. the effects of active player go on the stack first, but nonactive happen first bc it reolves in reverse order. So in this case the on your turn the tamiyo would die bc bowmaster triggers happen first, but on opp turn it'd be fine, bc then tamiyo happens first

    • @tmGrunty
      @tmGrunty Місяць тому

      No the Tamiyo would have been able to transform because her transform trigger goes on the stack after the OBM trigger and by the time the OBM resolves the Tamiyo is already transform and not the original target anymore.

    • @nagsorinaste5658
      @nagsorinaste5658 Місяць тому +2

      @@tmGrunty only if you do it on opponents turn tho, on your turn tamyio triggers first, trigger on the stack, bowmaster triggers, triggers on the stack target tamyio the resolve top down bowmaster kills tamyio. on opponents turn however bc of APNAP it is how you described. (prbl just a misunderstanding from happen vs trigger, when I say happen I mean they resolve, not that they go on the stack first unless there is a deeper misunderstanding of active and nonactive player but there shouldn't be bc rule 102.1 clearly states that active nonactive are decided by whoms turn it is)

      So if I transform tamiyo end of my opponent's turn, targetting bowmaster on tamiyo would fizzle?

    If: You cast brainstorm, OBM and Tamiyo are on the battlefield and it's your turn, then the following will happen. All your triggers go onto the stack first, then your opponents's. So if it's your turn, brainstorm will resolve, you will draw 3 cards, Tamiyo's trigger will go on the stack then 3 OBM triggers will go onto the stack. The opponent can target your Tamiyo with the 3 OBM triggers. All 3 OBM triggers resolve, killing Tamiyo. Tamiyo's transform trigger fizzles since she is no longer on the battlefield.
    If it's your opponent's turn and you cast brainstorm with OBM and Tamiyo on the battlefield then the following will happen: Brainstorm resolves and you draw 3 cards. 3 Orcish bowmaster triggers go onto the stack (let's assume opponent targets Tamiyo), then Tamiyo's trigger goes onto the stack. Tamiyo's trigger resolves first, it goes to exile, then comes back to the battlefield so that the orcish bowmaster pings "lose track" of it. I believe this then causes the entire ability to fizzle so they don't get to amass either.

    APNAP and First In, Last Out.
    Active Player goes on the stack first, then Non-Active Player goes on stack.
    This means Non-Active players resolves first.
    Your Brainstorm play with Tamiyo and OBM on board would have worked.
    Your draw goes on the stack first, then the OBM can target the Tamiyo on his trigger but on top of that you get the Tamiyo transform trigger which resolves first which means by the time the OBM resolves the original target isn't there anymore and it fizzles.

      @TheRipcurrent Місяць тому

      I believe this is wrong based off of what you said.
      Tamiyo's transform trigger would go on the stack along with the OBM triggers. Your Tamiyo would be on the bottom of the stack based on APNAP. OBM would be able to target and kill Tamiyo before the transform trigger would resolve.

    • @nagsorinaste5658
      @nagsorinaste5658 Місяць тому

      not at 33:33 where it would've been needed because at that point tako was the active player and as you rightly stated "nonactive player resolves first" so tamyio would've died there. but he could've waited for opponents endstep, then tamyio would've tranformed

      @@Takobytewatch the latest CoolStuffInc video with AliEldrazi playing “Tamyio midrange” at the 5:30min mark.
      The order on the stack there was (first in) Brainstorm draw, Bowmaster trigger and then Tamyio transform.
      But it’s probably best to test that again in a friendly match where it’s the active player with the Tamyio to be 100% sure.
