Why does the wood say 1976

But if wheel was there in 1976 how did the tenor ring before the wheel

The bell you see in the middle is the 7th, the tenor is on the far right.
They had wheels before 1976. The set was put in the tower in 1791. The bells where re-hung with new wheels and other bits in 1976
