      @@AmazingRussian Let's say the regular pattern of changing direct speech(indirect questioning) to indirect speech, the "ЛИ" follows immediately after the stressed word
      Now, I'm asking if there's a particular way of changing indirect speech back to direct speech

    Excellent explanation! I got a way to consider the particle ли that maybe can be helpful : I consider it as the word "whether" that has a slight difference form "if".

      You are right. “If” means “whether or not”.
