I think there needs to be new ways to farm XLs besides catching, not only for legendaries but for all pokemon. And to keep the theme of the game in mind, these ways should not be remote as it’s the use of real world locations that makes PoGo unique. I have this idea for gyms where you can receive candies&candy xl for time defending a gym. Say up to 48 normal candies and up to 12 candy XL (so that scaling with 24 hours fits easily). This would allow for people to finally be able to work on Pokémon out of rotation and make gyms competitive again. But where do legendaries fit in here? That’s where the new *legendary gyms* come in. Like how some poke stops are now permanent showcase poke stops, gyms have a rare chance of being legendary gyms, where only legendaries are allowed. I think it’d be best if it were just Friday to Sunday like how 5 star shadow raids are implemented. This would make gyms a more significant part of gameplay again and promote strategy and countering of whatever is in said gym. Let me know what you think of my rant idea for legendary gyms and how you would implement it yourself!

I've been walking a Solgaleo for a year now and I'm only at level 45. Should be a way to shorten the distance needed to get an XL candy from walking the longer you've walked, or the potential to get a guaranteed 1-3 XL's
QOTD: the current XL candy system let’s you trade 100 normal candies for 1 XL, which is very inefficient. This keeps ALOT of people from being able to max out their Pokémon for the Master league. This is probably why so many people only play great league. Imo, they should make the trade to XL candy a 10:1 instead of 100:1, especially due to legendaries being difficult to max out too.
Quick question Callum, would you be interested in some battle submissions of me using Hisuian Braviary in the Psychic Cup? As it loses pretty much every matchup in the meta aside from Claydol, it’s paired with Galarian Slowking & Galarian Rapidash to get shields down for it to sweep. I know you don’t usually accept submissions with two meta and one spice, but as the meta is so limited, wondered if you’d make an exception? I understand if you don’t think it’s quite spicy enough. I initially tried spicier teammates and lost pretty much every game, so was forced to pick meta to save my tanking Elo 😅

QOTD: the only problem in my opinion is that there isn't a way to regularly farm legendary candy. The drop rate sometimes is pretty bad, so you need a lot more than 20km for a single XL candy. I would put the target to 15km for candy.
Question of the day: The fact that the XL system exists is the worst part about it because I don't see why you need an entirely new set of candy to get a Pokémon from lvl 40 to lvl 50 instead of just using your regular candy, XL candy makes it incredibly hard or sometimes nearly impossible to max out rare Pokémon or legendary and mythical Pokémon

When they announced XL rare candies as an incentive for in person raids I was happy about that but then I started doing more in person raids and I'd be lucky if I could get 1 XL rare out of 10-15 raids. What kind of incentive is that?
QOTD: beyond the obvious pay to play XLs for legendaries, the 100:1 candy to XL candy conversion cost. It’d be a lot better if the conversion cost wasn’t so high. I’m sure we have plenty of mons with an extra 1000 candies sitting around and when that’s only converted to 10 xl candies the whole ROI conversion is not that great.
Im not too invested in actually playing master league most of the time but I do enjoy powering up my favorite Pokémon. I’ve often thought of a Candy xl breakdown system where you can turn xl Candy into say, 5 or 10 regular Candy for a Pokémon, an amount that wouldn’t be broken but would allow you to power up Pokémon to at least level 40 easier. Obviously since classic cups don’t exist now I don’t think this’ll ever happen but I wish it would 😅

However, I would like to offer some tips, as a viewer, to maybe help with your channel growth. 1. We’ve seen recently that all this grinding by in the game (stardust, candy, tm’s, and etc) and video making has taking a toll on you mentally and physically. I would suggest probably diversifying your content to something less grind intensive. You’re an incredible battler and I think a lot of us would love to love how to run spice like you do and have decent success with it. I think with your wealth of pogo battle knowledge, you have a lot more to offer for your viewers than strictly spice battle narrations. 2. I love how you ask your viewers a question before the video starts and asked them to comment below. I know this is to generate interaction for both you and the UA-cam algorithm. However, I think it would be more effective if you asked the question and then feature 1 viewer comment in your next video. Giving viewers a chance to have their answer/comment shouted out would definitely incentivize more comments. Anyways, love your videos and your dedication! I will you all the best!
As for diversifying my content, you have to understand that whilst I run crazy spice for my viewers & to make entertaining content, I also do it because that's what I enjoy. I don't enjoy running meta at all, I find it incredibly boring and I don't want to create content if I don't enjoy what I'm doing. As for shouting-out a comment from the qotd in a next video, that's something I did for quite a while when I started doing the qotd, but now that I'm uploading pretty much daily, it wouldn't typically work because I'll have usually recorded the following day's video before that video has been up for long enough to read through all the comments.

I Haven't Had A Single Rare Candy XL from in person raids Since Go Fest Rayquaza Raid Day Even that day rate was disappointing . This THing needs an ASAP improvement
QOTD: The absolute slugging to get the required candies is dreadful and by far the worst part of the XL system. Catching doesn't guarantee an XL, trading doesn't guarantee an XL (who consistently has 100km distance pokemon to trade), walking doesn't guarantee an XL either. The only way to get the XLs needed is to do everything all the time.
Qotd: 100 regular candies for 1 candy XL is a joke. In the time you get 29,600 candies for that pokemon, you will get at least 1000 XLs anyways. 20 candies for 1 XL would be reasonable, 10 would be a little too OP but still better than 100
QOD: it renders a lot of my previous fun and silly maxed out double moved mons useless. A perfect iv 2300 cp dodrio was fun for ultra league, but now I must make an entirely new dodrio to make it “useful” in ultra league since current one maxes over 2600 - making it horrible pvp ivs now

Worst thing about the current XL situation is how pay to win it makes the legendary lvl50 grind. As someone who has taken legendary mons to lvl 50 without paying it takes months of diligent gym play and discipline not to spend your paltry 50 coin daily pittance while you wait potentially months for your target mon to come back into raids. Just make them a 10km walk, that's reasonable
Yeah I love to run a lot of variety, but that's just not possible to do in the Master League as a mostly f2p player. I used to have basically every legendary powered up to level 40 & most decent non-legendaries because I love running random stuff all the time, but now I don't even bother raiding legendaries at all.

Sure I could have probably built a few level 50 legendaries by now if I went out & raided every day & took advantage of double in person passes a few seasons ago but I like to run loads of different Pokemon. I used to have one of pretty much every legendary powered up to level 40 because it was fun to run a bunch of random stuff in Master League, but that's just not possible now without spending hundreds on the game.
Exactly level 40 ML was something that got me excited for PvP but now as you said it's just a massive waste to raid and hope to build a level 50 legendary. Anyways i love what you do for the community and i hope your channel gets the recognition it deserves
Should be allowed to convert excess candy to rare type. Even if you made it really expensive like 100 to 1, I’d love being able to do something with my 2000+ Meltan XLs.
Suggestion; you should do something along the lines of cut commentary instead of having to swallow your spit or taking breaths while commentating. Maybe record over and cut out dead air with no sound or talking ?

Was one of my favourite content creators back then! I often submitted some battles over to his channel whilst I was exclusively making team rocket content. He always used to crack up at his own jokes which I found really funny.
These Pokemon themselves aren't particularly spicy, but you can have a "spicy" moveset which nobody else is gonna be running, which flips certain match-ups or takes opponents off guard like in this video.

I walked close to 2 years with celebi (although I Best buddied like 7 pokemon while doing it) and I agree it is only pain to get those to level 50

I used to have one of pretty much every legendary powered up to level 40 because it was fun to run a bunch of random stuff in Master League, but that's just not possible now without spending hundreds on the game.
Exactly level 40 ML was something that got me excited for PvP but now as you said it's just a massive waste to raid and hope to build a level 50 legendary. Anyways i love what you do for the community and i hope your channel gets the recognition it deserves

Should be allowed to convert excess candy to rare type. Even if you made it really expensive like 100 to 1, I’d love being able to do something with my 2000+ Meltan XLs.

Worst thing is just how master league is basically pay to play because all the top mons (most of em ) are from raids.

Suggestion; you should do something along the lines of cut commentary instead of having to swallow your spit or taking breaths while commentating. Maybe record over and cut out dead air with no sound or talking ?
I understand that you're obviously commenting because it bothers you, & likely not just a small amount, otherwise you'd probably not mention it at all. You are however one of only two people to ever to mention it, so for the sake of catering to two people out 26k subscribers, it's not worth the work. It'd take considerably longer to record & edit videos if I cut each time I had to take a breath or swallow my spit/make a clicking sound. Sorry.
No it's alright, it was just a suggestion from a more professional standpoint. How it may also attract more viewers/subscribers. Something to increase your numbers. Yes I understand it doesnt make sense to cater to 2 people but would it not help for the growth of the channel?@@CallumOnToast

Was one of my favourite content creators back then! I often submitted some battles over to his channel whilst I was exclusively making team rocket content. He always used to crack up at his own jokes which I found really funny.

These Pokemon themselves aren't particularly spicy, but you can have a "spicy" moveset which nobody else is gonna be running, which flips certain match-ups or takes opponents off guard like in this video.
