Thanks for the history of Asanteman . Put this narration in print and on cds for young generations to read and play to appreciate what our elders did for us. I am 74years old and have lived in USA most of my life and have never heard most of what our old lady has narrated. All what l heard when l was in Ghana was Tweneboa Kodua.
Asanteman owes a Great debt of Gratitude to the people of Ejisu talk of Nana Dikopim 1, Nana Afrane Okesse 1 and The Brave Woman Warrior The Legendary Nana Yaa Asantewaa 1
She did not mention Mampong Hene who led the Denkyira war for Otumfo because he was instructed not to go because the one who leads the war will die after 7 days… But she has really taught us a lot…
Asanteman owes a Great debt of gratitude to the Juabens or Dwabens. Not only did they sacrifice themselves for Asanteman, they---the Dwabens gained the Victory over Denkyira at Feyiase. 1) Asenso Kofo, the Juaben warrior of Adwumakase Kese, was a Royal, hailing from Juaben Anou. 2) Ntim Gyakari the Denkyirahene, was pounced upon by a contingent of the Juaben Army led by the Juaben King Adarkwa Yiadom I. Ntim Gyakari was slain. This act of Okyerefuo Adarkwa Yiadom at Feyiase, gained the victory for Asanteman. 3) Okomfo Anokye disguised himself as a female and took the Juaben name Afrakomaa to entice Ntim Gyakari. 4) Sibrekete osi Bantama krotia, founded by some Juaben warriors. 5) Correct spelling, Kagyatia(kejetia of Kumasi). Mampongtenghene Kagya ne Tia, i.e portion of land allocated to the Chief of Mampongteng.

is Amankwaa "frumatu" the same as Dwamena Afram who was an albino and "frumatu" who was also sacrificed by Okomfo Anokye..... history has it that the then transgender Anokye spent days/weeks with Ntim (Denkyirahene) before the climax of the war Nananom were getting scared and had lost hope so he brought Nana Ntim's seed and made a charm with it and demanded for an albino. it is said that they searched throughout the entire union (yet to be Asante Kingdom) and found none until Dwamena Afram from Krobo gave himself up then Okomfo Anokye made a stool which he referred to as the might of Asanteman that draws power and authority he then referred to the albino as power and might and asked him to sit on the stool, when albino sat on the stool he disappeared into the stool this reinstated the hopes and bravery of nananom the stool was then trusted in the care of Tafohene whom was called Kurodua... can NANA POMAA please confirem this...
