This interviewer always does a great job. I’d like to see longer versions of these videos
Micilo 419 he's got balls like them
Micilo 419 for real
@@pri0r_t0_a_weekago...fukwi48 fa
Ricky was introverted but he could run the rock.
Yessir!!!!!! Run Ricky, run!!!
Facts
Hell of a rb!!
This guy was OP in NFL Street for GameCube.
Marc Blanc dude..... off the wall flea flickers for fucking days
And Backyard Sports
Walter Payton was that dude on the first street
Big Marshall Faulk guy in that game dudes got agility on 100
for real
It’s overlooked that he’s part of the 10,000 yard club
Tahruamana Nelly has he played 16 games each season he could have had more
The most forgettable member of the club.
Yeah, he was one of the top backs for several years in a row when he was with Miami before he took the time off. Once he hit his stride in the NFL, he was everything they said he would be. I remember wanting the Browns to draft Williams #1 instead of Tim Couch, because it made more sense to me to get a work horse RB on an expansion team than a QB.
but what do I know?
The Browns didn't have a 1000 yard rusher for their first 8 years back if my memory serves.
@Name Surname I bet he isn't forgettable to those that had to try to take him down when he blew through a good hole during his good years in Miami. This boy was a hard charger.
@@namesurname7172, I highly doubt that Ricky Williams is the most forgettable member of ANY club.
Ricky seems like a really introspective, thoughtful, down to earth, great guy. Respect.
“Anyone who’s a trailblazer will have the scars to prove it”
Ricky's a cool dude, just misunderstood.
Not really
And kinda slow
@@brotherLee340 Uh yes he was dumbass. That's why he struggled with anxiety issues/ which in turned to his pot use that derailed his career. So yeah he definitely went against the grain
TheAlmightyClipse so he’s a dumbass for having anxiety issues🤨 and smoking pot to calm his anxiety. Your mental is more important than a sport.
@@SuLotta. No he was a dumbass for taking a rookie contract that guaranteed almost no money unless he exceeded Terrell Davis's record rushing numbers from a 2000 yard season
Yes.... He was ahead of the curve with the weed situation
Way ahead
Who else looked at his hands after he said he had the smallest hands in the draft 😂😂😂
Yeah, Hines Ward and Jose Altuve got small hands to, go figure
All of us.
And it’s F’n mind blowing those are consisted undersized.
Holy sheesh
@@CSDonohue11 *considered? bc they dont look tiny at all (pause) haha
chris chance
Yea
Considered.
Idk how the heck consisted got there.
Weird
Ricky was high with the munchies when he ate those 3 desserts
Dude was solid muscle. Weighing 240 wasn’t a surprise.
Exactly
Whattttt? Ricky is only a 1 time Pro Bowler???? That should be illegal
Ikr
RW one of my fav rb of all times. But when every team had an elite back on its team back then..i can see why he made pro bowl once. Still a sin tho lol
0680496 man was never able to put it all together. Most think of him from TX and try to put that as his NFL career but naw that man never had no Pro bowl type yrs like that at all. Was all wats something
Charles Thomas man what? Look at his 2nd-5th year stats before he was retired. His first year in Miami he had over 2,000 total yards. Suspensions and the 2 year retirement ruined his numbers.
Charles Thomas bro this man has 10,000 yards rushing. He put something together
This interview is a great example how other people can create narratives especially media with athletes because everything ricky said made perfect sense to me but during that time period the media portrayed him as a weirdo
So many of these young athletes get taken advantage of. All he needed was a proper sports agent with NFL experience and some media training. His career could have been totally different.
Jaret Donald Patterson evidences by how he came back I agree with u frfr
Well " school " suppose to help you outside of the world. Idk why we dont teach financial and mental health classes. Cause that's what we gotta deal with being a adult
@@Dakidpepe there's no money in it that's why.
@@Dakidpepe they taught me that in school.
Williams made a really BAD choice when picking a agent. I guess he can blame that on someone else to. Good running back.11 yr career, a lot more than a lot of other guys ever had.
He was so good the dolphins though hmmm... Everybody knows we gonna run it wtf do we need a QB in the game for. Thus the wildcat was born
Ricky honestly helped alot more people than he knows when he spoke out about Marijuana. He's always been a good guy, he gets so little respect.
The way he described that combine with hands and weight etc....damn that so much like the slavery auction
Yea, crazy huh.
Chill out. It's an in depth physical. Every sport does it, and it's necessary. A thorough and expensive medical is worth every penny when you're talking about giving people millions based off of how in shape they are.
Y’all so quick to compare stuff to slavery lmao
STFU. Those guys are being paid millions and teams want to know the physical Abilities and proportions of players.
I’ve had to take a fucking physical for many jobs and none of them paid of 20 bucks an hour. Hell when I tried out for my middle school basketball team they measured our wingspan, jumping ability, height etc etc etc.
Do you realize how insulting it is to the memory of people who were actually slaves to compare the NFL combine to a fucking slave auction?
@x this is literally 2021 in a nutshell...someone makes a comment then someone comes along and comments in the comment all while acting like they’re above it.
And of course cartoon smiley faces. What is it with you kids today and not being able to communicate without using cartoons?
Happy to see this dude on camera again
The worst draft in Saints history. He was a good RB, but Ditka threw away our season. Glad Ricky came out unscathed though. Seems to be a good dude.
trevbruh not really ricky’s fault though. Not even emitt smith could have lived up to the insane hype of trading all your picks for him
No one could. That's why it made no sense. Build your team, not destroy it with boneheaded mistakes lime trading your entire draft.
That whole Ditka era was trash 1997-99. Ricky came to a lose lose situation. After Ditka left Jim Haslett didn’t like Ricky. Duece McAllister was his guy. That trade to the Dolphins was best thing for him.
When Ricky is clean he's clean shaven, look at that beard and dreads going on!! Still my favorite Saint RB!! Who Dat.
Run Rickey Run!! I’m so glad this man can smile now and understand how valuable he was to the game of football. I’m so appreciate of the years you gave us here in Miami, bless up king👊🏾
Awesome interview, love you Ricky! Would love to see more of this!
Amazing insight! Thank you guys
I’m bout to go watch Ricky William’s rookie season highlights after hearing all this
So well spoken.
My favorite rb of all time . I started following the dolphins becuase of him ..... and I’m from Boston . He had that power and break away speed.
Ricky Williams is one of the reasons I became a Dolphins fan. One of the first games that I saw from beginning to end was of the Dolphins with Ricky. He was a complete beast in that game and I started following the team from then on.
He changed a lot! Man. He sounds different too.
Great job and great interview!!!
Great interview, wish they were longer
The way Ricky talks massages your mind and plays a violin through your spirit as it caresses your thoughts 💭
My first time watching Bleacher Report. But it won't be my last. Well done interview.
I always liked Ricky Williams. He seems like a real nice guy. I wish him well.
Great interview!
as a lifelong Saints fan, i’ve always loved ricky, and still do. one of my all time favs. wish things could’ve worked out better between the 2, but always loved how ricky handled his business.
Great guy. His humility is refreshing.
This is a great format.
Great job by the interviewer and i love the pool
Ricky was the man. On and off the field.
Cool vid
good interview. "trailblazer" important word... I wish he had gotten his money... I loved him in Miami. He fitted perfectly
Ricky is such a chill dude, i know his son and i've gotten to talk to him a couple times
I couldn’t stop looking at his hands after the draft combine, hand measurement story
Till This Day! Ricky Williams still my favorite football player ever.
Ricky is such a nice and likable guy
Ricky Williams was the Colin Kaepernick of weed protests.
@Mutombo you right dawg. Hella right. Me personally, I don't donate to cancer research cuz I've never had it. I mean, if we're following your logic.
@Mutombo you don't understand the basis for even your own argument. What a waste of air.
Mutombo you must be dumb. Do some research
@@theGiver3 thats how you know you won when you use their own points against them lol
Mutombo You have to stop lying. Kaep has spent his own money donating to various causes related to his protest. You can disagree with the protest, but you can’t make up your own facts.
This information is readily available. As a reminder, stop lying.
One of my fav running backs
I need the outtakes to this interview ASAP!
You have to meet him again, but do his full career break down. One of his biggest feats, was when he was suspended, he came to the CFL, 3 down league, not alot of running for the backs really, he came to Toronto, and TORE it up, and the entire CFL feel inlove with him, even though the narrative that was out about him due to his suspension with the NFL. Salute to Ricky, he's a real one, never gives up or gives in, and his a damn work horse.
Amazing how much crap he got over his weed, yet now in a lot of places it's legal not generally frowned upon. Still crazy how many sports and leagues still see it as such an issue. But having having gone back and looked at Williams life and football career i gained a new found respect for what he did and for being the person he is.
It's great to hear Ricky in this type of setting
My new favorite show
His hairline used to be so solid I thought he would never go bald crazy
Between the helmet wearing away the hair and steroids most ex nflers are bald...the ones with t.v. hair are fake
Diet
I really glad the colts picked Edgerrin James.
Ricky Williams was so great in his prime.... a guy too many ppl forget about. Legend
All jokes aside with all of Rickys antics ; that man was a freaking BEAST
One of the greatest to ever do it in a short time
The way the media portrayed Ricky I always thought that he was alof and erogant. After seeing him do interviews like this you just see that he was a very intelligent individual that was in touch with himself. One of the most misunderstood players. I have a lot of respect for him.
Ricky might be the chillest dude around, next to The Dude of course. It's a league game Smokey...
Well spoken.
One of my favorite players too watch all time
I'll never forget when he pushed up from the ground with 1 arm and kept running 💪🏽
Ain't NO WAY Rick only had 1 pro bowl
A trailblazer, no doubt!
RICKY WAS AHEAD OF HIS TIME GENUINE AND GENIUS AT THE SAME TIME GREAT CAREER RICKY IM A DOLPHINS 🐬 FAN AND DONT HATE YOU ONE BIT
Dude was a BEAST.
Love the dessert part lol
The desert cart story is fantastic.
Ricky was one coolest runner's backs seens Earl Campbell at Texas in my opinion.. And I thought it was Percy lol Miller..
Couldnt wait to get to the comments after seeing him lookn like this
He was a beast at Texas!
My favorite running back of all time!!!!!
One of my favorite backs of all time
One thing I wanted was for Ricky to get a ring! But it’s good to see him doing well.
Ricky Williams is the coolest.
That was cool Rickie.
Ricky Williams has vibes of John David Washington 🤔🤔🤔
They played you Rick! You aint the only one....
damn ricky eating good huh LOL
I did not expect his voice to sound like that
Ricky: "Trail Blazer"😤...🥴
Touche Ricky, touche😁
My favorite RB
That was some bullshit they did to ricky at no limit, after all that ricky still a cool humble man.
He seems like he has a good heart
RICKYYYYYYY
Wow this guy doesnt even seem like a football player. just a regular dude. Mad chill vibes.
Ricky didn't care about what people thought. He just did him and people made him a villain for it... he was ahead of his time
My favourite player of all time. Neon Deion is a close second
One of my favorite RBs ever but dude was so naive and lacked suched self awareness when he was younger smh
that guy was insane on the field in his prime
Ricky was the man! Just could have used a little guidance that first year
Fucc whatchu talm bout. Ricky in tha cover of madden was a beast with tha dolphins
The three deserts story is awesome. At least he didn’t want ketchup or A-1 with a well done steak. Or order chicken fingers for dinner. Like another post points out, dude is a 10,000 yard rusher.
Fucking Legend in Ricky!
Total different perspective of him now
Don't listen to the haters Ricky, we love you man.
what’s the intro song
That does not look like Ricky Williams😂
I had to double take myself
It does just run down
It does
Damn Ricky.
He's well spoken
3:44 damn he really do have tiny hands lol they look funny on such a big dude
