I am looking forward all the more now as I going next year to visit my brother who lives in NZ and we have entered for 2025 event. Two ol sixty something blokes ticking off a bucket list event. Two questions, as I am too old and don’t have a FaceBook account….did you ever really need to camp? Did you need everything you took or needed something you didn’t have, I noted closely the footage of you clothing etc? Thanks.
Yeah - watching this before I decide to fully commit - much appreciated. I've got a few of questions i hope you can answer for me. You've got 2 head units on your bars, ones a garmin, what is the other? The other thing is who took the drone footage? You? What were you using? (I'm figuring it's a rare thing to do so the more memories captured the better). Finally thanks for the inspiration, I'm assuming you had no major issues. I'm much closer to committing having watched it.
@@sidinknee Hi Sid - glad you enjoyed - it was nice to capture the trip but also hope it inspires others to get out there There’s a spot tracker up front - that’s part of the entry for the event (search map progress sounds 2 sounds to get an idea of how people time their ride) Yes I took the drone footage - DJI mini 4 - more expensive models will follow you, this one did the trick & could be stowed easily in the bike bag Join the FB page if you haven’t - plenty of good info & inspiration on there
