there has never been anything like this before, or after. thank you JJ Audubon for your unmatched contribution to our understanding of the natural world.
Such an iconic, wonderful work of art & historical benchmark of ornithology. Something to always be revered.

Once in a lifetime work..

Wow, this is so cool! Thanks for sharing!
A revelation, indeed. This is incredible!
Some of these birds looks like me, when someone tells that I need to announce my presentation today, but all I have is a title
Right?! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Absolutely stunning!
Thank you. Your beautiful video was perfect to end our learning about him in our homeschool. I read to my kids the book The Story of John J. Audobon by Joan Howard from The Good and The Beautiful library. And I hope someday to see a copy of Audubon’s Birds of America in person.
i hope you allow your children to understand his connection to the study of PHRENOLOGY and his opinions about the SLAVES he owned as well . the full picture is important , and they don't give you that in public school

The size is not unique. The Flora y Fauna de Filipinas is the same size
Yeh but books in double elephant folio are rare.
@@henrylivingstone2800 the Flora y Fauna de Filipinas was the same. The amazing thing about Audobon's work is that he attempted to paint the birds as big as they were in real life.
