I'd like to point out too, if you edit swap rather than resetting and making a new edit, your build will have more hp than resetting it completely. With a wall that's one shot, anyone could just walk in and spray for free

I don't comment often but thank you for this, I have always wondered why I couldn't do this but could never figure it out and you are the first person I've seen explain it, all this time I just had the reset building edit binds switched and that's why it wouldn't work. Thanks Billy!

yeah you mentioned the mouse wheel reset thing long time ago I've been using it ever since
With the new reset settings on console we are unable to change edit. And since I've changed to reset my senses and my build got worst. Should I go back or keep reset option ?

I used to do this I stopped playing and started playing again and completely forgot about that
If you can, and your ping allows you to edit fast, resetting can and is (in most situations) better because of two things; your build is invincible for a short amount of time right after you confirm your edit, which means that if your opponent tries to damage (any damage, pickaxe or bullet) your build, he’ll waste a shot. Secondly; after resetting your build, then editing it again it becomes a guaranteed one shot. This makes it very easy to time the shot right after your opponent breaks the build thereby getting you some free damage.
I would love to see a video on invincible builds because I don’t think nor see many people using it to their advantage, and it is really powerful. 👍
I don't like discussing zero-ping advantages like damage canceling, running cone wall-phasing, mantle-boosting, or first-trying. Most players can't do those things, and to be honest those advantages are extremely unfair to the rest of us.
@@BillyBicep That is true but damage canceling as you say it doesn’t only apply to zero ping peters. You can do it at any ping, although above 60 - 80 ping you have to have very good predictions. Any build, right after you edit it, becomes invincible for a short amount of time. Yes, if you very rapidly edit the same build it’ll stay invincible but it’s not a requirement. Why I’d love to see a video on it is only because what separates a good player from an incredible player are mind tricks like these, predicting what your opponent is gonna do.

But you cant do this if you use reset on release
I find it amazing that at a high level players do not watch what has occurred in a match and then either 1) simply lift these mechanics or 2) wonder why the other player was able to do something. Do they think they were outaimed and requeue?
So I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. I have the settings you mentioned. When I have a right window open and then hit my edit button (F) I have two options hit F for confirm, or right click to reset. If I hit F it takes me out of edit mode, and if I hit right click it just resets the edit. What am I missing?
Turn "auto confirm edits" to just "edits", not "reset" or "both".

For me personally it's so difficult to swap using a controller. Not impossible, but I don't have the skill and optimal binds for that
I play comfirm edit on release so i cant do this 😢
