Thank you for being here! In that video I was just scribbling in an app called "Notability." I used it in college to handwrite notes. It's nothing special for knitting though. I imagine there might be actual knitting appropriate apps that help with pattern design. I know some friends who use websites and apps for colorwork charts but I can't think of what they are called off the top of my head. Perhaps someone here in the comments will be able to help us!

I have to agree with egore reknits ' comment that Ned really adds to the Q&A format. You both have such lovely, soothing speaking voices that it made me think: do all singers have good speaking voices? Does voice training alter or enhance your regular voice? I use some spaghetti storage jars that I found at a charity shop for my 20 grams or less wool goodies. I also find that charity shops always have yarn and straight knitting where I live. The yarn is mostly acrylic, but occasionally you can find wool blends too. Thank you for the podcast.

Speaking and singing voices don't have to work hand in hand, but they often benefit each other in the way they are used and taken care of!
When I soak and block a superwash sweater the first time and it turns out too large, I put it in the dryer while it is still damp for a short time and let the heat shrink it. I've done this many times and am always happy with the shrinkage. I prefer a more fitted sweater.

I always guage swatch but found with superwash wool the finished project still grows beyond my washed and blocked guage swatch. For myself, the stitches even look larger or looser so I usually go down a needle size to get the fabric I want in my finished garment.
Yes! I find the results to be the same as yours. I typically keep the recommended needle size but work a size smaller than I really need. And by the time it's blocked, it fits perfectly! It always feel risky to cast on for a smaller size, but I know from experience that superwash will always grow soooo much :)

I’ve recently moved from overseas back to the Midwest and am trying to get my bearings regarding yarn stores, shops I might want to visit, etc. While doing a search for retailers for a certain yarn I was interested in, one shop mentioned in Ohio was yarnbyrds in Columbus. I can’t seem to find an actual street address. Do you know this shop? It appears they have a bus called Birdie which drives around? Just wondering if you are another viewer might have a clue, thanks!
I'm familiar with that! They are a yarn truck that travels to festivals! Beautiful selection, but as far as I know, it is just a mobile set up - no brick and mortar location. Welcome back to the Midwest!
I really love your peg boards of yarn. My family has several cats, so for now most of my yarn is stored in clear bins in a closet. One day when I am able to have a craft room I would like to have a peg board wall to display yarn. So, definitely keeping your display in my craft room ideas folder. I really enjoy how you do these Q&A videos. Having your husband read the questions is great! Such soothing voices all around.
I very much enjoy your channels. It's interesting how many creative folks also love classical music. One of my long term friends is a 'classical' metalhead, but hey, she knits like a champ. Stitching in the high notes is a retired opera singer and knits, crochets, cross stitches and sews amazing project bags for her small business. There are more but you get the idea. And you fit into that special group. Yay.
