Thank you Mark I listened to you all afternoon and I really enjoyed knitting listening to your comments!!!!! I needed a “pick me upper “ I am also a musician - a professional organist- and always turned to knitting to untangle all the abuse you can get from playing in churches. Thank you so much.

You make me feel like a newbie, but I do knit continental. I noticed that my pearl stitches are looser than my knitted stitches. Garter stitche is loose and stockinette is stripey. Maybe just knowing that solves half of the problem.

Your sweater making skills are so inspiring! I'm currently attempting a seaglass stitch hat, thanks to you 😻

Mark. I just stumbled across your videos yesterday and have watched a few and plan to watch all the ones you have posted on here. We are living in a very cruel world right now. Don’t let any of those disgusting comments get to you. I always say to these people. If you can’t say anything good don’t say anything at all. You sound like an amazing person. I am 75 years old and love love love knitting. I completely understand your passion for it. I love to knit every spare minute I can and I also love to have all the gadgets and yarn that makes me happy. I wish you much happiness in your personal life and in your crafting life. When talking about the surprise color you might think of it in terms of story telling where “conflict” is what makes the story interesting. Perhaps in this case the word “tension” provides the correct level of interest without being too difficult. (Reading further in the comments, I like the use of poison as well). As a side note, on my Scotland trip we bought a lot of wool clothes (most in Stornaway on Lewis) and mailed our dirty clothes home because we weren’t worried about losing those. 😊

I understand your admiration for Marie Wallin's fair isle patterns - I've made many of them myself including 2 of your planned pieces - and her colour and pattern management is superb. She created her own wool brand to add to that special understanding of working many colours with a lot of pattern and making it look cohesive and also beautiful. The colours in the photographs although lovely, don't do full justice to those colours. What I don't understand then, is why you just didn't buy her British Breeds wool, either when you were over in the UK or from somewhere like the Wooly Thistle in the US? I appreciate though that being in the middle of all that colour in Jamieson's must have been a mixture of overwhelming and absolutely fantastic!

You are much more chill than I would have been! I definitely would have asked why they hate it so much they felt the need to tell me that. One, to match their energy, two out of genuine curiosity. I also probably would have given her the scissors back and left. I also probably would have asked why she was so aggressive! If I were that employee and someone used a product I didn't like, I would like to know why you like it and why you chose it, so I would ask those questions. I might explain "it's not my favorite, so I'm curious" kind of a change my mind situation, because maybe my first opinion was wrong and I need to give it another thought.

I mean she might have had a terrible experience with the yarn so much so that it has scared her for life. But come on, no need to keep going on and on. I chuckle a bit imagining my mothers reaction had she been in your. First time she would be taken aback by the persons brazenes and probaly have shrugged it of with "yeah wel, each to their own" and continued to be nice and pleasant. Second time she'd be think what is this persons problem, but she would give them the benefit of the doubt and and say "yes I could understand that earlier, do have a bad experience with it? What happened?" And continue a polite conversation about this persons issue with this yarn. Third time she'd be out off patient wanting to slap the person but reply with the grace of Dame Maggy Smith "yes I think we have established that. Now do I have your approval to purchase these scissors or are they too, inferior?"

The vacuum bags are just gold. I use them for long term storage, storing seasonal items and they are a great way to protect your yarn if you are in the process of moving
