I’m happily married for 8 years to my husband and we have been together for 10 in total. Long sustained, monogamous love in a gay relationship is definitely possible, speaking from experience. ☺️

There are just a couple of weeks left to see Jim in “A Man of No Importance,” and I can’t recommend it highly enough. A small-scale, gorgeously acted and directed musical Off-Broadway. It was my best night in the theatre in my recent New York trip.
I don't believe I've watched Big Bang Theory in full. Caught a glimpse of it here or there. I don't really watch TV at all, but Jim Parsons seems like a very nice guy. I appreciate how hard it is to be who you are. It must be extra stressful when you have eyes on you every time you say or do anything. If he's happy, I'm happy for him.

Its so nice that he is interviewed about his husband as if he has a wife. By that, I mean its so insignificant that he is married to a man and compared to 30 yrs ago, it isnt the feature of the interview that he is gay. Its more interesting that they met on a blind date rather than that they are both men. I hope 100 years from now, people wont even feel the need to "come out" and that it will just uninteresting.
I also love how he doesn't make his sexuality his entire personality. He's not outlandish, he isn't loud about it, and I respect that as someone who is queer. The way he carries himself is very pleasant and mature.
I am close to 60 years old and have seen A LOT of TV sitcoms. IMO Parson's "Sheldon" on "The Big Bang Theory" is one of the Top 10 characters ever in comedy sitcom history. Such a great character interpretation from him. He is a brilliant all around actor, too...
I know! How many characters in sitcoms have we seen that we truly feel like telling them "oh honey let me give you a hug I know you're awkward about hugs but let me give you a hug you are so precious in spite of your weirdness?!?"
And then you realise one of your daughters is a six year old Sheldon, and you say to new people and teachers you meet, "she's a Sheldon personality," and they get it and know just how to treat her right away. They aren't the least bit offended when she corrects their grammar and will say, "well, actually, that's not quite right...." before correcting them - and you thank the Gods for that brilliant character from a tv show who has helped so many people understand a fairly unusual personality. 😉

Our bus driver from Dublin to Belfast gave a constant running tour and when he was going to give a personal opinion, he would say, "to be fair..." So lovely. Jim's accent was pretty good! Looking forward to seeing this film!
It really wasn’t anything like any of the several Dublin accents, speaking as a person from Ireland who lived in Dublin for years his accent was more Darby O‘Gill and the little people but he is so charming and lovely a person it is impossible as a real Irish citizen to take offence.

I had high hopes for the BROS movie and I was highly disappointed. I was hesitant about Spoiler Alert because of the hype that proceded it just as it had done with BROS. BUT, Spoiler Alert was fantastic. What a good movie with believeable characters. I didn't cry....but I loved it! Kudos to Jim Parsons and Sally Field and the rest of the cast.
