As a brewer myself. I love the fact your upset about the waiting. Our crew has a saying, all brewing is, is, "hurry up and wait" that's brewing in a nutshell. You rush around for 30 mins and wait an hour... this game is awesome
Drae, you need to wait after each ingredient is added, it shows at the bottom bar how long to wait, that’s why it closes the door automatically, once it’s finished you can open and add the other ingredients, it isn’t a “game breaking bug” but rather apart of the process, I hope you see this
Yeah, that seems stupid. I assume that's a realism thing, but then why can you open the lid and it's not more obvious? Either way, it's still a sloppy implentation and some basic QA would fix that
@@Altair1243WAR The fact that the door closes automatically should clue you in that it's doing something and not just making you open the door again. And if you bother to look at the screen that's literally right next to the door there is a progress bar and a countdown timer for the process that's currently underway. They could delay the tutorial popping up to tell you to throw the next ingredient in until the current process is completed. But honestly you have to be pretty fucking stupid not to realize what's happening here.
2:04 I really think drae should go get forklift certified irl because than he'd be just as frustrated as I am at him leaving his forks at clothesline level >.
Drae the prongs on the forklift can clip through the side of the delivery truck so all you got to do open the doors and snap your pallet to the forklift kinda cheesy but it’s easier
Hey Drae! I have done a bit of brewing and hope to start a company! may I suggest doing SMALLER batches and see how the popularity works out and if it good just use the same recipe and do a super batch and you should make profit!. Also I think 50% popularity is like the launch hype and may dwindle if you take to long to actually get the beer brewed, bottled and sold, so you need a recipe and everything on stand by, organized, and pre bought! (It may be best to brew the beer first before launch. if the game allows you to) Keep up the good work bro! I love your vids! and I wish you great luck! Edit: PS I have not played this game but the economics might work with a micro-brew.
Drae my dude you make me howl laughing, also contracts are alright but make more money just buying n crushing the raw molt without the contracts :) a full pallet is bout 600 something bucks keep rocking brother
Not sure if it's mentioned or not in the comments already but when I played recently you can actually grab the pallets from the side of the truck. When you see the icon in the bottom left turn green, press r and it should lock the pallet to your forks. It's how I pull out all the pallets off the truck quickly using the forklift.
You don’t have to hold down the “Refine Grain” lever. Just hold it down hit esc key, release the lever and then esc again. You do however have to stay next to it but at least you don’t have to hold it 🤷♂️
I enjoyed watching Drae's frustration. I also enjoyed the cuts, so we didn't have to watch all the tedious work. Maybe for April Fool's Day, Drae can play a tedious game, and do no cuts at all. That'd be funny.
Hey Drae! I bought this game an hour after release and have been playing like nuts since, thanks to you, so here’s a tip: Raise the forks and STICK THEM TROUGH THE SIDE of the truck, then it R when the square is green. You’ll thank me later! 😂👍 I do it all the time.
If you want to cheat the contracts, you can also just buy the already crushed malt and sell it directly off the truck. I like to ram the forklift into the side of the truck and spam R to pull the pallet out, then turn and drop it into the pickup
super glitchy, i played in beta (2 days ago) and i’ve been interested since i saw him play before (2 days ago) but if you read the steam reviews you’ll see the large majority are mad at how many bugs there are and that it should still be in beta
Yeah, just watching this is enough to tell you this isn't a 1.0. It's essentially a traditional Beta/later-stage Early Access I would not buy this until significant patching has occurred
Drae the forklift has a red butron in the bottom left while driving it that locks the palette in place while moving so the disaster you had the first episode wont happen again. Should speed things up alot. Edit: oh looks like you figured it out since the button was blue not red.
Yet another thing the game should explain. If you have to rely on the fact you made the game to play it ably, then you're doing a bad job of tutorializing the mechanics developers (most people know this)
@@Altair1243WAR i dont know i usually rely on my eyeballs in games. When theres like four buttons when you get in the vehicle and ones red saying what it does i generally am able to put two and two together
As far as unloading the truck. As long as you got the liftgate down. You could put the forklift forks through the side of the truck and press R. And it will remove it from the truck.
I saw that a few people got here before me, but that wasn't a bug Drae. Where it says "MASHING" with a timer at the bottom, that's how long you wait to add the next ingredient. Use the time in between to get other ingredients ready. Looking forward to the next one, where maybe you don't torture yourself 😂
When you use the forklift it’s probably not working correctly because you do not stick the forks in the correct spot on the pallet. You want the forks in the holes where there’s boards on the bottom and the top They’re being boards on the top, and the bottom will not allow the pallet to tip off theoretically
I assume the issue with the contracts not accepting the malt bags in activation order, could be related to a function handling the Array of contracts. It prioritizes the new Array entry instead of the one that was activated before it. So I assume that once you complete the order for the new contract, the old order will then accept its outstanding product and mark itself as complete. This is definitely a bug that the dev should look into.
Noone else here will understand, but for some reason the reverse sound of the forklift makes my brain think of the sound the middle launchers did in a car game called Mashed on PS2
Drae, you've been picking up the pallets sideways this whole time, if you put the forks in on the adjacent side, you'll find things will be a lot easier.
Instead of progressing the objectives and expanding, is it possible to get more lower-level machines to crank out a bunch of contracts? With the lower stuff expanded and mastered, it'd probably help you with your later machinery. Good luck with the bugs! Thanks for playing as always.
There's really no need to add anymore equipment other than a few more pallet locations you can pull from for the crusher input. Once you get to the point where you've got two employees you can just continuously crank out refined malt and keep cycling through contracts as fast as you can load and unload the trucks. Whatever you spend on raw malt you end up basically doubling, so it's super easy and quick to build up a lot of cash pretty quickly. Then you can breeze through unlocking all the rest of the stuff without ever having to stop and go do more contracts to be able to afford the next thing.
For those curious, im prty sure the reason the top door kept brkin for Drae is bcuz when he gets the yeast (and the malt), it unloads that area and even tho it reloads it back in open visually; its somehow not reloaded as open in terms of how other objects interact with the door He just needs to not open the door until he has the materials rdy by it Which i mean, as a homebrewer; that shud alrdy be the case for sanitary reasons... Like, why wud you open the door and leave?!?
You actually have to wait for the timer on the panel to count down after you add the individual ingredients. The timer will be longer or shorter depending on how big a batch you’re making. As per typical Drae, it’s not a bug, he just needs to read the screen directly in front of him.
The super disappointing thing about this game is that once you finally get everything unlocked and you're excited to start doing huge runs of beer. You find out you actually lose money making beer and the only way to actually make money is refining malt and selling it.
I honestly don't understand either why do you need to upgrade your employees to do something just hire one with that specific skill but all games are different
On a bit of a rant, dev: Why program the game to close the lid of the tank, if you have to put more stuff in? Just have the player manually open and close it when needed Also, a bit uh ballsy to have such an egregious bug remain in the game. Just about any level of basic QA/playtesting could weed that one out. It's not even listed as EA, yet already has a bad standard for quality. I see the reviews are justified, sadly
You keep restarting the game instead of just waiting for the process to finish each step. Funny that it lets you do that though. This game is insanely buggy so looking forward to more raging as you beat your head against this.

Watching Drae suffer while playing life simulator games is endlessly amusing. I am so glad he's playing these games so I don't have to.

@@space_engeneer5022 I'll be honest, at 16,64€ yes, it is worth it. I mean, it has its flaws but yeah, I'd say it is worth it.

lol. Drae getting stuck behind the staircase is why I'm here.😂
The game wasnt breaking . you have to wait some time after adding each thing if you read the machine lol
Drae and reading don't really fit in the same sentence after all.
I'm impressed drae figured out using the forklift to lift the bags in less than an episode
