I tried this along with you & mine turned out great!!! I did pink watermelon! So yummy!! Thank you. Glad u didn't use any water like others claim you have to do... this was easy peazy! Thank you!!
Tip: if you don’t have flavor, you can replace some of the corn syrup with maple syrup to make maple flavor. (Edit) if you put too much in it won’t taste very good, and it will get more sticky the more maple syrup there is.
Reduced juice works well for flavoring and is healthier than the artificial flavors. I am making these as we speak. I've used juice to make sour lemon/grape, orange/pineapple and I'm making sour white grape right now and honey crisp apple. I have used extract though and I make cake batter flavor with that. I only use one cup of sugar though. I found 2 cups made it much too sweet.
I found your video TRYING to find a decent recipe for old fashioned Barley Pops. My uncle just turned 93 and we had a long talk about these delicious barley pops shaped like lobsters that both he got as a child, as did I. I found some online, but they tasted nothing like the ones we used to get in Boston. I’ve seen others asking about them and came across 2 recipes-neither of which worked at all. I’ve got a friend in China who says barley sugar pops are popular there-in some areas, and is trying to hunt a recipe down for me. If you know of any, please let us know!
As the flavourings are made with PG it's perfect for dissolving like in and cools quick enough for it not to harm any active ingredients.Thank you for helping some people in need over in England.💚
I'm a hypnotherapist and plan to make lolliepops with special herbs to help my clients quit smoking. In addition to that will make lozenges with herbs in them.
hi i made mine n honey flavour theyvtasted great and also set hard butvtheyvwere sticky and chewy wen i bite into.pls can u tell me why this happened as i was expecting to get a hard set candy on a lollystick
Apply a thin layer of corn syrup to the lollipop to make it sticky and give the wafer paper something to grab onto. Don't use water for this because it can melt the paper.
i love the way u make your lollipops ♥️ With the left over product you should have let it harden then Smashed it into pieces using a steak smasher or a hammer ☺️
Sounds like the temp didn’t reach 300 F. That’s the hard ball stage. When the candy is cooking, you can take some of the candy and drop some in a glass of water. Let it sit for a minute bc it is hot. Take the candy out. If the candy forms a hard ball, then it’s ready. If it’s still soft, it’s not ready.
How to avoid them from being sticky? I brought it to the correct temp and they hardened(like..it's hard from the inside and even outside)..it's just that they stick to the fingers a lil and I can't put them in wrappers because of that.. Is it because of the humidity? It's around 27-30° C where I live

It was seemingly not getting to 300 so I turned it to high heat when I got close to 300 it was smoking an my fire alarm went off I pour it in the molds it was the foulest most burnt lolipop known to man
It’s ok hopefully my next batch will be nice like yours .. at first I thought it was the thermometer but after some thinking belive I didn’t actually dissolved the sugar not thinking it was important an heated it up to fast an rushed it which made the sugar burn up rather then bringing up the temperature

I can taste it. My mouth is watering. Great videos, one question.. how do you get the kids out of the kitchen... lol... that's a trick.
I have a separate kitchen for making my candies and baked goods. And this was during the day while they were at school when I filmed this. 😊
Well planned, 👌
If you do this a lot, might want to consider a metal pour spout pitcher. A long nosed one. Might make life easier.
That’s a good idea!
Cinnamon: DEFINITELY reduce the amount slightly and then coating with a thin layer of powdered sugar while still hot helps a LOT!

I wanted lollipops after reading Duplicity!!
Thanks for the video! I made some while watching you! The only thing I did different was use the measuring cup to pour into the molds
Yeah I need to use a measuring cup next time time too. 😊
As a kid, I wanted to know how Lollipops are made and I never search it on youtube but now I know how there made.
I looked this up to try to make it in job simulator. I have no idea why
Did it work?

Can u please make a video on how to make gummy bear 🥺🥺🥺. Please 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you! How long did they take to solidify/dry? I didnt hear you mention a time frame.
Thanks ignore the pfp my kids
At what temperature do I add the syrup to the mold before the syrup is sticky
Yes
You could. I would make sure to cut off any sharp points if they have any
This is really good video I also have a cooking channel it’s dessert 911 and I really wanted to make candy so thank you
And how long to dry
It depends on the humidity really. Maybe 20-30 minutes or longer
Is it possible to use a ladle instead of pouring from a pan? I can see myself pouring it everywhere but the mold.
I think that would work! Just be real careful it doesn’t spill on you as you do it since it’ll probably be really sticky as it’s cooling.
What if u want the lollies dark n opt to use brown sugar?

I like your hair style 😘
Thank you so much for sharing!!
Better than the dollerstore junk
Really helpful video
Did you use 15ml of flavor for 2 cups suger?
I dram 3.7 ml
It depends on how strong you want the flavor. It doesn’t take much.
When I suck on mine its hard but after a while it's almost like a toffee how do I fix that?
Were can I get the color for in Cameroon😍
Great video!! May I ask where did you purchase your Lollipop molds?
Thanks! I got them on amazon.
I wanna make less quantity but I don’t know the Ingredients
Cut the recipe in half
It is all about making lollipops🍭
yep!
Spray your measuring cup with pam cooking spray.
The first time I added flavouring, I wasn't sure how much to add. I added too much cinnamon too and coughed and coughed!

Can we talk about her insane stove for a minute?
Insane? Lol
Dear mam can you tel me about if suger is 1kg and how much shuld be syrup pl
Sugar is 2 cups and syrup is 2/3 cup
@@coldmountainmomma One cup is 250g, so a kilo of sugar is four cups. So it's four cups of sugar and one and one third cup syrup.
What type of gloves do you use ?
I used some that are like cotton canvas. You can still feel the heat some
Wow
Any tips for cleaning the utensils off after making the candy? Thanks!
I put them in really hot water and it helps dissolve it.
Hi if I want to add a sugar paper design should I do it first?
Apply a thin layer of corn syrup to the lollipop to make it sticky and give the wafer paper something to grab onto. Don't use water for this because it can melt the paper.
Maam can you list the recipe for me..❤❤
Thinking of turning this to business..😍
hi, question. what to do when the lollipop gets moist?
You can put some powdered sugar on them
Greetings to you from Algeria, good luck to you
Any particular brand??? Also I’ve seen them say light corn syrup, does it matter?
I use any brand of light corn syrup.
And how long would you keep it on the oven
You just have to watch the temperature.
Can we add golden syrup instead of corn syrup ??
To replace light corn syrup, substitute equal parts honey or "golden syrup," which is another processed sweetener made from cane sugar.
Hi, do you have to you oil based food colors? Tfs.
I use gel food coloring. It seems to work best. I don’t think it has oil in it.
@@coldmountainmomma thank you.
Lollipops are sweet
Thanks, captain obvious
Why it doesn’t taste like the flavor I put? I did everything you said
What flavor did you use?
i love the way u make your lollipops ♥️ With the left over product you should have let it harden then Smashed it into pieces using a steak smasher or a hammer ☺️
Yeah I did that the next time 😊 works great
What’s the proper name for those gloves you’re using to help pat The candy?
Those were cotton gloves but I recommend getting heat resistant gloves. I could still feel the heat.
How long do you let them set before you bag them? Money came out so sticky
Humidity plays a big part too. If it’s real humid, they won’t turn out. I let the sit until they are cool to touch.
Can you use a skewer?
For the lollipop sticks?
Yes
And mine burnt
Can you put alcohol in the mix? Or CBD oil? Asking for a friend.
Yes you can. You can google some recipes for alcohol and cbd oil hard candy.
@@coldmountainmomma thank you! Gonna try it out.
Hello, what do you add with water, sugar and glucose?
Flavoring and food coloring
i tried it and the texture becomes yellowish. any tip in making it vert transparent?
Try cooking it faster, the longer it takes to come to temp, the more chances of a yellowing color. Make sure your thermometer is accurate too.
Yummy
Do these turn hard ? Mine are a bit soft and sticky.
Yes they are supposed to turn hard. Humidity and not cooking long enough can cause them to be soft and sticky
I did this recipe and the candy just got sticky and never hardened, what can I do differently

Take the candy out. If the candy forms a hard ball, then it’s ready. If it’s still soft, it’s not ready.
Sorry if I missed it in the video but how long does it take for them to set in the molds?
It varies. I would say check them in 20-30 minutes. Make sure they are cooled before taking them out.
Thanks!
Yummie!
Where did you buy the foodcoloring?
Americolor or Wilton food coloring
You can get it at Walmart, craft stores or online
I made it but how to can hard it? Its a problem
How long has it been?
Can I use dark corn syrup
I’ve never used dark. I honestly wouldn’t know if it would work or not.

If it’s humid, they will be sticky. You can rub some powdered sugar on them to help with that
How long does it sit for it to get hard?
Depending on your temperature in the house. 20-30 minutes usually
hey chaps who thinks theyre proper solid
Yep they are solid
Me after duplicity :
Abt how many flavor drops should I put in?
It really depends on the flavor. Cinnamon, peppermint etc maybe 3-4 drops. But other flavors like fruity flavors I would use the whole dram.
