This is a great idea! Snowflakes are always differ not and I can imagine endless variations. I appreciate you writing the colours on the side. I am also a Lamy pen enthusiast and it is excellent for sketching. I use Rohrer & Klingner "Sketch and Ink" in Sepia, which is waterproof but formulated for fountain pens. I ❤ your finished snowflake. Thanks!
Perfect tutorial for the day, Shana! I painted 6 different versions on watercolor postcards. Used watercolor for background and watercolor brush markers for snowflakes. So fun! Thank you for the inspiration 🙂🎨
This is beautiful thank-you Shania..I really hope you and yours had a fantastic Thanksgiving ❤️..I've almost been painting for a whole year..Thank-you for starting me on this journey...
Happy thanksgiving Shana. Love the snowflake ❤ I bought a Lamy pen a few months ago and love it! I bought the converter and Platinum black ink as that is waterproof! And I agree it’s so nice to write with but also Lovely to sketch with too.
Thanks for the lovely tutorial. It helped get me out of a funk today. On another note- I noticed you kept the cardboard ring on your Lamy. It is typically removed once you pierce the cartridge (or fill the converter with ink). It acts as a safety so the cartridge doesn’t inadvertently get pierced during transport. I was confused when I got my first Lamy. If you like it- you do you. ☺️
Haha. Oops. When I switched out the black cartridge for the boy I never popped off the ring. The pen worked fine and I didn’t even think about it. Thanks for the heads up. 🤪

I’ll have to look into the converter and platinum ink. Thanks for the tip!
@ if you were in Australia I’d happily share my ink with you. I don’t think I’ll ever use the whole bottle!!
@ oh I forgot it’s called platinum Carbon ink.
