Was it too much for your panelist to admit that it was a rebranded Al-Queda, supported and armed historically by the United States, in co-ordination with Turkey and Israel that led to the fall of the Assad regime. @lilidezman624 what kind of brutal regime is he talking about? The kind that imprisoned and tortured hundreds of thousands of it's citizens. A massive grave containing more than 100,000 bodies has been found - and it's just one of many. You don't need to be a fan of the opposition to admit these truths.
Stop slandering Bashar al Assad and his family! He is a great man, which cannot be said about almost all the rest of the Arab leaders, who are not precisely democratic! His father was also a hero who opposed US/EU colonialism, and that is why he and his son were targetted for regime change!
Assad was a demonic dictator whose power was handed to him by his dictator daddy. He was not freely chosen to lead by his people. He ruled as an autocrat. People wouldn't even speak his name for fear that his spies would hear them & arrest them. But being arrested was the least of it. There were no trials, not judicial reviews, Syrians were just dragged off to dungeons by Assad's police & tortured, often until death. Earlier this week the press reported that a mass grave was discovered outside of Damascus containing the bodies of at least 100,000 people killed by the Assad government. As the rebels approached Damascus a week ago, Assad ran to Moscow to hide under Putin's skirts. One dictator protecting another. But the international tribunals are beginning now to examine those 100,000 bodies & collect the evidence that will see Assad convicted for mass murder.
Is the host from Hama? For 14 years of the Alkaeda terrorist Jolany, Isis Alnusra killed the Christians Yesidies, Shiats , Alawates even sunnies, is Lybia better now, no.
And they present the truth about this tragedy engineered by the West - and all because Assad rejected the Qatari pipeline proposal - Its all about the greed of predatory capitalism - all this "human rights abuse" was a result of the terrorists groups working for the USA to decimate the country, and to plunge it into chaos - well now Assad has been replaced by a terrorist the Syrians are about to find out exactly what life will be like under a brutal regime - the narrative being presented by Landis here is utterly specious and will only further propagandise those who have already been brainwashed by a powerful media complex - and Landis is their servant. He has probably never set foot in Syria - Vanessa Beeley has been living there for the last 20 years and has interviewed many people and filed numerous reports. And now with all these extremist groups running wild, massacring the Syrians who supported Assad, looting their houses and releasing all the terrorists from prison, she has had to leave the country she so loved. So if any of you believe any of these disgusting lies that Landis is spewing here, then more fool you.

This person should be put in dialogue with the folks at the Grayzone, Scott Ritter, or others who are very critical of US nefarious intervention in Syria and the role of Israel in all this, and how the US sanctions were probably the main factor in frustrating an internal development in Syria favorable to most Syrians.
No. You should just listen to Syrians, or people with actual knowledge and expertise on Syria, which he certainly has more than grayzone or scott ritter.
Trying to understand how cruel Assad was. Was he like Abu Graib cruel, Bagram cruel, CIA black sites cruel, Saudi Arabia cruel, Quatari cruel, or black site Guatanamo cruel??
Hitler emulate level , isis level,.....

So who or what organized the rebels or revolutionaries in Hama and to which purpose? Muslim Brotherhood is an Egyptian movement, how did it take hold in Hama? This was after 1979 and the revolution in Iran, so which forces were being unleashed by whom, who financed, supported, armed, politically encouraged and aided the so-called "rebels" which, by the way, have been instrumentalized time and again by foreign powers to destabilze countries. Why is this not discussed?
Do you support Hteam in Gaza?
Same Bangladeshi shakh Hasina . Ex prime Minister shakh Hasina made same tourture cell. Shakh Hashina 2024 july killed 2 thousand people n injured 22 thousand students injured. Students don't have legs n eyes n hand . Very painful moments
Very painful from 2,000. Did you care about the 50,000 in Gaza ?
Hi first comment ❤❤❤❤
There were very good restaurants always even before 90-s but you were not aware of it. Many things you say are not true.
Ok Asad is no more what you have now
So this guy is basically saying Assad is the devil and fundamentalists are a better alternative?
When he says Alawite he means Alawite Christians which compose 10% of the population
Disappointed to see this sort of content from MEE. This is a catastrophe for the Palestinian cause. Are you guys enjoying Israel taking Syrian territory?
Its not a matter of joy, its something that no one has control over.
Another Russian/Iranian bot.
Syrian freedom is freedom of Palestine.
@@andyk9113 Yes, HTS made it clear they're on the side of ISreal.
@@andyk9113Saying that Assad ruled brutally for 54 years is taking a clear side in that illegal invasion by the US empire.
This channel should be speaking out against the terrorists who are now in charge there instead of trying to "both sides" the issue.

The worst 1:33:53 of my time. Nothing objective about a one sided and subjective view from a supposed academic and Middle East expert. No mention of US embargo and theft of Syrian oil and US Military basis by the United States causing hardship like the Cuban embargo. No mention of Turkey's occupation of Syria. Extremely shallow and boring regurgitation a personal experience of Syria. Makes reference to the fall of the Assad regime as if the opposition suddenly came to life out of nothing. No objective analysis what led to or who planned the toppling of the Syrian government. Was your panelist too embarrassed to acknowledge that his western propagandist liberal view will be snuffed out? Was it too much for your panelist to admit that it was a rebranded Al-Queda, supported and armed historically by the United States, in co-ordination with Turkey and Israel that led to the fall of the Assad regime. Assad was bad but extremist fundamentals 'rebels' in Syria with ISIS and Al-Queda principals intact, despite their re-naming, and who confidently say, under the behest of their US funders, that they, 'love Israel' despite the genocide of the Indigenous Palestinians, will be tenfold worse. A sad indictment of what you and your panelist profess to be historically accurate but which in actual fact amounts to nothing short of a warped propagandistic view in defence of western Hegemony to defend the theft of Syrian oil as an imperialist US power.
This the Pro-HeadChopper-Version of Syrian history? 🤔
Thank you I am American Syrian here for 45 years finally it is over.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
So did you live in Syria or America in the last 14 years? I hope you're happy with the Israeli invasion.
Are you happy because Syria is over as a sovereign country? Now is more occupied than before and ruled by foreign powers. Congratulations
Certainly over for Syrian Christians.

Nah bro, I support Free Palestine but at the same time against Assad's brutal regime eventhough he is against Israel.
Me too...
@@Geraltofrivia12gdhdbruwj Too bad you don't know that the Assad government was the only Arab government that supported the liberation of PS. And what kind of brut@l regime are you talking about?????? Anyway, as someone already mentioned, propaganda especially from 2011 onwards.
@@teaandcakeordeath A grave containing 100,000 bodies? How gullible are you? Did Assad also have a base on the Moon?
By the way, don't forget the name of the journo😮

How can you talk about alleged brutal regime in Syria and ignore the brutality taking place in Gaza by Israel. Shame.
You have no credibility.
But the international tribunals are beginning now to examine those 100,000 bodies & collect the evidence that will see Assad convicted for mass murder.
did you even watch the video?
You are not aware that Assad ethnically cleansed the 500,000 Palestinians in Syria over the past 10 years just as 1srael has done to Gaza now.
@@OwenLavineNo need to watch the propaganda. Did you see HTS (formerly Al Nusra) behead people? Hmmm....

Landis has failed to understand and make sense of Syrian reality, his publications are worthless!

Why don’t you talk about WAKO massacre in Texas during Clinton ruling killing all by gas.
Is the host from Hama? For 14 years of the Alkaeda terrorist Jolany, Isis Alnusra killed the Christians Yesidies, Shiats , Alawates even sunnies, is Lybia better now, no.
Why doesn’t Middle East Eye talk about all those in jail in the Dictatorship of Qatar.
I wish all Syrians and Iraqis watch this show, so you face reality

Richard Black and Vanessa Beeley on The Reality in Syria
