An over 90 year old Ukrainian woman told a reporter a few month ago that she was better treated by the german soldiers in WW2 then by the Russians in 2024. This tells you a lot about what people in the occupied regions are going through. Just out of moral principles we must not accept any negociations where Russia is able to keep territory. This is my humble opinion. Regards from over the english channel.

Good morning, everyone. I want to point out that we spend 3-5 billion $$ every year in aid to Israel and we spent over 7 trillion $$$ in Iraq and Afghanistan. In 2020, the US sent $11.6 billion in military aid to 157 different countries, according to United States Agency for International Development and State Department data.[1] The contributions amounted to less than 2% of the $683 billion spent that year on national defense. WE do this because it keeps us safe!

But in this hybrid WW3, there are ongoing chemical & cyber attacks, propaganda spread through social media & disinformation campaigns in NATO countries, provocative flights over Sweden, border conflicts in Poland etc. NATO is at war, even if they don't recognize this fully. Ukraine, although not a NATO member (yet), is being directly attacked, and everyone knows Putin won't stop there. Ukraine in the middle of Europe, is defending not only its own borders and democracy, but the whole Alliance too. Britain did not ask NATO to help, although they did receive support from France & US. And Falklands is not in the middle of Europe...

The crazy thing is that air defence alone can't really stop everything as it would cost far to much, so ukraine really need to be able to hit the airfields where these planes are taking off from. Even having f16 to help shoot down missiles would help but again the cost of all those missiles would overtime be far to exspensive. So what are ukraine to do when they are running low on pac3 missiles as they do cost a hell of alot per missile. It definetly seems like nato or maybe just the US seem to want ukraine to stay in the fight but not actually win the war. Otherwise they would allow ukraine to hit everything and send all the equipment needed to win the war outright. It;'s not escalation i think is the problem it's if russia lose putin will go and they are afraid of who might take over.

Harris won't beat trump. I don't want to see trump in the white house but I also don't rate Harris (opinion from a non american). But one thing that stands whether it is in the US or anywhere really, you can't campaign just on social issues. Harris is big on social points, abortion, first woman in the white house etc. This isn't enough. Hate to say it, but she's already on the back foot by being a woman. Yes i just said it because conservative thoughts and religion is big in the US and sexism does sometimes run parallel to those ideals. So she needs to come out with a flawless economic policy and strong immigration policies to hit more of that centralist who probably don't like trump but are unlikely to vote on a woman who campaigns on leftist policies. Target those Nikki Haley voters and the pro woman in the white house and the left. It would be Harris's only shot. And I do not think she can do that. She is too far to the left.

You call Russia Ukraine and Ukraine Russia every now and then but still you are able to reason very well when reporting so does it really matter if someone mixes. Everyone says wrong things now and then, like I have even called my exes according to the ex before them so it proves nothing else than no one is perfect and women need to be more forgiving.
I do agree that no one above 70 should be allowed to become president so that the old new generations get a chance to "steer" the country. Maybe even a age limit of 60 for the candidates would be resonable, still a 70 year old would be better than a 30 year old because there is also too young for the position. So maybe 40-60 or 35-65 but not outside 30-70.
Still 78 and 81 is waay to old... They should not be arguing about the white house and intead sit at a retirement home slapping nurses comparing golf scores.

Who has Biden's policies or better, Jonathan? Who is unbuyable? Those are the only 2 questions you should be asking.
Biden is unbuyable because he is at the end of his career. He is safe because GOP can't get rid of Trump. That is why the media are so desperately trying to get rid of him through the age attack. NATO leaders had no problem at all with him. Finland, NZ: sharp and onto it.

and in Biden's victory speech in 2020 he confused the names of his wife and his sister. Mixing up names is nothing new for Joe. All people misspeak. We talk and think ahead or laterally at the same time. We insert words from our train of thought for the words we mean to say.
Ya know how people are always saying "pun not intended"? We all make these unintended puns because our brains are thinking around the subject on which we are speaking and pull phrases and idioms from the same subject as they are the most accessible.
Interchange Z with P? They are mutually related as opposites. Harris and Trump, adjacent and opposite. Sister and wife, two most important women of his generation in his personal life.
Trump's made the same idiotic mix-ups. Nicki Haley for Pelosi, two hated females that challenge him. Obama for Biden, they're synonymous. "Crooked Hillary" "Crooked Joe", Joe and Hilary challenge him in the same way. Can anyone say they've never said the opposite name to what they intended intended. We all do it, and we will do in more as we age.
Let's focus on Trump's ties to Epstein, his inspecting teenage girls in their dressing room at his beauty pageant, his long-standing friendship with G. Maxwell and her finding potential girlfriends for him, the civil rape charges against him that have been dropped because the alleged victims ran out of money to keep up their lawsuits; his horrible business record of bankruptcy, how bankruptcy is his business model; The Apprentice is a scripted "reality" TV show; he's not a mogul, he's an entertainer; his ties to 2025 and the "freedom to do what we ought to do" (why are so many contributors and authors from his administration? why are all the supporting organizations at the end of Koch tentacles?), his ties to authoritarians, his history of racism (Central Park 5), how threatening retribution and censorship is a cowards way to deal with opposing opinion; I'd go into Russia-Russia-Russia, but don't believe me, read the Mueller report or a synopsis of it. And if you think it's all a lie, then read the Durham report which investigated the Mueller report (and found one person to indict and that person was found not guilty). Let's dig deep on Paul Manafort. Lets dig deep on Deutsch Bank, Alpha Bank, and Russian money. Lets dig deep on Wilbur Ross, Cyprus and oligarch money. Lets dig deep on Trump's oligarch pals with whom he makes cash real-estate deals. Lets dig deep on Trump and his love of the Saudis because "They pay in cash." if you want to talk about Hunter and Ukraine you need to dig into Kushner and the Saudis, Ivanka and China. You want to talk about the mess of the Afghanistan withdrawal? Lets start with the deal Trump made with the Taliban, not the Afghan government, but the Taliban. Hello? Look at the points of the deal and tell me that it didn't make the Taliban the de facto government of Afghanistan (btw, the equipment "left behind" had been given to the Afghans. It's cheaper to leave old equipment where it's been deployed than to bring it back. American names given to the Taliban? It was part of Trump's deal to have the Taliban protect Americans in exchange for us to protect the Taliban from ISIS. Don't believe me. Dig deep. It's all there in open source.
    Rant out.

As an independent from Oklahoma, I don't get the hubbub over Kamala Harris by the democrats. The only foreign policy experience she has is from this administration, vs Joe Biden with decades...who appeared much more qualified last night than anyone really, on this subject of geopolitics here. Also, Kamala didn't even make the final grouping of democratic nominees in 2020. So, what makes them think she'll not only handle insults from the wanna-be autocrat Drumpf, but also handle such a thing as global geopolitics with other male autocrats (who probably don't like women and women of color in positions of power, specifically). Remember Putin's dislike of Hillary?...severe dislike- even more than he hates Biden. Anyway, Kamala dropped out of the race in December, 2019 and didn't even make it to March like Amy Klobachar (sp?) or even Bernie Sanders. I don't think a couple of Kamala polls done in the heat of the moment match the whole of 'Merica as judged by the number of people I saw watching it online last night (even on Fox YT channels like 250K watching total). There's a reason Kamala didn't make the final nomination grouping with democrats in 2020, so I ain't buyin' these recent polls. I don't think I'm the only independent that feels this way, let alone democrat. Just my take tho.
I'd also think about that Kamala choice, because as an Oklahoman, I think people will judge her as a Hillary/Obama mashup in distaste. I'm not saying this or any of the autocrat stuff is right, but just the word I'm hearing around this messed up state since Biden's recent troubles...that's a super red project 2025 in the works already btw (google it)...If Kamala were to win it, it's gonna have to be in swing states and a few red states, and I think she'll actually lose ground in the red states over Biden, based upon the people I speak with around here who are majority republican who only want men (not saying their opinions are sound)....and their wives agree with that too....To be fair, the swing states are probably an open question still.
Ridin with Biden for a few more weeks may be the best option imo, based upon the meat of his speech last night and the viewership online I saw watching and interested.. especially on the Fox side. Their viewership consistently went up during his speech as I was watching. The black vote is firmly in Biden's camp through all of this Biden trouble/Kamala talk too...Humm...As far as Biden's own Congress members, a dozen and a half congress people over 200+ total in congress is not worrisome too much... yet. I think there's still time to get things together on nominee if he falters in the near term, and by the democratic convention. Just sayin...even a lot of polls have all three of them (Biden/Drumpf or Harris/Drumpf) within the margins of error on the majority of polls I've seen and the two I've seen involving Kamala- post debate. People also remember how the polls were wrong with Drumpf in 2016..by an even wider margin. IOW, a tossup either way you look at it really- whoever runs. Biden making up ground in swing states after the debate is further caution to just hand the keys to Kamala, as well as those foul discriminations on her that I think, unfortunately, exist still in many voters. Don't get me wrong...I'm voting for whoever faces Drumpf, as I'm literally living project 2025...in 2024 Oklahoma. NOT good...

It's too late to replace Biden . So Biden it is . I'd think if Adam Kinzinger would flip to a Democrat and have either Jamie Raskin or Eric Swalwell on the ticket would be the best choices to win . But that should have done 1- 2yrs ago .

I'm sure Bernie and Klobuchar were among that other 70% but the point is that Kamala didn't even get a majority of those asked to bring her name up on who to replace Biden with... And again...the black vote seems to be firmly and ONLY on Joe to win. That has to say something post-debate.

BUT Do you think independents and never trumpers will vote for him???!!! Nope !! The US will not for America's 1st gay president and America's 1st family as a gay married couple with children??!! .
