I wand to use this tool for athletic training instead of just finger strength... I want to use it with a cable resistance mashine (belt squat) and measure Force time chart. Max RFD and peak load.. IS this the right tool?

It could work, I don't have experience with this type of training. But, you might also check out the Vitruve encoder. It might be better suited for you.

If you wanted to isolate your finger flexors as accurately as possible for this test, why wouldn’t you fix your implement to the ground and curl your fingers upward with knees and elbows locked out? This would eliminate even more interference from other muscles and you wouldn’t have to worry about lifting yourself off the ground.

Dunno, the Tindeq doesn't calculate it. I'd have to export the data to a spreadsheet to see. Typically it's pretty high though because I do more bouldering than sport climbing.
