Irish response "well they're shut now, so cheer up". 🇮🇪🇮🇪
???
Graham said that.
@@sweetmissypetuniawilson9206
Graham’s Irish
@@maryrosekent8223 my bad!
Best line
@@janekihm5119 Nailed it eh?! 😂😂😂
Literally a clip of Nigella Lawson NOT passionately defending anchovies.
"microwavey"
@@Amr_D lol I started using that 🤣🤣🤣
"throaty saltiness" she just can't help herself
I know 😂😂😂
Nigella is ridiculously camp and posh and over the top. I love her.
When you realize she's 60...and still looks amazing.
Money helps hahaha
But she does sound 80 😅
And she’s done a lot of booze and coke if the tabloids are to be believed
@@MoonChildLife Yeah, what has happened to her voice? Is she a heavy smoker? Maybe she just had a cold the day this show was filmed.
Face lift
The bacon of the sea.. how nicely put.
I like Hugh but Nigella is just another league, tbh. Not only her beauty, she’s real character 💜
"Well they're shut now, so cheer up!" LMFAO I cannot with the savagenesssss
🤣😆😂
She just said ‘proselytising’ on mainstream TV and we have no choice but to Stan.
Why? Is that a fancy word in English?
@@Kareragirl do you use it much?
It could be a first
@@howardmckeown7187 No, but English is not my mother tongue. German is. And the German equivalent is frequently used, hence my confusion about the noteworthiness of the word.
@@Kareragirl only kidding
Hugh always has a fascinating story every time he's on this show
wow, graham is so quick on his feet!! he's the best
"Throaty saltiness" - keep going Nigella, I'm almost there.
😂😂😂
Lol 😂 🤣🤣🤣🤣
😄🤣....u could tell what they were all thinking, and Romesh defo said something that was edited
Hillary?
Almost where? "Throaty saltiness" sounds like the best euphemism for vomit!
I love that Hugh Grant is furious about everything. Same here, Hugh. Same here😜
Nigella is just stunning!
Ha! EXCELLENT ending line from Graham! ;'D
I thought nigella had the last line!!
"I think fish should be banned." Says Hugh Grant. Brilliant.
I read brilliant in his voice😂😂😂
Bet he never made a woman smile, in fact I think he has to pay for a woman to moan.
I love how grumpy Hugh Grant is! 😂😂
I can relate! 😂😂😂
God I love this woman.
I adore anchovies. I love them on a good piece of bread, pizza, in a good mix of pasta. Just yum! And those who eat Thai, Laos, Cambodian food etc..fish sauce in the dishes are made with anchovies.
Any half decent home cook has a bottle of fish sauce in their cupboard.
she can't help talking "That Way" can she? 🤣
My god that woman is beautiful, she's 60 and she still looks like she's in her 30's, mad
Nigella saying she loves throaty saltiness awoke something in me
nast
Lol
I could give Nigella some throaty saltiness...
I love anchovies! On pizza, on pasta... heaven. It adds umami to a lot of dishes. A pasta puttanesca without anchovies isn't a puttanesca. It changes the taste completely.
I agree!
"It has such DEEEEEP and intense saltiness...''
Passionately indeed haha
I hate people who think if they don’t like a food NOBODY should eat it. Eat what you like and leave us alone!
But the smell of fish is everywhere yuck
@@Србомбоница86 fresh fish doesn't smell at all. Eat sushi has no smell.
Anchovies, like Marmite, and Bonito Flakes are IMHO best used as ingredients to add umami to your dishes. They are indispensable in this regard....
That's the meecroowavyyy lady!!
how about a new movie - 51 shades of anchovies and marmite - starring Hugh Grant and Nigella Lawson?
😂
I bet Hugh has had Worcestershire sauce ....anchovies are an ingredient :)
Not always, Frenchs Worcestershire sauce is vegan and it`s not the only one, you wouldn`t notice the difference in the flavor and it`s probably cheaper to make without the fish
@@richardkeating3575 no, actually French's sauce is not vegan www.mccormick.com/frenchs/products/worcestershire-sauce/classic-worcestershire-sauce
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😄😅
@@richardkeating3575 So it turns out you're not actually vegan!!
Ok but why is no-one talking about Romesh's shave?!
I'm surprised that I think it suits him better than the beard
cause no-one is interested
@@howardmckeown7187 If you’d watched the full episode you’d find people are. They spent a full 5 minutes talking about it. So clearly people are interested!
@@arunsreenivasan2074 sad
@@howardmckeown7187 In a way I guess it actually is. But I'd put it down to the fact that in all his time as a celebrity he has never shaved
I love his show he is such a gymnast amidsts such different personalities.
I only speak like Nigella when I'm drunk
I only like Nigella when I’m drunk, so to speak.
Omg me too! Sometimes I turn into Freddie Mercury when drunk... Now that's another story 😉😂
Meet tooo hilarious 😆

So does nigella
Nigella what a beauty
She is beautiful.
Very.♡
@@psychenellie yes.
I love Graham Norton! He’s perfect in every way!
I don't like Nigella's cooking and I'd never usually defend her but in this case she is 100 percent correct and has-been Hugh is wrong
I always love Nigella. I love her even more 😌
Nobody wants to sit and eat a plate of them, but they're little flavour bombs, very useful for all sorts of cooking
Anchovie and mushroom pizza, cant be beat.
Italian sausage and mushroom
She looked like she wanted to shove Hugh in the meecro-wahvee and leave him there till he popped😩😂😂😂😂
Love Anchoivies..yes the Bacon of the Sea..
I freakin love anchovies! My mum would fry it to be eaten with nasi lemak and I would just go into the kitchen a few times stealing some ☺
Anchovies that goes with nasi lemak is a different kind than the one they're discussing here. The anchovies discussed here is not commonly found in Malaysia, same as our ikan bilis is not commonly found there, she probably doesnt know how to use our ikan bilis in her meals
@@shakhan5589 aaaaah..thank you for the info!
I didn't know Hugh Grant was so impolite. Fresh fish, like fresh meat, doesn't smell properly. Nigella is absolutely right: anchovies are a delicacy!
Hugh Grant actually has a great sense of humor but I should imagine he is a nightmare to live with.
nigella is just mesmerising
What a great guest combo ?! Love them all - for different reasons 👍🏼🥰
0:08 That look and sound she directs to Hugh. Not laughing with him, but more like "You dirty POS."
Anchovies and sardines are amazing if you try them North African style. I don't know how to describe the recipe to you but they are spicey and delicious.
Good one Graham!! I honestly laughed genuinely!! Gramby old Grant!!
Fried crispy anchovies is the best! Yums with nasi lemak and sambal
He has anchovies in his bloody mary's
Anchovies, fish sauce, etc. add umami just like Marmite.
Anchovies and sardines have such an undeserved bad reputation, it's ridiculous
Absolutely agree with you. In fact, PUTTANESCA with good anchovies (and olives) is the best pasta dish on the world.
Bobby Flay gets the credit for bacon of the sea. And this is 2 ridiculously charming people. 3 including Graham of course! ❤🥓👏
You know, I always felt like I wouldn't get along with Hugh Grant, and this just proves I couldn't eat with him. Nigella is more my style....
She should be defending her use of “MEEKRO WHAVAE”
Fact: Puttanesca is the number one best sauce for pasta.
I second this!
“Well they’re shut now so shut up “ ... 🤦🏼♂️😂😂😂... SAVAGE!!!
***So cheer up
_cheer up_ :)
First thing I’m disagreeing with Hugh on 😳
Too many people have been traumatized by anchovies on pizza, I think, back when that was a thing. (Does anyone put anchovies on pizza anymore?) Those anchovies were always dry, overly salty things that *did* taste "fishy" in an unpleasant, strident way. But good anchovies, cooked properly, give an incredible depth of flavor to whatever they're in - beef stew in particular, is improved immeasurably by a few chopped-up anchovies cooked with the stew's base ingredients. You don't necessarily taste the anchovies, but you would note their absence. And one of Nigella's pasta sauce recipes is essentially anchovies and cream with garlic and some herbs, and it's divine.
You just completely repeated what Nigella said about how anchovies add depth to a dish. Excellent mansplaining! And yes, people still put anchovies on pizza. It's not a "thing."
Beautiful
Pasta with romanesco is not the same without anchovies. 👌🏻
So is a pasta puttanesca. Take the anchovies and it doesn't taste like puttanesca should.
Damn. I haven't eaten anchovies in years and now I'm craving them...
Still not over “meecrowaavey”
😂"I don't believe it!"
Te amo
Caesar's salad wouldn't be as delicious without the anchovies.
Spot on. I love anchovies
Hugh's grumpiness is more Mark Darcy than Daniel Cleaver. What a twist.
He used to be charmingly self-deprecating. Now he's well on his way to being a cranky old man.
I recall that Jennifer Paterson of Two Fat Ladies' fame used anchovies so extensively that Clarissa Dixon Wright, her colleague once commented that she was surprised not to see anchovies in her Coffee Cake recipe.
That awkward moment when you're born in the city that invented fish and chips.
Hugh grant is amazing 🤣
I love them
I'm Indonesian and I Loovvvvveeeeeee Anchovies!
Wow, she's 60 years old, but she's alright.
Alright?! Think you watched it on 240 mate. She is unreal
60?? What?! no way
Voted as one of the 50 most beautiful women who ever lived
They are shut now, so cheer up. 😂
Fully agree, fish smells bad and has a horrible texture. I mean Oysters are like eating snot, some other fish is like eating jelly. I've tried and I can't stand it. About the only "fish" I can stomach is tempura prawns, deepfried to get rid of the fishy taste so you just get a bunch of other flavours. And no, fish and chips isn't the same and no it doesn't hide the fishy flavour, again, I've tried.
I gave it a fair try and it has disappointed me at every turn
I'm not a fish fan either. But if Nigella cooked it for me, I would eat it all up and ask for more.
I despise fish ,I genuinely do
Goddess
Quick Nigella phone a friend, call in the big gun that is Maangchi! She'll convert everybody on the stage to anchovies within 15 minutes.
Nigella looks beautiful 🌹
Nigella is 2 days younger than me. Gorgeous woman. I wish she'd stop jabbering and marry me already lol. 🥰
I can't get on with Romesh without his lustrous beard.
Aaah that's what it is! I did think he looked strange...
"Throaty saltiness" 😝😝😝
Haha!
Nigella and Hugh, hello, couple alert.
It would be like anchovies and Marmite..
They're very umami
No Ceasar salad is complete without it!!
Hugh Grant is a grump auld bugga 😆
Has Romesh lost weight or he just shaved his beard?
Well, one results in the other😉
Hes vegan hes vegan
Both, and now he's dishy.
@@MsShellectable he does look great
I wish my girl said she loves "throaty saltiness"...
That would be a keeper 😂
Ah man I'm stealing that line. Nice one
Oh she does, she tells me that regularly
That is such a quintessentially Nigella description. Like "languorous nutmeggy fumes" or "jewel-toned acridness". (I made that last one up, but you can picture her saying it, no?)
I completely agree, I don’t like fish either. It tastes and smells like fish and people always tell me that it shouldn’t, but then what’s the point? But to each their own I guess
Well Hugh became a grumpy old man...
Between anchovies and hugh, I'll pick anchovies. Thank you.
Hugh sounds more salty!!
Is it weird that I am not opposed at all to the proposed anchovy x marmite combo??
Fried dried anchovies are excellent as a snack.
Anchovies lover, here.
Fantastic dais. ✌🏾🤟🏾
I agree with Hugh Grant here.
Nigella. Thats all.
