So glad for Tatiana to come back from that horrible fall in Pittsburgh when her partner dropped her head first into the ice and then become an Olympic champion. That's an amazing comeback and that's a champion. The only thing wrong with their performance was the commentary of Sandra Bezic. Ugh. Where the hell was Peggy Fleming? Peggy was doing the color commentary when Tatiana hit the ice in Pittsburgh.
Zhang and Zhang did not have the artistry and should have had huge deductions for that huge break. People must remember it was not an accident; they the Zhang's fell because of a technical mistake - not a problem with the ice, or a flash from a camera. This team had a certain refinement. They did a difficult routine that had speed andflow hardly as cautious as Bezic suggests. Good decent quality. Well deserved gold.
I'm not fond of those overhead lifts. You can achieve exquisite dance without them. I do respect this pair's courage in recovery. However I continue to think those extremely dangerous lifts just are not worth the gamble
