It's catchy 🙂🙂 It's SO unbearably 80's but still catchy... And only Mantas could have done that...I really can't imagine Abbadon or Cronos 😄😄 doing the same thing... I was a huge Venom fan back then and I had always wanted to listen to that album but I got busy, I'm glad I found it here...
@@audiodead7302 cheesy to me was Motley Crue , Poison , Ratt, etc. The Poseurs,! Hardcore Skins used to beat the hell out of them at Lamour in Brooklyn on a weekly basis!
This "cheesy" bullshit needs to stop. Metal is cheesy but pop is not? Don't make me laugh. The most over the top, flamboyant stuff has always been pulled by popstars. And nothing wrong with that, either. "Cheesy" is just another overused word to put down metal and rock music in general. Fuck it. I LOVE cheese.
I love this album. 👍🎶 I express my opinions on the album of Mantas has been suitable for lovers of Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow in days of Joe Lynn Turner and Black Sabbath in days of Tony Martin.
@@ShiftaelV2 The Deadline demos was still classic Venom to me. Mantas was on the demos and there were songs that were not released on Calm: "Let The Dogs Loose" the awesome "Vampyr" song, and the song "Deadline" didn't have all the unnecessary harmonics. But of course Mantas ended up leaving and the two replacements came in and Cronos made Calm halfway watered down. But I do consider the full Deadline demo recordings as a great classic lineup Venom release. The recording is rough, but the songs sounded like Venom.
I would LOVE to buy this, but of course I havent seen it available since I passed it over at a record store back in 88 as it was on Vinyl and I only bought tapes back then. ahh... stupid 14 year old me. :)

I really like this. It is cheesy, but everything in the eighties was. Great melodies.
Not quite everything we had Slayer, Possessed, Bathory, Kreator , Sodom , Death! Etc.
@@mikebogush6803 Even they had a bit of cheese. Gotta love Show No Mercy's album cover.

Este en un discazo brutal 🤘🏻😎
Mantas ex - Venom👊🏻
23:59 - The whole song is great, but that ending with the double bass drum kicks in, it takes it to a whole nother level
Estoy de acuerdo. Es algo usado para "renovar" la repetición de coros.
Sounds like Top Gun soundtrack lol.
That's not bad at all
Sounds pretty good ,some great riffing and Solos
very rare to CD format but it is worth to seaching for
Awesome album!
Venom goes AOR.Absolute brilliant.
Good joke, this is absolutley awful.... that plastic drumming...
No wonder Mantas left Venom and thank Dark Lord he did.
great album pure 80's. just as Fate with Hank Shermann of Mercyful Fate. Legends of First Wave of Black Metal has no boundaries.
@joannita XVI what a bad take
@@Overlorde79 Love both
What a Great album. Never heard from this band

For sure, bro!
stunning!
Cronos and Mantas totally went full blown commercial rock on their solo efforts.
Venom's Calm Before the Storm was, for them, pretty darn commercial but still kicked ass!

I have this on vinyl. Bought it through Kerrang on JEM records!
A great album!
bought it on vinyl today :)
Amazing heavy !!
I was expecting something heavier like Cronos' solo album, but this is great, too. I love thrash, and I also love AOR.
SALUDOS DESDE LIMA PERÚ
Who´s the singer? There are some big pipes there. It reminds me the best moments of Tony Mills with a bit of the more dramatic phrasing of Tony Martin
His name was Pete Harrison, but I don't think he did anything else other than this.
Shame! He was very good, Fits perfectly the style. Thanks for the info
Sounds like The Pretty Maids.
damn I was thinkin' the same man he definitely have a tony martin feelin'
Mostly close to the singers of Shok Paris and Quiet Riot i think. Great voice he has!
Hard rock 80 s
I have this on cd , only 500 copies were made on cd.
Poor you...
I can see why
The Neat Records or the newer re-issue on Greece label?

Just been re-issued.
On Sonic Age.
I have this on cd
Mantas - Winds Of Change.
ZOV!!!
El álbum está muy bueno, pero en los temas Hurricane y Desperado creo que le faltó más protagonismo en los solos. 👍🎸

This is Mantas from Venom??? WTF??????
Mantas recorded this album? Is it a joke?
This is pretty good album. Of course, for adult people.
No it's you that you are narrow minded
Mantas? Hah, is it Mantas from Venom? On vocals and guitar?😅
Just guitar.
@@Idontwantahandle6669 then who is on vocals?
@@zuzakrzak4296 can't remember his name but this was the only thing he did if I remember correctly.
