You work harder at this than you need to. I'd have used a gouge (rounded chisel) for most of the inside wood removal, then the inside round finishing plane. But you made a fine and beautiful instrument and I LOVE your choices of music in the video as you made this. Since 1973 when I first saw in person an Alpen Horn, I have always wanted to make one. Now, at 66 years-old, I think I will do that from one of the trees on my farm. A black walnut tree, to see how the sounds come out from a hardwood. I will add this to the last of my life 'bucket lists.' Thank you for a very nice video!

Good film. But why do you use panflut music to an alphorn film???
That was my first thought. Although, it is better than the music in the "How it's Made" video of alphorn.
Also ich hätte die Musik ganz weggelassen und lieber mehr erzählt welche Hölzer verwendet werden und soweiter.
Hörner Stimmen sehr gut schöner Film über die Herstellung baut noch viele schöne Hörnchen ;-)

Sehr interessant. Leider ist die Musik viel zu laut und ab 20:44 bis 22:58 und von 23:04 bis ende teilweise Tonausfall. Schade. Wichtige Informationen fehlen.
