I bought this and tried it out but had to return it as it was impossible to get the image in focus across the entire screen...you'd get one corner in focus then the other would be a bit out of focus. This was the case even with directing the beam from the projector at right angles to the flat wall. I wanted to use it for showing webinars are work but text would be annoyingly out of focus on part of the projection.
Not noticeable. A little bit of deshaperning in the corners from the lens but only visible when showing text across the whole display. Not something I'd notice in movies
I haven't tried the other one so I don't think I can give you reliable advice. You know the shortcomings of this one - you can extrapolate from tha. I'm sorry about it
@@notenoughtechI bought the groview and I noticed it can get blurry in distance scenes and fast past, is this better with sharpness are should I just buy the next go pj40?. Also u should do comparisons videos.
Yeah I nearly bought this but then realised the 300" size is bollox and I need to throw over 4m so the screen size would be about 40" which isn't worth a 229 quid projector.
You don't want to throw 300" from 1080p at a short distance. It's a balancing act. Right size at decent distance. Id recommend 3.5m for this projector as it gives almost 90" throw at reasonable distance so you don't stare at pixels.
WiFi 6 uses 5GHz same as 5GHz WiFi 5 devices, so it may have been getting interference, though I would have expected it not to pixellate...... Sounds like the streaming / casting function is not really up to scratch
The band support is different so it shouldn't interfere. Plus this is 1080p stream let's not be crazy. I have 1.7MB/s WiFi (yes 1700Mbps) so it's not like I'm lacking in bandwidth for local transfers
If you are going to use the fire stick, focus on brightness and native 1080p. I haven't reviewed many projectors so I'm not qualified to give you a good recommendation but from my general understanding of budget projectors aim for the one that offers the least features as you won't end up with subpar quality of picture
This projector is not for you sir. If someone can only afford $200 projector, they will like to have tone of features, picture quality is second. I have a $1000 projector that has beautiful picture, I also have a $200 projector that has tone of features. If my number 1 priority is picture quality, I will not go for the $200 projector. If my only projector is the $200 projector, I would like it to be capable to do everything because I am on a budget. That is why I can't agree with your final words.
The primary function of the projector is to project things. So if picture quality is not to my expectations I instantly care little about extra features that enable that projection. Budget doesn't mean you buy one device that does it all. It means that you sacrifice the premium features to get the basic functions done right.
@@notenoughtech That is exactly why I said this projector is not for you. The Yaber V9 Pro is not a bad projector. If someone like you wants to pursue better picture quality, they will probably have to upgrade to a much more expensive projector. I believe you have better projectors in your possession. If someone can only afford a $200 projector within their budget, the extra features will outweigh the gains of picture improvement by sacrificing those features.
Hoping you can answer this question. I've plugged a HDMI lead into port 1 of the Yaber V9 Projector and the other end into my LG Surround Sound Blu-ray Player. But I don't get any sound out of my surround sound. Picture is fine. What am I doing wrong?
You will see the projection but it's not going to be enjoyable. Washed out colours and stuff. If classroom has any windows fixtures, that's another story
Being in the camp when you place the projector against the wall (l shaped bracket mounted to a wall) i find it tiresome when a lot of projectors come with every port placed on the back - you can't even use the projector then instead of crying like a little girl you can't hide the ports. Just get an L shaped adapter and be done with it. You have the money to mount it in the middle of a room you have the money and time to figure out an L shaped bracket.
If the selling price is 350, put it in the 350 price range. Many people will buy this projector and forget to click the discount button. A win for the company. That's sounds like a scam for me. This company is misusing you. Skip this device and the company alltogether. Thanks for making us aware of the actual price!
If they can make a £220 sale without a loss... Makes no sense to compete with stuff almost twice as expensive for customers. I don't think they aim to scam, with Chinese promotion teams it's all about massive discounts and codes and marketing engagement. I've been to china enough to see how this is a "norm" . It's weird here but 🤷 as I said I'm not running marketing so I just share what I think. At 220 it's a decent choice (as long as you are aware of shortcomings) at 350 I know better ones hence I made the whole chapter about pricing.
Your video is longer than it needs to be. You should’ve started with how it performs first. You went over appearance and functionality first. Sorry bro your video is a waste of time
I've been trying to update this projector but it doesn't seem to do it over WiFi it says it's installing the update it shows a ring installing it but then when you go back to online update it shows the same update . Usually when there are no updates it says no new updates..... any ideas
Thanks for your opinion. Your review helped me with choosing.
I'm glad you found it helpful
Agree on cutting out speakers, and apps, everyone is going to hook it up to a streaming device and soundbar or other audio
I just paid 160 on Amazon on sale. Worth it

I'm surprised, I had very good luck with Yaber V10 keystone correction
Any rainbow effect?

Thanks for the review Mat.
Thanks for watching! :)
Hey, does the projector have horizontal keystone correction as well?
I think your title has a typo.
fixed it
Worth it for £60 with warranty when using an external device for content?
Yes for that price - no brainer
Thanks, sound like a good honest review. Think I will spend a little more. Any ideas? 🙂
I just bought this and i need to ask, why is everything so pixelated for me?? I use a hdmi cable so i dont know if that's the reason
Im confused some people seem to have a ceiling mount for this projector.....whats the deal with that?
Undo the leg
@@notenoughtech no it's ok I got mine today and it has a ceiling mount and a leg mount
Can I make the scream smaller?
Yes there is a zoom option
@@notenoughtech is that on the remote?
Is it good for camping projection without wifi via movie on phone or on a usb key ?
It's not bright enough until it get pitch black. I'd go with something else. I may have one better suited. Releasing next week
Wheres the brightness settings?
I don't believe you have brightness settings. Not on the firmware I reviewed
which is better Yaber V9 pro or Yaber Ace K1 ?

Great review
can this projector be used with apple tv?
Over HDMI for sure. Miracast is an Android/Windows protocol
Not powered by android?
I can't adjust the brightness and any other video features. I'm using hdmi with ps4. How do I get to these features please?
Projector has picture adjustment menu in which you can change the settings. That's the only picture assignments possible

Hi, so it's normal for me to have lag with 5ghz WiFi on my phone and modem While mirroring ?
Small delay will be present. Miracast isn't known for low latency streaming

I had the delay of about 500ms or less
