- Grace Nyokabi remembers her years in marriage with a lot of pain. She was faced with frequent beatings from the very man who was supposed to love and protect her: her husband. One such senseless beating led to severe injuries on her spine, injuries that have confined her to a wheelchair for years. But I have one bigger question, why wasn't the man prosecuted for having beaten her to the point of being confined to a wheelchair? The Protection against Domestic Violence Act doesn't have limitations neither are there time limitations in criminal offences!
