Your video was very helpful! I was struggling reconnecting my drone to the controller and did not think to remove the SD card, thank you for the helpful tips and tricks!
Do you have to have an account first before you bind the drone to the controller or can you do that then put the DJI fly app on your phone and create an account then add the drone to your account?
Hey Rick great video thanks. Do I have to unbind a drone before i rebind to a different controller. From DJI-RC to DJI-N1 (I don't like the screen remote)
Its funny you put this out now. I just got a "Drone Only" Air 2S off ebay, So when it came yesterday I used the RC-N1 controller that I have for my Air 2 and did a Bind of that controller to the New Air 2S. But the Firmware for controller had to be updated before it would Bind to the Air 2S. Once I updated controller firmware I got it Binded, check drone in Fly app and the firmware for the Drone was latest verson. So everything is updated and Air 2S has RID all set up. But great Video!
Thanks for the post and I'm glad that the clip helped. The binding process is simple once you understand how to do it and can be frustrating when you don't. Stay tuned for more content this week. Rick
Can you guys do a video on how to add the apps to the RC pro controller? And also, can you Do a video on how to stream the picture from the RC pro to your phone. Months ago I asked Dji how to do it and they said that that function was not available yet.
I just bought a used mini two. And I need to unbind it from the existing controller and bind it to my smart controller. Any tips ? We enjoy your content
Have problem everytime i flight there notif to log in is annoying when in remote area where no internet signal so coud d only fly 50 m without log in and the keyboard so small. How to resolve thanks
Had the drone Mini 4 uo moving with object avoidance on and it kept crashing into my walls. Then outside on takeoff mode directly after I hit down and stayed up. Help!!
Can you bind both the two types of controllers (w and w/ screen)available for mini 3Pro at the same time and location. Fly it without screen controller but monitor by someone else with the screened controller. Just a question, but sounds like a controller operation fight if you CAN connect both at same time and have both fully functional. I’ll let you test this question out before I take a chance screwing something up. Thanks Rick. Gus wd9gus
Hi Rick, I have tried and tried…mini 2 and mini 3 are both not connected to the RC I can start and fly…no picture.. what can it be I tried your reconnection tips Linking Failed…..help
Thank you for the tip. It's great how you explains everything because I understand well. I received a DJI Mini 3 with the RC-N1 as a gift in Father's Day from my son. I first binding with my mobile phone on the RC-N1 and worked fine, but I wanted to fly it free of the mobile phone. Today I did it exactly like you explained taking out the SanDisk memory. Everything went fine, the sounds, the blinking lights and the movements of the propellers, but nothing happens. The propellers don't move. What more can I do?
Hi Rick I’m new to your channel and also new at flying I accidentally broke the controller for the DJI inspire 1 drone so i bought a used one from eBay and I cannot get the new used controller to bind please help me besides your knowledge I have no one to turn to since now DJI doesn’t even do anything with the inspire 1 anymore just the inspire 2 & 3 so please help me! :)
Will give the “remove the sd card” advice a go, as until now I’ve found it impossible to bind my Mini 3Pro’s RC (screened) controller to my Mavic 3, the latter which came with a RC - N1 controller, I’d prefer to fly both aircraft (at separate times) using just the RC controller.
I’ve got the original Mavic Mini and I want to either sell it or give it away but I don’t see an option to remove it from my DJI account in the DJI Fly app. There is a “Remove Device from Account” option for my DJI Air2S but not for the Mavic Mini. I’m afraid that if I can’t remove it from my account, the new owner will not be able to add it to their own DJI account. What do I need to do?
A little additional information. The Mavic Mini only shows up in the DJI Fly app when the aircraft is connected. When there is not an aircraft connected, only the Air 2S shows up.
Aloha Rick! Thanks for the video on binding the drone to the RCN1controller. Now you might consider doing one for binding to the RC or RCpro. It was my experience lately with the Mavic 3, you first had to bind with the RCN1 to initiate any firmware updates, then unbind the RCN1 in order to bind to the RC. Not sure if procedure is for all DJI drones that are compatible with the RC and RCpro. Even the DJi representative was confused on the issue when I eventually called via land line for help. Dennis
It took me 1 and a half hour to bind my Mini 3 pro to the RC-N1 controller....i have the RC controller till then..Why??? Because i didn't firmware update the Rc-N1 first...
Hi Rick, great video and thanks for the hack info. I’m not a new pilot, but I got a question that maybe you can answer. My son crashed his Air2, and I’m going to send him my Air2s till DJI repairs his Air2. Here’s the kicker, my Air2s is bound to my RC Pro controller, but he has an RC N1 to his Air2, and he’ll use the RCN1 to fly the Air2s. Can I unbind the Air2s from my RC Pro, AND keep the Care Refresh plan active AFTER my son binds the Air 2S to his RCN1 controller? Thanks in advance…
Fly your drone without a phone. I guess this is possible, I personally always use the 'take off' button on the phone to start flying, but I guess just press up would work too, never even tried :D
Potato / Potato, we're tripping over nomenclature. Essentially the process in the video describes both and essentially establishes a relationship between the drone and controller that survives a reboot. If we want to get really technical, linking would need to be done every time you power up the drone where binding is a little more permanent. With less expensive drones you have to "link" them every time you want to fly, with these DJI drones, you "bind" the drone and controller and this connection is remembered by the drone so you only have to do it once. I hope that helps and thanks for the post.
@@Dronevalley Based on my experince with my Avata I could not link it to the Integra goggles because the drone was linked to the Goggles 2. I had to wait till I got it back from DJI to "unbind" the Goggles 2 and THEN bind it to the Integra. The process for linking is very different than binding and, according to DJI, binding attaches the drone, goggle or controller to the drone as opposed to simply establishing a connection. Binding is done from the Go Fly all and one has to go into profile, then management, etc. The linking process is done with the long press on the drone until it starts beeping and the lights start flashing. Because of some people using the two terms interchangeably there seems to be a confusion. Perhaps you can clarify this on a video. Just a suggestion. Thank you!
I'm really confused. this clip was a tutorial on how to re-bind your drone if the link ever got broken and simply walks you thorough 2 different ways to do that. A lot of folks found it really helpful.
Little communication.... handshake and they're married again! 😂 Yep ..must be valentine's day. Nice explanation 😁

Hello. Thanks for the video. Is it possible to bind more than one drone to the same RC2?
You're a good laugh,I like you, subscribed,Cumbernauld,Glasgow,Scotland.
This was so helpful. Thanks Rick!
Very helpfully information, thankyou for taking the time to make this video to help people out.

Great explaination…but question..I have a mini 3 but the camera settings are wrong. Can I bind my mini 3with an old RC-N1 of an old mini 2?
Perfect analogy about relationships between them together since it is Valentine's Day Ha....!
Great info Rik, thanks for sharing buddy. 👍👍
Thank you Rick,great video

Awesome video
Awesome the first way worked right away!
How do i bind a new rc2 remote to my dji mini pro 4 replacing the rc 1?

Did you try his option 2 around 5 min? Click button on drone, then click 3 buttons on remote?
My rcn1 bit the dust almost.. its barely hanging on.. i want to pick up an upgrade.. how can unbind the original controller, to bind the new one?
Fantastic Rick.
What is the relation between bind the drone and power system hardware error?
Have problem everytime i flight there notif to log in is annoying when in remote area where no internet signal so coud d only fly 50 m without log in and the keyboard so small. How to resolve thanks
Now that the mini 3 and the mini 2 use the same transmission, so in the future whether possible the mini 2 can also be used di dji RC later

I think that you are confusing linking with binding. What you show on the video is "linking" not "binding".
