Big fan of Muchova. Has a great all-court game, skillful, good athlete, probably could crank up her service a bit, and seems prone to injury but is a chance whenever she plays.
She should have been in this position a couple of years ago but here's hoping she can fulfill all of that potential!

The game of Rybakina is really enthralling. If she maintains her determination in each step of the rally, she will become invicible armada. It will be far harder to vanquish Elena Rybakina within this stage. The fundamental intention of Rybakina is to perpetuate her dominance and mastery in each serve game in order to outclass the formidable adversaries easier. Many congratulations to Rybakina!

Elena turned a Fairy tale into reality when She won Wimbledon at 23 years old last Summer... Furthermore She Is really humble, very talented, young and a beautiful young woman. She should be as popular as Emma Raducanu became when She Won US Open few years ago. Seriously, I support both of them, but for this in addition, I do not understand why Elena has not become a media star Like Emma did... Wimbledon not awarding ranking points in 2022 really messed things up for her rise. She would have easily been in the top 10 last year and would probably have gotten better draws at the US Open if they had given her the points. The way she's been playing since last year makes her a real threat to Iga Świątek. I say this because Iga lost to Aryna Sabalenka in the WTA Finals last year and Aryna + Elena have very similar styles. Also like others have said she's currently registered to be playing for Kazakhstan...not exactly a country known for GDP or funding. I became a huge fan of her after watching her play at Wimbledon last year and my admiration has only continued after her incredible run at the Australian Open at the beginning of the year.
      Fight on, Elena!

      @@rocco... I think you're right.
I see nothing wrong with players looking to make the most of their situation.
A tennis career can be a fragile thing.
Every player likes to think that they will be world number one but there's nothing wrong with making sure that you will be financially comfortable just in case things don't pan out exactly as you might like.
I respect both ladies and wish them both well.
I suspect that Ribakina probably wouldn't enjoy being in the spotlight at the moment. Maybe it will change later, maybe not.

So Happy for Muchova, She played great. She deserves to win titles, I hope she keeps going at it. She was playing against a player in top 3 strength, so that tells how well she played. I could tell, when she has something to lose, she starts hesitating. Her torso snap back becomes dampened and slow. (I will think about my own game thanks to this observation) So it becomes more arm and less whip. I really enjoy her game style, I hope to see more of it.

@@borisb9994 I could go on and on, but a big part of it for me despite the high achiever she already is, she does a really good job of not attracting any attention to herself, good or bad, which seems like it is impossible for most people in the world today to do.
Everything she does is just extremely modest. There are no big gestures on the court, she is not corny in the interviews or have any of the antics that a lot of players start to develop once they become mega tennis stars because they think they have to have a personality. Iga Swiatek is the latest example of an obviously lovable lady, but because she has become a megastar, she is now trying a little bit hard to make like she has a bigger personality than she does with a lot of antics here and there when she can.

Rybakina is a pretty stacked adversary, on the tennis court. Jeez. Plus. She's good at focusing on ONE point, if she needs it, especially on her serve. Such an easy game to watch. I don't think I've seen anyone in tennis, with the natural gifts AND the skill for winning matches. I remember Mandlikova had that ease on the court, maybe even more than Rybakina, but she lost every significant match in her career, basically. Rybakina is AWEsome.

Congrats to Elena! As usual, Elena displayed her mental toughness and emerged victorious. Muchova was playing well also. Most of the top women players are really good and their skills are separated by a few points. One or two lucky points can alter the outcome of a match. Most of the women hit like Serena now. Give them an easy floater and they will try to blast the ball through their opponents.

hats off to muchova for putting on an impressive performance . ... ryba has so much power. I saw the last serve and how ryba won. Muchova (IMO) was guarding the outside side. So that to me as an enthusiast of tennis means that ryba is doing a good job of guarding her serve structure and delivery. So it is harder for her opponent to guess or get a clue as to where she is going to serve. Out wide or straight up. I mean it is a noble effort from the opponent and it shows how towering and elegant Elena can be. Can I be your lover please?? I think you are angelic elena. edit: I keep watching Muchovas certain shots. Some of Muchova's shots are very technical and forgoe the overpowering nature and technique just for the placement and structure of winning the point. Subtle but extremely effective on taking on a hugely elegant , powerful and clean hitting player that has such huge advantage.

@@ayan1612 she was forcing errors, there's a difference than unforced errors. Defense can win just as much as offense. I understand it's more pleasing and easier to reward offensive play, but to say someone is more deserving in a close match like this is just biased. Obviously, there can only be one winner and she'll play the next round; salut to her.

@@ayan1612 Muchova has the type of game that she can play both the defender and aggressor. On numerous occasions, she took on Rybakina's second serve aggressively and punish the serve by teeing off or forcer her way to the net. She has that 90s-type game in that she followed her good shots into the net to finish off the point, she also uses angle, off-pace shots. In a way I think Karolina Muchova is slightly less aggressive than Caroline Garcia but her defensive skill is better than Garcia. Muchova's court movement is certainly near her peak in this match.

Muchova could be like Barty type player. She has the variety and athleticism. If she could develop her slice and use it a bit more to turn the points in her favor, she could stay top 10. Just so hard mentally to pull it all together when you have variety like that, but she has always impressed me with her game. Her injuries unfortunately do sometimes hinder her progress.

With a big serve as a weapon, Rybakina could bring her game to the next level if she could develop her volleying and dropshot skills; it is a big ask but she is still young and has time. Her ground strokes are decent but not as effective as her top 10 peers when the rallies get extended so shortening the rallies is to her advantage.
