It’s criminal that her career high ranking is only 8 and she has just one title 😭 Without injuries she would’ve been a stable top 5 player
Muchova has had chances to win titles actually, also injuries started in 2020 - correct me if i am wrong - she was already 24 - the peak age for players - at the time and hadnt been top 20 - aside from pegula players like Ons, Sakkari, late bloomers dont sustain there although it is amazing that they fought hard to get there
Also badly let down by high error rate in big matches - eg her SF appearances at the last two USO where about 50% of her opponents’ points came from her UE.
Honestly, the most athletic female tennis player of all time imo. Hope she can get really healthy and strong. I think she could get to No.1.
Karolina Muchova is a phenomenal gem..Brilliance is synonymous with her..Sports is about enjoyment.
People take time to watch sports because they want to come and enjoy moments of brilliance.And that is what you get when Muchova is on the court.
It's like watching CR7 Messi or Catlin Clark play.

Yes, the shot making, but her footwork is mesmerizing. The 2:07 run-around to the forehand. And how she's able to play this game style and beat the massive hitters. And lastly, this is such a complete highlight reel and it doesn't even include anything from the first set and a half against Jessie Pegula from USO - stacked!
WTA version of Monfils :) truly nice angles and variations.
I love Monfils but she is better imo : more attacking, more creative (though perhaps not the equal of Monfils athletically... but no-one is)

one thing - there are 2 500 level events after NYC , and She needs court playing / match toughening Bad. ( more the mental aspect , 3 rd set mental grit.). ... WHY isn't she in Mexico or Korea ?. another injury ?-

@@mindywong3839 @ M. K.M. beat both A. Sabalinka and Q. Zheng - legit top ten players - then pulled out of the final , I believe the story was ' wrist.' a couple weeks ago (mid Nov ) pulled out of the B.J.K. cup. seems pretty grim.
ATP player D. thieme ( he won a major ) had a bad wrist ( obviously I know 0 details ) and after 2 year attempted comeback and very few match wins, retired.
@@rickc661 Karolina M's last match for the season was on 19 Oct 2024 during Ningbo Open where she retired with an injury against Mirra. Karolina beat both Aryna and zheng at China Open 2024 and didn't pull out but lost to coco in the final.

The injury issues she's had to deal with have got to be one of the great tragedies of tennis. It's a crime that someone of her talent has only ONE career title, and that was back in 2019.
