Didn't get to see him until this year, at The Egg in Albany, NY. His rendition of this song was the highlight of the night for me. He played to a small but adoring crowd.
Southside is a completely different class, the full business, go on Johnny make em have it 😍😃🤩🤩
Wonderful to see them LIVE again!
I had the Fortune to see them back in the early 80s. In a nightclub in Malmö, Sweden.
I will never forget that show.. and how I ended up right in front of the stage and got into a little "argument" with Johnny about the Sin of Gambling.
He told the audience "We have a Sinner in the club tonight" - and pointed at ME!!
Hilarious!!!
..and this wonderful song!!
Thanks to Johnny and the Asbury Jukes I discovered how great this song is.
I don't think I had heard it before that night in the 80s..
Saw them last Saturday night. In Ft. Lauderdale. Packed the Theatre, Lots of Jersey folks. Band was great. Anyone who did not have a most amazing time does not have a pulse. He's about 73 now and totally brings it.
Awesome saxophone.
Great job guys.
Fantastic performance from Johnny, Beverley Playhouse and second time at Holmfirth can't wait for his return. Been a fan from the 70's the man is brilliant.
Johnny is getting real old. 70 at the time of this performance. I still love him.
Well , he’s aren’t we all . It was still an excellent night
70 is the new 30. Still a great voice. Not quite Compo yet 😉
Great videos,I was at both shows....Epic
Was at the gig the previous night . Top top band . Top top venue too
My wife is not a huge Jukes fan but she'll tag along with me when he comes to our city. She's very musical and mostly a singer but she can play sax. First show we saw after John Isley joined the band she says, "That guy is phenomenal!"
Isley is a beast
WOW! Just loved it x
Great singer/band
Was there that night, hope he tours again in England
Wonderful. Seems like an always returning part of their live show.
Simple , cos it’s brilliantly done
yes, he does this every time, one of the few. Each show is distinctly different.
This Sax guy is great!
Was a brilliant night
Thanks for the Southside clip. Did you by any chance record more of the Jukes? Keep up the good work.
Thank you. Keep watching this channel for more uploads of Southside. ;-)
@@Albertstan Many thanks.
ballacks , I MISSED THE GREAT MAN !!! when will he return to yorkshire ??
Hopefully
Johnny putting on a clinic for how to entertain your audience.
Wow can that guy play the sax!!!
Those darken streets would scare any man away … who did it better just my imagination Rolling Stones
Sounding more and more like Joe Cocker
Saw Johnny and Jeff in Greenville for our 20th anniversary gift from my then wife. He sang three songs and said, I'm not in to this tonight, you will get your money back and left the stage. What a POS. What about travel and room expenses. No wonder he's a bar singer when he could have made it big. Jon Bon Jovi tried, Springsteen tried, Little Johnny tried. He had to blow every chance he had. Loser. Jeff his key player a d the bassist is who the come to see nowadays. Give it up with the half ounce if dignity you have left John.
Sad that Johnny has to sing for a bunch of drunkards.
