The Cure Chronicles: HIV with Michael Fletcher

Michael is a passionate HIV advocate who has dedicated the last 15 years of his career to raising awareness and education about HIV as a Peer Advocate at “The Horizon Program” in Maine. Michael’s role helps ensure people living with HIV in his rural community receive proper access to HIV treatment to prevent the disease developing into AIDS. He is also a strong advocate for challenging HIV stigma.
About The Cure Chronicles:
There are more than 38 million people in the world currently living with HIV/AIDS. At American Gene Technologies® (AGT™), we believe there is hope for a cure. But it will take everyone working together to make it a reality and permanently end the suffering of millions of people living with HIV today.
AGT is testing a single-infusion cell therapy (AGT103-T) to hopefully cure people living with HIV. Meanwhile, we want to spotlight some of the many people in the HIV community who strive to keep hope alive and tip the odds toward success.

I’m glad Micheal is doing well and he has an uplifting story. All I want to say is that the HIV medicine doesn’t work for everyone. Some can’t get their immunity back up to normal levels.

My question to ceo jeff that what r the present results on agt hiv cure what is the news about those patients who withdraw from their arvs because agt announced before that they will bring information on Dec 2022.

We have safety data and blood markers of efficacy that satisfy the Phase 1 clinical trial criteria, we expect to submit the final Phase 1 trial report to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in February 2023. American Gene is currently writing the protocol for Phase 2 for FDA consideration to continue the clinical development of this potential cure for HIV.
