Hey man. Have u ever had issues with ur ac. I've been takin my truck to a mechanic. He can't find the issue. Most mechanics are just figuring it out. And not knowing. Smh. He tells me the tahoes have two systems. One in front and back. Not sure we're is leaking from but it can't hold any frion
I haven’t had any issues with my A/C. The best thing I would know to do is have them add frion with dye in it so you can see where the leaks are. Hopefully someone else with more knowledge than me can give you a better answer.
Buy hp tuners and you won't regret it. You can change tire size, gear ratio, engine size, transmission type, delete rear o2 sensors for high flow cats, etc. Did the 6.0l swap with high flow cats and tuned it myself with hp tuners. I had to do my homework but it was well worth learning. Especially if you do all your own work on your tahoe or any chevy vehicle.
Good ideas brother..... you gotta clean Tahoe! I live in Pennsylvania and we got rust issues up here. My 04 Tahoe is pretty clean but I undercoated it with Woolwax for rust prevention. Furthermore I might add about the gear swap. Its unfortunate & more costly on a 4x4 because when you swap the gears in the rear, the front diff has to match as well. Id love to 4l80e swap mine with about a 4.10 tru-trac. I've heard a lot of guys say they are actually getting better mileage with lower (numerically higher) gear swap. Im all about saving money on gas, lol. Good content brother! 👌
I gotta chime in on this on 2 of your upgrade recommendations. 2nd battery? For what? You got a game room in there? No need. Gears? No need. I have a 2000 Tahoe. 6" lift on 19x10.5x35. I pull a dual axle enclosed motorcycle trailer at time w 4 HD baggers. I have a stock 5.3 w/ 230k miles. Never ever had one issue with acceleration with a weight behind me. Stopping? Yup. Got a brake controller. Rebuilt my 4L60e pos trans at 200k. Needed it w a shift kit, bigger torque converter and a huge trans cooler. Thing runs like a beast. It's a beast in the snow as I live on a mountain and every road is winding uphill. Beast. If I have to go into the city, the 6" rough country suspension lift on 35" tires with 36psi.... the suspension travel and ride are beast on the city streets which are equal to Ukrainian streets. 2nd battery? No need. I have smart screens for all passengers, surround sound, front n rear heat /ac, alarm, front rear and interior camera. Never needed a 2nd battery. Got a Dekka 800cca and a high out put alternator. Nothing pulses. Check me out. instagram.com/dutch___micha3l?igshid=NzZlODBkYWE4Ng==
I have 3.23 gears so the truck is sluggish all around and I’m running 20x12.5x33. Gears or power adders could help with towing and I have towed a lot and it has struggled with heavy weight. I also need a 2nd battery since I am running a 2 12s that are 2k watts each and 2 amps. 1 powers the door speakers and the other powers the subs and the setup is very power hungry. I like to keep the system on a separate battery just so I can always know the truck will start if the system has any issues and draws on the battery. I’ve run systems for years so it’s from experience. You likely have a higher gear ratio in your Tahoe then mine. They came with multiple different gear ratios from the factory but it sounds like your setup is legit. I can only imagine how much better it drives with that rebuilt trans with the shift kit and converter. Brake controller is also important.
Man if thats your garage 😱... You've got it made... I love it... Much space to do anything in there... I need to move to Texas, but it's too dam hot there for me... Its too dam hot in NY. A garage that size where I'm from would cost a fortune... Again man you have it made... 🙏💯 Good videos also...
Thanks for posting these videos. I have an 05 Tahoe that I bought brand new then and she is still hanging in there. Looking to keep her running better than ever because I have towed trailers and will be towing a travel trailer in the near future.
I was just going to recommend UA-camr LSXMatt and his 04 Tahoe. He goes to scrap yards and pickup the larger calipers and brake rotors from an 07 to 2014 if I recall from a Chevy Tahoe PPV Police Pursuit Vehicles or SSV Special Service Vehicles. The front brake upgrade slaps right in and makes a huge difference, and it only cost him at the time, like $40. Plus, he's always scouring old Tahoe's for the rear subwoofers located in the left back by the hatch.
Great mod videos. I own a 05 Tahoe base model 4.8l. I have plan to do some of the upgrades. But didn't think of the brake calibers, gd idea. But I think considering u live in Texas and this goes for those in Arizona. I think your biggest upgrade would be your radiator. Go to a All Aluminum 3 row radiator to help with cooling especially when towing in HOT areas like Texas and Arizona. And if your gonna switch to an electric fan setup make sure u you choose one with a high CFM rating and maybe upgrade the Alternator as well.
Just found your channel. I recently purchased a 2000 GMC Yukon and so stoked about hookin it up. Might post a vid about it. Thanks for the ideas and lookin forward to more of your vids.
my 05 yukon the ac gas leaked. the line that rund under the body perforated. the mechanic cut it off and blocked ot off and refilled the gas. now only the front works, takes longer to cool. was a cheaper fix than replacing the line
Thank you and I have a leveling kit which gave it a 3 inch lift in the front and 2 inches in the back. I made a video going over my full setup if you need some guidance. Thanks for watching.

Mine is ac evaporator core it blows out hot air instead of cold when on ac
@@stevenramer1767 I think I Have the same problem. I live in chicago. It's cold now. Maybe a fix before the spring next year
I've had my actuators replaced and the temp control replaced. I'd check there
Mine was leaking from the back right where the line goes up into the read wheel well. Hard to see without using dye and a light.
