What you're talking about at 19 minutes about finishing tracks.... After having the core of a song like you have at that time, I like to work my way outwards in both directions to create an intro and an end section wifh some kind of big climax. But having that initial "heart" of the track first is very important to me. If thats not working, I either start over or abandon it.
Great vid, I'm feeling the vibes and love the last point of setting realistic goals to boost you up and push you along. I keep focussing on releasing an EP when I'm not even releasing a single. Steady build-up and I won't get dis-heartened.
@@s1gns0fl1fe I love current! I feel the same it really didn’t get a good start & it’s sort of on the side lines now! It’s so powerful & fun to use! I always smile when I see you reach for it! Thanks Chris!
This tutorial is food for the soul!! 💃 Another awesome tutorial from the best 👏 most awesome teacher of all time!! Thank you so much, learned a lot and really enjoyed this one. 🙏🩷
I really like the way you used Harmony Bloom in a slow tempo with just a few notes to make a simple melody that repeats in another octave. This gets me thinking about how to use HB in a new and useful way. Like melody 1 ascending (like you have it), clip it, melody 2 descending, clip it, melody 3 mix it up a little on the left side of HB controls clip it, adjust left side again, clip it, … and then play the clips live (or arrange them in a track) to add more variation in the melody. Previously, I had only been using HB with a lot of notes
have you done any videos using cardinal ? i have had it downloaded for a while and it seems like it could be an ambient beast, but i have hardly cracked the lid off it
@s1gns0fl1fe i found one from just a couple months ago. Yea i just made my first patch in cardinal today. I have stayed away from vcv rack because I can't use it in a daw without paying for it. But I had so much fun this afternoon maybe ill pick it up one day
Thanks for the inspiration.

Great approach, stealing this. Thanks

Real talk it actually is!
would love to see Current make more of an appearance. even tho I know its not used by many.
I agree! Current is so great. It didn't get it's fair shake and that's a shame because every time I use it I'm inspired and want to use it more.

If you want to hear some proper Ambient/drone Techno, check out Joachim Spieth and Affin Records.
Thank you Chris!
Of course!
Chris could you cover the use of resonators in ambient music? Thank you.
Second half of the video I use Ableton's "Resonators" in an ambient piece: ua-cam.com/video/UsbcgiCP0nE/v-deo.htmlsi=uVeldsVkDs7ApBHj
Thank you Chris. I wonder why I dont receive notifications from youtube for any of your videos. I see that I have enabled all notifications.
I'm not sure! Thanks for your enthusiasm though.

I'm more of a VCV Rack guy myself but Cardinal is amazing! I do have some VCV videos on here.
Get free Vcv rack and an interface with multiple ins and outs, less limitations

I try my best! 🍻
@@s1gns0fl1fe it really shows! I'm so glad your Ambient videos started to show up in my feed last week. So inspiring!
Techno doesn't stop at 135 bpm and this isn't even techno, its synthwave with a bass like that.
