    Finland seems so peaceful and clean, tech-y and urban. I plan on visiting it and hopefully relocating in a few years, I've been always fascinated about everything about the country and the people. I'm a metalhead and a linguist, so obviously I admire their music, art and language very much. As I'm single, I also wish to find an awesome Finn and settle down with him, unfortunately not many tourists from Finland are coming to my country (compared with tourists from other EU countries).
    Great vid and your story has motivated me to move forward with my goals to be there, so thank you very much for that as well.
    Greetings and Shalom from Tel Aviv, Israel :)

    They managed to market the Tripla mall as "the biggest", but it all depends on the variables. It's not the biggest based on space, as even the Sello mall in Espoo is bigger based on that. They might be the biggest based on shops, but that will vary over time. Still nice though to have this place there, as I work relatively close by and the area is otherwise void of restaurants and shops.

      Yeah no idea about how it compares to other malls bu I have to say it was pretty nice... for a mall.

    Always glad to see a new video from Luke! Tripla wasn't mind-blowing but it was a definite upgrade to the old mere station and the basement beach with +27 degrees all year around sure is a must-visit!

      @@LukeBland Good! I know this subject via my work as a functional medicine nutritionist and I have had clients suffering from exhaustion becourse of too much sport and everything in life. It can start with feeling your stamina is low and you feel like you get out of breath easily. It can also cause gastro intestinal problems, problems with sleep and mood, hormonal imbalances and lowering of immune system. So if you notice something like this, please be careful! :)

      Think it's by some standard, somebody mentioned the amount of shops, don't know. You know how business people think - 'we've got to find a good rep word for the place', especially when new.
      I live close by, just yesterday evening I changed transportation next to it. But I just didn't need anything from there. Anyway - doesn't really change my shopping patterns: haven't been there yet. I'll end up there anyway at some point - just happy I didn't go there in the opening frenzy. As if a mall would bring something new. I won't go there because of it being the greatest in Scandinavia by some measurement.
      But the location is so strategic in Helsinki, it's a hard place to miss: one of the most common places to chnge transport, if not the number one. If you start from the Central Railway Station, you'll at least see it at the next station.

    • @jesse23421
      @jesse23421 5 років тому +1

      Yes it is. In square meters.
      Tripla 85 000 m^2
      Mall of scandinavia 101 000 m^2
      But in shops
      Tripla 250
      MOS 224
      But Another mall in Helsinki ”Itis” which opened 1984 have gross leasable area
      115 300 m^2 and whole area 200 000 m^2
      As realible information as Wikipedia gets 🤷🏻‍♂️
      Who knows the counting style who can say they are biggest 😂

    • @MissSylvia67
      @MissSylvia67 5 років тому

      It doesn't matter which one is biggest, I've only been to MoS since I live in Stockholm. Just heard it was bigger. Am going to Helsinki in November to see Ghost 🤟 in Hartwall arena. Are any of these malls close to that part of Helsinki?

    • @mikrokupu
      @mikrokupu 5 років тому +1

      @@MissSylvia67 @Lisa S The Tripla mall is not far from the Hartwall arena, around 10 min walk. The mall , a huge white cube, is situated in the same complex with the Pasila/Böle railwaystion, there you'll find a marked walking path to the arena.

      i’m a finn, lived my whole life in finland, and never seen a single skyscraper. i have heard there should be few somewhere in helsinki, but they’re super rare, kinda hard to find and not that tall. europe in general doesn’t really do skyscrapers. especially nordic countries. people say they ruin the scenery and and culture. tallest buildings in my city are the old lookout tower and a church. i actually use them to navigate since they are visible to almost all city.
