Nice one Jake, out of all the times I've fished Lake K I've never fished in the 'launch bay' although I did notice a heap of pelicans in the back there the other day. Well done on the basses mate and nice to see the metals working again! :)
thanks mate! yup, tbh i've ignored the launching bay until the last couple of weeks mainly as i've never had any luck there - but they defo seem to be hiding in there at the moment 😉the pelicans are nuts, there's so many of them and they defo seem to have joined forces with the cormorants... they'll all group together and then all of a sudden go mental trashing the water to a foam and gulping down fish! it's quite a sight... those pelicans are big birds...
@@cotswoldadventures4556 I have indeed moved to aus, about 5 years ago now 😉 but of a break from the fishing videos but got back into it once i got the kayak! the fishing here is amazing 🤘 but i'm not gonna lie, i do miss pike 😭
@@jakewilliamson The Kayak does look fun , I'm big into my carp fishing back here in the UK and hope to do a fair bit in France and Belgium in the near future, take care.👍👍🎣🎣
lake k is fishing tough as at the moment... the fish seem really spred out and are defo in hiding, i strongly suspect due to the pelicans and cormorants. i went out yesterday, caught a fair few (including a 43cm which i was made up with!) but all at the southern end of the lake. the top end appears to be completely devoid of fish, but with the weed still so thick in the top bays they have a lot of places to hide. i think the thing that's surprising me is just how different last year was in comparison to now! i was having some amazing sessions going into november and this year i'm scraping it together... stick with it though, it's a challenge 😉
Elvis for the win. Well done mate.
it never fails!

Took the yak out on lake k a week ago 5hrs on the water not one bite so any fish that puts a bend in the rod is a good one as far as I’m concerned
