This solves a lot of problems! The vid mentioned textures, I need something like this that can use custom face textures, any ideas? I love the UI and fast workflow in this app, thanks for sharing.
THE MOST INCREDIBLE THING ABOUT THIS INCREDIBLE APP IS tHAT YOU CAN IMPORT YOUR OWN CLOTHING!!!!! This solves the most difficult problem I was facing in EVERY upcoming or hypothetical project. BELIEVE we've been waiting for this ....
I definitely plan on looking into this. Getting clothes for MetaHumans has not been easy. The one thing I would like to see from apps like this is a custom designer in conjunction with the asset library. Would be an instant buy, but this looks promising.
This app will quite nicely replace blender in one step of our clothing workflow. UE -> Blender -> Marvelous -> Blender -> UE. Just looking at the video tutorial it seems that we may only need to use one male and one female metahuman in Marvelous Designer and then use the app to fit the clothing to the other different sized metahumans in the app. This has the potential to save a lot of time in our clothing process. I'm off to check out the early access and see if we can get a copy to test out. And I can see once we have the two models in Marvelous it's looking like a UE+Marvelous to Metatailor and then back to UE workflow.
@@AephVeyniker If the clothing mesh is setup correctly then why would you do any retopology in Marvelous? With metahumans my workflow doesn't require blender. Your situation may different, but retopology should be done before you get to metatailor and before importing into Unreal etc.
Wait a minute J. You can import your own clothing? Total game changer. I hope the Clothing holds up to film quality and has dynamics. Can’t wait to see folks working with clothing from the Daz studio library as well as Marvelous Designer. Also, can’t wait to see what style Marshall does with this.
This layering schtuff is amazing. If they can grow the library to all kinds of different types of clothing and style, then we are cookin. Importing other clothing is a must as well...and that would have to be a simple export. $35 a month for a large library of contrasting styles and choices is worth it--a limited library of clothing wouldn't be worth it in my opinion.
i've been waiting for this awhile!! this is way better than drapper. so the question is, do you get to keep assets you got when subbed if you let it expire? what about commercial use? do you have to always maintain the sub?

If you create assets under the license do you have to keep the license current after you release a project for example? Or can you let the license expire but still continue to sell your game/project whatever it is with the assets?
Interesting, but to actually create clothes, seems there are few other options than Marvelous Designer. It's nice to have something to simplify adjusting existing clothes models, but myeah.
Great point @kimforsberg, you can bring in your own clothing from ANY platform. METATAILOR is used to make ANY 3D clothing interoperable and fit any avatar.

Yoo, this is some serious sh*t! That would help speed up my workflow a lot. Tho I am wondering if imported custom clothing is also working with their auto layering system. So far I mostly exported Alembics from Marvelous for my cinematics, would love to change that! Also I am wondering how good it works with chaos cloth inside unreal to add some physics to it. Pretty interesting stuff for real!
I've been waiting for such shape preserving deformer/shrink wrap modifier for ages, this is something lazy 3D software makers haven't been able to get done. But anyway, this is a demo but, such amount of overlapping meshes will cause good amount of clipping and interpenetration of mesh parts, no matter how good the weighting is, if the character has large range of movement.
There is an option when you import in items to add your texture maps (Color, Normal, AO, Roughness, Metal and Emissive).
