It's just unfortunate that this is a sponsored video, rather than an actual unbiased review video. That means we know he's not telling us what things he noticed it does badly, what it lacks, or what other competitors we should also consider using. And him having been sponsored by this company will have at least some influence on what he says about this product and its other AI competitors too in the future, even if it's just a subconscious bias, and well, that sucks. Yes, channels need sponsors to fund good content, and he probably wouldn't take sponsors with products he doesn't believe in. But still, just kind of unfortunate for us viewers when it's a product in a category where it would be so much more valuable to see genuine, unpaid evaluations.
"and he probably wouldn't take sponsors with products he doesn't believe in" FWIW we do turn away most brands and just promote those we believe in But 100% there's inherent bias anytime you take money from someone, even if subconscious Have you seen an example of a media company that has done this well? If you take Wirecutter for example, they run independent reviews but still run ads alongside them & take affiliate The only total departure from the ad model I can imagine is consumers paying for access to the reviews. Discovery then gets really hard since folks aren't finding you via algorithms I agree with everything you said but don't know that a better alternative exists

Jason did ask, but I think his point is that he wants firms to do their own diligence. We are more than happy to respond to any questions that you have.
@@cj1325 Hi Im also one of the other founders of trueprep. Jason posted a quick bit in the description but the short answer is we use many different models, some language, some not. Most of our AI is our own, we do use a third party for one model and that third party is GDPR, CCPA, and SOC-2 compliant. They don't store data permanently, and we're currently finalizing a BAA with them to ensure we're HIPPA level compliant.
Yeah if I go very far down that rabbit hole these videos become 4 mins of AI security and 2 mins of what the product actually does I also don't want ppl making a habit of letting youtubers do their app due diligence as well 😅 I put some more specifics in the video description, but in its current state I wouldn't have any issues using this one in my firm

Can you speak to whether it can also work with state tax returns/state tax planning or just Federal?
Hello! This is the founder here. We do state returns and planning as well.
