Left to right when they were lined up on stage.... Layne Stein - beatboxer, baritone, arrangements. Eli (el lee) Jacobson - tenor, rock tenor, lighting, arrangements. Cesar De La Rosa - baritone, tenor. Geoff (Jeff) Castellucci - bass, arrangements. Solo channel. Layne is also co-owner of Pattycake Productions Studio where this was filmed. Also where Voiceplay and Geoff film most of their videos. Pattycake does original Disney related videos. Except a couple they did for other companies. Disney characters coming to life in these amazing musicals. Layne's co-owner and mastermind is former member Tony Wakim. Tony also directs and choreographs most of their and Voiceplay videos.
@@LoriPeace He's also the guy who does Geoff's solo works' make-up. Geoff sometimes refers to him as the 'beard wrangler' since he so often has one for his 'characters'
Since you commented on the lights, those were done by Eli (the guy with no hair on his head but a neat beard and glasses in this video). He’s become the one who programs their lighting and also does digital backgrounds when needed (see Valhalla Calling for 4 invented backgrounds) As for makeup that is credited in their video description but the part of the video before the ‘infestation’ makeup (where they look normal) was where they probably did do their own makeup. They only call in Rick for when they need something really different. And especially when prosthetics are involved like here.
So cool that VoicePlay's Feb. 2024 cover of "Sleeping in the Cold Below" caused the Warframe game developers to contact them immediately to do this one for their release of a game update this month. As far as I know, this was VP's first sponsored video by a company. So glad that Warframe let the boys do their own thing and film this one at Pattycake, like normal.
@@ilonadever8249 There was also Mission: Jingle Bells sponsored by Paramount, Candy Crush, and Honkai Star Rail, although the last two were shorts. Warframe definitely gave them the most freedom though, considering Mission: Jingle Bells isn't even on any streaming platforms.
Such a wildly catchy song! Layne’s beats and Geoff’s bass contributed a lot to making it feel “not a cappella” - they made the arrangement sound really full. I’m glad you caught this one as soon as it dropped!
I always get so excited when I see you drop a reaction to VoicePlay 😌 You’re right-they don’t sound like a-cappella. My favorite thing is when I show people VoicePlay and they go, “That’s not a-cappella!! They have a drumset!” or, “They have a bass guitar!” (both have happened :) Of course it's obvious that they put effects on their voice on some parts, but my opinion on vocal effects have always been: they’re only bad if they’re overused or used to cover up a lack of talent. (And while the first is a matter of opinion-the latter is definitely not! They’re insane!!) Hope you have a great night! Whatever you listen to next, I hope you have fun with it 🤍💜
HI great reaction it is always good to see a new reactor finding ouyt about this talented group of people,👍👍 seeing as you like Voiceplay you should check out Geoff Castellucci's videos he is the bass singer for Voiceplay and has his own Y/T channel where he does solo recordings, especially his latest "Carol of the Bells" which he dropped just over a week ago for christmas he often has clones of himself in the videos singing the background harmonies, and he plays all the instrument and films and edits the videos himself withj the help of his wife Kathy (and somtimes the members of voiceplay to do the lighting). As far as the makeup is concerned this is not the most extreme makeup that they have done, that was featured in "The Hall of the Mountain King" and "Classical Chaos" videos they will often go all in on makeup and costuming for their videos. They are often referred to as the " Theater Kids of Acapella" because of this, Geoff's wife often acts as costume director for the group, with Geoff (the Bass) Layne ( the beatboxer) and Eli (the bald rock tenor with glasses and beard) producing and directing each song. As you hear more of them you will begin to recognize their production styles. The videos are often shot at Pattycake productions a studio owned by Layne and Tony Wakim (also a former member of the group) They have had several linup changes over the years but geoff and layne have always been members and freinds since high school when they first formed the group, they are primarily a four peice group now with the main members being Geoff Castellucci, Layne Stein, Eli Jacobsen and Cesar De La Rosa they use guest singers to fill in the fifth spot since their fifth member J None left to joiun the navy choir a couple of years ago ( though he often returns whilst on leave to sing with the group) . Finally welcome to the Voiceplay Rabitthole it is very deep and they have a lot of great videos to react to. Hope you have fun! 👍👍
Since you really appreciate the production value the guys create, the beatboxer, Layne Stein, and former baritone of the group, Tony Wakim, have their own production company called Pattycake Productions. In fact that is where this video was filmed, but Pattycake does their own videos as well with original songs written by Layne and Tony. Their most recent one, Into the Storm, is fantastic, and I think should definitely be seen and reacted to by more people. It's a song about the Wicked Witch of the West from Wizard of Oz and features her many iterations over the years.
Voiceplay is just the best!! They've done several gaming pieces but, to my knowledge, only two that were sponsored. Dragonborn Comes, not sponsored, from Skyrim is the best.
Halo is also a non-sponsored gaming video. No words just percussion and such. They brought in former beatboxer Scott Porter. Scott and Layne did a short battle through beatboxing from the game.

Absolutely love this performance! So much fun! Great to see Voicplay tap into the 1999 vibes. What a blast from the past!
Rick Underwood a friend of theirs from Universal Studios Orlando does their makeup.
I knew he did their makeup, but didn't know who he specifically was. Oh yeah thank you. So good!

Gotcha, great to know!
I think they caught the spirit of 1999 very well 😉. ⚘️🕊
So true. I grew up in the 80's and 90's and had such a flashback. Just felt like a teenie fangirl again 🥰. This is perfekt 90's vibes❤️🔥
Mission Jingle Bells is one by them you’d like.

PUBG Mobile sponsored Shero Returns with Ashley Diane, it was not a full length video.
