I'm an instructor in the U.S. and I would like to say that the info I just heard was spot on! It's a breath of fresh air to hear great instruction on UA-cam. Ed is so personable and humble.
Humble... maybe not. But I like him because he's no nonsense
That level of self deprecation and humility comes from knowing you really are THAT good! 👍
I love the humor.... life is too short not to enjoy it
Excellent film, possibly one of the best shooting films on UA-cam!! should get him on more!!
If he’ll come back on 😂
@@tgsoutdoors I’ve already told him he needs too!!
@@rkob1 could you please explain diminishing lead for me
@@waynebar1 a lead that’s less than you think it should be.
@@waynebar1 Diminishing lead is a lead that lessens as the target approaches the kill zone. Think of sustained lead, but the lead is decreasing as you approach the kill point.
Ed is such a good communicator of his knowledge. Knowing how to do something yourself is one thing, but being able to tell someone else how to do it is another.
Bang on
@@tgsoutdoors Second that, amazing coach AND shooter!
Tgs what with gun reviews and clay tours you've done some great vids but this one just knocked it out of the park. Also Ed needs a coaching medal as big as a frying pan. Top fella.
Probably the best shooting video I've seen absolutely fantastic 👏
Best clay tour yet . Can’t believe how good he can shoot from the hip .
Let me know when the Ed vs Ant charity fight is on 😂
If Ed and Ant had a shoot off, i'd put a bet on Ant.........each way.
Superb lesson. Technical breakdown makes perfect sense. Much more useful than " just when you think you have enough lead on a 50 yard shot, add 3 ft...
Sash killed it again 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
The Man is pure 🔥
And that’s how you make clay shooting entertaining! Absolutely brilliant job Ed and Jonny but biggest congrats go to Sash - incredible production!
Amazing shooting and top notch video. It's kind of shocking how good this channel's production is. A good UA-cam channel now is miles better than all but the best TV ever was.
I shot the fitacs layout today at grimsthorpe today and kept increasing the distance till I was actually at the path, amazing targets, and you can appreciate the effort that goes in and some serious delay after pulling the trigger and see clay break, well done grimsthorpe team, 👍👍
Haven't seen Ed for a while, but he's an absolute star as a coach. Couple of years back my sporting scores took a dip, couldn't work out what was wrong. Half a day with Ed, he immediately noticed that I was getting lazy with hold points, making myself rush the shot. Took it on board and was feeling confident again by the end of the session. Two days later, shot a comp and was one away from my PB at a Registered shoot. He's fantastic at spotting issues with what you are doing and working with your current shooting style / level of ability to get you hitting things consistently.
The two mornings i have spent being coached by Ed are the best investments I made in shooting. No deconstruction of my poor technique, just an ability to teach people how to read the targets, and how to use your eyes to get the best out of them. If i lived closer i'd have a monthly session with him.
Simply brilliant gentlemen! Left handed shooters have a mental advantage.
Ahhhh that’s why he won
@@tgsoutdoors It's true... scientific fact.
Why is that? It’s simply about eye dominance… how does that present an advantage to be left eye dominant and shooting left handed over being right eye dominant and shooting right handed?
@@johnclark1925 I can appreciate your question but, Is it scientifically proven in anatomy that being left handed or left eye dominant or left anything dominant is a advantage.
Numerous scientific studies have proven this. May I direct your attention to New England Journal Of Medicine. There are numerous researched peer papers That prove it.
An absolutely top notch video and you did the Longthorne proud too!
Ed is a legend, a gentleman (of sorts) and a really funny guy and a great coach. Where others boast, Ed just gets on and delivers the goods
Best in the business; works with what you have and builds on that with small changes making a huge difference, despite the joking on the video he's always (mostly) been very professional when I've had coaching from him. Credit to the sport and genuinely good to be around.
I absolutely love the little owl sounds to keep the language clean 😄 exceptional shooting gentlemen!
I've watched all of the top coaches/instructors on here and i've come to the conclusion that Ed Solomons stands head and shoulders above the rest (imho). He gets the point across with minimum fuss and is easy to understand with no bull****. He's the guy i'd go to.
One of the most usefull shotgun shootingn videos on You tube.
Amazing video. Ed obviously slipped Jonny a cheeky tenner to let him win. No other explanation for what I just witnessed
24:45 - Some great comments here Ed, on where the Sport is at, and where it's going. "There's a difference between a hard good target and hard bad target." Spot on. Great videos from TGS Outdoors, very enjoyable and entertaining. - Cheers, Peter Tobin.
I’m an unclassified rookie but love the game and constantly work at improving. I’ve watched a few of Ed’s videos and I feel like he’s standing behind me addressing what I’m trying to work through in language a common man can understand. Great work. I’ll be watching more and a heartfelt thank you for the help.
That's why these people teach, they know a thing or too :D
Fantastic video, plenty of banter and a great laugh to watch 👍
I am utterly amazed at the man's ability. I have always looked at you and your Game Keeper mate and been impressed by your skill, but Ed's on another level. Thoroughly enjoyed the video. Thank you.
That guy is from another planet.
Ed is a really good coach. I've walked with him a few times and I appreciate his patience and explanation you can't find better in my eyes.
Absolutely fantastic video.
Ed is obviously an amazing coach. His ability to keep it light but also let someone know straight away that this is the time to listen and if you do you will be better… Well done gentlemen.
Watching you guys shooting and talking together is so nice,,, Ed is a genius.
He outshot me from the hip too. And then again from the hip with his wrong hand. I’ve had a few lessons over the years but Ed was by far the best, decent bloke and unassuming which is quite rare these day. Great video.
What a great instructor. And a great student. Good job men
Ed is one of the very best coaches in the market, hell of a shot and a extremely humorous fella. Trust me I've on the receiving end of his brand on fun for years 🤣🤣😂🤣🤣😜Miss u lots buddy!
I could watch Ed all day, what a guy! Great vid JC! Very very envious indeed. Well done mate enjoyed that
Just watched this video for the second time, one word... Brilliant
Best vlog I've seen for ages, Ed speaks so much sense.
Great entertaining video really enjoyed it .. keep up the great work .. amazing shooting.
Love these videos, haven’t been shooting long but I learn so much from these guys and I’m off to Grimsthotpe tomorrow, it’s local to me, takes about 40 mins by car. Fantastic ground.
I live reasonably close to Grimsthorpe and go with my Son In Law on a special occasion. Great video and it shows how good top shooters are compared with us club shooters. thoroughly entertaining! Thanks Jonny.
Ed is a wealth of knowledge and teaches extremely well! Learned a lot! Great video!!!
Absolutely fantastic from start to finish!
I recently bought a Weatherby Orion 1 O/U. For the money i think it’s an awesome gun. Super reliable so far, not a flashy finish but overall seems like a great gun.
Well made, interesting, and informative. Thank you.
Top lvl coaching and looks like an awesome day out
What a fantastic video!
Such a pleasure to learn techniques from the best!
From the start to the end I truly enjoyed it!
Can't wait for more vids like that to come.
Without any doubt it's the essence of true shooting!
Bravo!!!!
Fly on the wall during a great day out, so much information and great fun. What clay shooting should be, big thumbs up well done.
This guy is really worth listening to John , you both seemed to get on well , it really showed in this great video .
This is AMAZING material!!! Ed re codes my brain on lead….
So much fun to watch!
Great show. Beautiful club with great views. Ed seems to know his stuff and looked to make you comfortably uncomfortable on the tower. Well done, cannot wait for more. P.s. Keep us up to date on the new stock.
Brilliant video. Most enjoyable and watchable shooting vid I've seen. Shooting needs more great content like this.
Great video your best to date. The guy was sound great teacher
ed looks a top draw coach and ive watched this vid several times and im still amazed at his shooting from the hip skill set 👋
He’s the best in the business
Thanks for another great vid 👍
Places like those grounds is why I love shooting in the UK be it clays or driven game an other cartridge I bet you would love is the Hull 3 crowns cartridge lovely cartridge to shoot even more so out a good side by side haha all the best from Yorkshire keep safe.
That seemed a lot of fun. Shooting should be fun, and not be taken too seriously *( apart from safety of course). Keep up the intetesting vids.
This was brilliant
Brilliant Watch. Will help you on those Dorset archangels Jonny me lad.Priceless guidance.Possibly come at just the right time for you..
Superbly useful, thank you.
Ed vs. George Digweed... I want to see this!!!
It could be interesting
@@tgsoutdoors Would be your biggest viewed video yet.
Another cracking video 👍👍
Superb video fun and informative. Keep them up.
would love a lesson from ed .. comes across as very down to earth leaves is ego in the car.
Awesome video!
Best 1 you have made so far 👍👍👍👍👍👍
More of this Johnny please
This bloke is a Badass! 👊🏻
Finally good to see you shoot a proper gun
I want to see Jonny shoot Olympic trap! Will be an eye opener for him! Not so easy...
I’ll speak to a friend of mine about it!
@@tgsoutdoors As a medal winning trap shooter in Olympic trap... I want to see how you do.
That was pretty cool. Im an aussie and have been thinking about getting better with my shotgun. Can shoot rabbits like no tomorrow. Cant hit a duck to save my self 😂
Brilliant episode 👏👏👍👌
Wot a laff! Good one lads!
Beautiful grounds
Brilliant video, awesome shooting!!
You have lots of really nice courses to shoot over there.
Cracking video very enjoyable well funny 😄 😂👊👏
Thankyou 😃
Oh the happy few!
Ed is a great teacher
Amazing
@@tgsoutdoors
I like this channel and watch every video. Greetings from Bavaria
Fantastic video well done
Supe fun vid! Thanks!
We since learnt that Lewis Hamilton can only win if he has the best car and can easily be beaten by a rookie. Ed is in a different category to shoot from the hip!
I’m so sad you went to grimsthorpe when you did, I went on the Saturday and you went on the Wednesday
Great video lads 👍
Oh and btw Jonny, you gotta match that fore end, needs to be your next 'mod'
man your shooting grounds are so classy in the UK. in Australia they're uhhh...classless to say the least...
We are very lucky
That was great 👍
Very nice!
Really good .
Maybe Ed could show Johnny where his barber is too! 😅
Great shooting Johny.
That was great
Awesome stuff
I was halfway expecting a reveal that he normally shoots RH.
Inigo mantoya incarnate
We all hate a show off....... Dam he is a brilliant shot.
excellent vid no need to comment further
Do a crow shoot with Andy Crow 👍🦺
Did I see that right? From the hip??? There's a ton of money to be made in american trap winter league on the west coast... Just saying.
@ 14:54 did Jonny say "What's the craic"? before starting the sporting course😆Ed not pretentious in the slightest. I'd say his clients enjoy his company while shooting & improving their skills. U need an Ant v Ed segment.
Not sure I could handle seeing Ant cry
@@tgsoutdoors 🤣🤣🤣Ouch
Really really like this fella!
Off to sell a kidney and get some lessons
You're my wife now. 😂😂😂
That Ed Solomons is pretty good. Don’t think he’d get the better of Mr Pattison though
We heard Lloyd is SO good, even Mr Digweed fears him
@@tgsoutdoors the only thing that Lloyd Pattison is better at than breaking clays, is breaking women’s hearts
