Employees like Keegan are essential. i think when the time comes for you to keep growing hes going to be a huge asset and his light personality will make him a natural for training new hires. ive worked with a few “keegans” over the years and it really changes the atmosphere when someone other then the boss is always in a good mood! im sure your customers see it
I just got back from a 2 week vacation in mexico. it takes me about 3 days to clear my mind and start relaxing. however i bring my laptop to work at night when i can and early mornings as well. it helps me to relax and trust i have the business in good hands. its tough though. i feel ya!
We are in a population of about 40k. But with a lot of little towns around us. Only 10 dumpsters. But turn them over 40-60 times a month. I plan to return and buy a few more immediately. We're running out by the end of the week constantly now
Yep! If they toss it in the dumpster it's one price, and we ask them to put it in last so we can yank it out. Or if we have to do a pickup, it's another price
Let's talk about your 5th gen RAM. Have you had any mysterious oil leaks? I'm having one form the timing gear case gasket. I'm having RAM customer care look into covering it under warranty on my 4th gen. Apparently it is a well known issue that is almost unavoidable. That being said, I want to delete my grid heater and a couple other things in the near future. Also, if your 5th gen has the Aisin AS69RC, check the VIN for the recall on the snap ring if you haven't already.
Hmmm havnt heard of that gasket going but keep an eye on your oil pan mine rotted through and it’s a bloody pain to change. Dealer charges 25 hours to change 😢
I haven't seen any mysterious leaks around there yet. As I knock on wood....I'll look into the trans though! Although mine may be different. The cab and chasis model has a slightly different trans than a regular 3500 I believe
@@BentIronBins 0 snow or salt here. Hopefully not a concern. Diesel Doctor has a couple of videos about the gasket. My local diesel shop is doing 2 RN and the dealership diesel shop has 1 currently and has had several.

So as someone who is starting this business as a side hustle, but still working 7-5, What would you suggest be the right approach to documenting ? As early stages the business will be picking and dropping after 5, and fri-sunday. Not going full swing on ads quite yet. @@rollingops
@blaynebriceno it's kinda up to you man. Looking back, I kind of wish I had done the switch way sooner. Because I could have set an online scheduler, where I could set the availability. Rather than sneaking off at work to take phone calls, or missing them throughout the day. It would of also been the easier way to grow with the software. Rather than making a dramatic shift later, which not only causes a learning curve, but makes me retrain loyal customers who rent weekly, how to book online.
I'm not going to tell you, you HAVE to do anything or use any particular software. But you will find out that certain process are needed once you have a few dumpsters.
I would look into a couple software options and look at it this way. "How many dumpsters or junk removal jobs do I need to do to pay for this" Then say, "how much more business might this generate" That's how I evaluate nearly every purchase now
Gear wrench, amazon special. It's not super high quality snap ons. But for the price, it's an excellent truck box. You could repair about anything on the road with it in a pinch

It's a wicked balance! But I felt the same. 2-3 days before I could completely chill. With a few check ins a day. All went well!

I appreciate that man, I'm trying to step back and be happy with where im at for sure! But I got some goals to still hit!
More Keegan content! loved the different views

The different businesses should (must) be different LLC (done right, not just register with the state, so much more). I pray yours are.
Love the videos man, how many dumpsters do you guys run? And what would you say is your population in your service area?
