  • Wales and its mountains and water. This is taken from a rarely seen BBC documentary made in the late 1960s. Innovative in its day, it was filmed entirely from a helicopter. Better still is the intelligent and moving narrative by veteran English journalist Renee Cutforth, on the country and people of Wales - he never stops referring to Wales as foreign, but out of a mark of respect not contempt.

    Love this area. I've been walking the Wye catchment and have been fortunate enough to be drawn to the Cambrians and Pumlumon in particular. Beautiful, rugged and mysterious...ATB Mark

    I agree, the Cambrian Mountains, and the whole of Mid Wales are a best kept secret.
    I live about 25 Miles from Plylimon down on the Cambrian Coast.

    the welsh are in no way foreign,,.,I am genetical historian....most english in fact has brythonic (welsh relation) ancestors...so the english culture is more foreign
