almost nothing changed LOL
the only difference is that both versions of the normal combo do about the same damage now (aerial barrage version does slightly LESS now)
so order of combos by descending order of damage is:
tall combo > normal combo (spikes + tornado > aerial barrage) > anything with ishtar

Love this videos. One thing that I think should be mentioned is that skills only queue on key-up ( every other combo class is keydown) during the previous skills animation, which is probably why it’s easier to combo while mashing.
"Mash harder" cracked me up, mainly bc i wasnt mashing hard enough

Unfortunately I can't do it, I do all the skills but always unicorn skill have cooldownmaybe 1 or 2 seconds, it's necessary have jump points?
it could be as simple as server lag, in which case you can't do much about it @_@
Do I need to have 6% cd for this? My Unicorn Spike is not up at the second combo
so this new combo then mix in spike royale once in a while right ? good video btw
yup! even with spikes every 30 seconds, it seemed to be over 10% stronger than the old combo

Hi, i noticed doing the highest DPM combo (the new combo in this vid) my unicorn spike will not be ready in time to loop, may i know hwy is that? Im a new mercedes main.

If I had to throw out a guess, I think comboing can be *at least* 30% better than comboing during clones

I miss old Merc :( I remmeber when they first came out they had these 3 unicorn pets that was release around the same time ! Miss those days ☹️
when would you use isthar's? is that skill useless if you are comboing?
We can still use ishtar while:
1) we're using Sylvidia off-burst,
2) any time you want to walk out of the way or can't safely combo, or
3) while a combo skill is on cooldown for some reason and you'd rather wait out the time than try to force it off-cd some other way
4) it's just the most comfortable thing to do at that moment LOL
In an ideal world, you never have to use ishtar (besides on Sylvidia off-burst) ever again, but it's still such a good fallback option that most of us almost always end up using it a lot anyways. And there's absolutely NOTHING wrong with that! Just keep in mind that if your goal is to improve your damage output (without upgrading gear), you should always try to find more places on each boss where you can safely combo instead of using ishtar, then practice it enough to where it becomes comfortable for you :)
So for now, how many buff Attack speed up for merc to reach at the 0 Attack speed?
Green pot and dsi should be enough! If you had AS on IA, you can reroll it for boss now. If you're lazy though, having the IA line means you never have to use a green pot again haha
Isn't green pot what breaks the soft cap? So you could keep IA and drop DSI for a slot if really needed, but think 20 boss would be better. Or am I wrong?
@@nicholasbibeau4094 You're totally right! 20 boss is definitely better to have as a first line than AS. Since (atm) Ignis passively breaks soft cap, however, you don't need green pots at all if you're stuck on AS because you don't have enough honor to reroll (or you just really hate doing monster park).

while it's not possible to hold 1 combo on a boss all the time, the goal should always be to try to get as close to perfect as you can. practice makes perfect! :)

Hi, was undecided between picking Mercedes or Kain as my main class. Between the two which do u think is more button combo intensive and which is stronger for bossing and training post 200. Thx for the vid btw, nice music and great explanation :)
Combos are more intensive for Mercedes and bossing is better for Mercedes than Kain. Depending on ur legion and links, u will probably struggle to 200 on Mercedes. Not too knowledgeable on Kain but Ik this much cuz I thought about picking Kain up as a sub main possibly
So I have both Kain and Mercedes be my mains (275, 250). Difference is Mercedes is so much more intense now that alot of skills had their animation faster and cooldown reduced, so to combo need a bit of buttn smashing. Kain is an entirely different spectrum where he utilizes multiple skills together as a chain reaction, not an actual combo that links together. Bossing wise, Mercedes has so much more apm compaired to Kain but the pays off is fairly better. Mobbing wise, Mercedes needs a bit of map learning and see what kind of rotation fits you, where Kain is just depressing through and through.
is it worth hyper burning? xd i feel like mercedes has a lot of potential but idk if my mind can keep up with the mercedes changes
