Yeah, the bass drum pattern (both in Bleed and what's Gavin doing) are herthas, two 16ths notes followed by two 8th notes
Is tht a Weather report tune? Jaco would be on bass? Just asking? Im almost postive. It is the song to stretch your instrument on. I've seen him 4 times with Porcupine Tree in NYC and he is hands down worthy of this letterman drummer countdown. Don't forget Pinneapple thieves. His other band. Not for nothing but he is a big guy. Like a 6'4 giant behind the kit and crushes!

This is the video that introduced me to Gavin Harrison and Porcupine Tree.
I grew up idolizing Neil Peart... but Gavin has been favorite drummer since note 1!
For me, I've heard better soloists... but I've never heard anyone with his combination of musicality and technical skill.
Even in this video, I think he shines more when the band is playing with him.
I apologize if you've already done this, but Cheating the Polygraph live from Tilburg would be a great reaction to hear from you.

Somewhat average for those in the "talented drummer" class.
That was a rather dry example of his playing long ago.
Nothing average at all about this. The most creative solo of all the Letterman drum solos in my opinion.

@@Daddy-ep8ng I didn't do a critique of them, and didn't say they weren't talented. I made comments according to having played drums for 15 years, and for many decades studied drummers of every musical genre.
