This is the hardest I've laughed all day. AJ is hilarious. I could only do 10 percent of these tricks cause I'm probably 8 years older than Steve Cab, but I still trip on skating constantly. I gotta feel like those old school no nose shapes are primarily an aesthetic choice for vibes cause I can't see it doing much but hindering/limiting ones skating overall. I mean they got 8.75 mellow concave popsicles if you like the width of those older shapes. I dunno, to each their own I suppose.
Cab the San Jose Triple OG😁 During the Dark ages 92-95 (skateboarding was a Crime) We set up a make shift skatepark called "Ghetto Park" Cab, Greshan M. , Doug shoemaker, poncho moler ,ed devera etc. would skate their with us ! Our boards and wheels would be worn to the bone, but combos we did ,gaps ,q pipes would get wrecked , i beleive there was about ten of us in highschool ahead of the curb doing switch on a pro level during thae beganing of that transtion of adding switch . Cab plugged us with boards and some wheels!🔥🏆 We almost got in Thrasher , dude named lance shot photos for them back then but after year two the cleaned all our ramps and stuff out. Fun fact steve is my fav oldskool skater, awesome personality, and Chris is my fav new skater. He is just such a rockstar and his agression on mini ramps is so fun to watch.

@_aj_nelson_ I think you missed my point...and by your response about ego, it seems to be so. For one, I do not take skating so seriously, I am way too old for that. If you read my response, you would have noticed that was my issue from the start, an observation about perceived ego. As well, my knowledge of skating has nothing to do with the advice on attitude. This was just an attempt to help you younger fellas out. I do, however, like to try and see things from others' points of view, and my first comment was harsh for sure. Cab might be the coolest legend alive. Genuine motivation to stay active and keep this body moving as long as I can.

The width on those older shapes is closer to 10", so an 8.75 isn't really going to do it.
