Psychopaths aren't all killers. They tend to lack empathy and sympathy for others and are very goal oriented, however, that doesn't mean they don't know right from wrong or enjoy inflicting pain.

theres actually a channel here on youtube that interviewed someone diagnosed with psychopathy. they are considered a psychopath based on their mental health, their inability to feel certain emotions, and their reactions to things HOWEVER this man has never harmed anyone. he's fought his entire life to be a good person even when his own mind and emotional state tell him otherwise. it was such a fascinating watch because we always associate psychopaths with murder or horrible crimes, but not all psychopaths act on those thoughts and feelings. it really put a new perspective on that term for me.

Charles Manson is a difficult one to include here, because he also has schizophrenia and paranoid delusions -- So although he also had antisocial personality disorder (a requisite for serial killers), his personality here is the schizophrenia, not the psychopathy. The OSCC reviewers think he acts the most like a psychopath, but this is false. The "best" psychopaths are the calm, charming, collected killers who lead normal lives (sometimes with families) but lack total empathy. The most "productive" serial killers in history were rarely scary upon first meet for most people. Manson is terrifying because you feel like he could go off any minute -- your unease is due to the schizophrenia, not the antisocial part.

The thing about psychopaths in America is that we interview them and write books about them because while the government may not want to, many people seek to understand mental health, how killers are created, why people kill. People are interested in why people do these things and here, we become invested in the trials and the victims and killers.

Am I the only person who notices that OSSC broadcasts the bad side of America and the West to Koreans, as if telling Koreans to look at the extent of criminality and barbarism of the Americans? Didn't you notice that the channel only publishes the bad side of the West? Because they are only elderly, and Korean law does not criminalize and does not fully punish the elderly
Because the elderly are above the law and this is why the elderly are the ones who commit the most crimes, because they know that they will not be punished and they will get away with it. Also, Korea has about 5 times a longer history than US but the US has 170 times more serial killers than Korea. Korea was founded in 2333 BC while the US was founded in 1776 AD.

You never heard of Charles Manson? Back in the 1960’s and early 1970’s this guy believed there would be a “race war” between blacks and whites instigated by the CIA. He was able to attract several “members” of a group he formed. Women, especially, were heavily influenced by him. They killed several people including that of a famous actress named Sharon Tate who was pregnant at the time. In another incident these women randomly went to someone’s house, killed the guy, and used his blood to write some crazy stuff on the walls. Manson himself was never found to actually kill anyone. He had people kill for him.

One thing I don’t understand about South Korea (and the girls also brought it up) is how they cover completely the perpetrators faces, voices, names aka their identity like some kind of privacy respect to civilians. I think that’s wrong per se. People need to know the identity, crimes and even the mentality of those perpetrators , or they could one day walk down the street and no one know what they did and could do (becoming a victim in the worst of cases).

Some of the things these killers say are just unbelievable and the fact that they are potentially vocalizing a small fraction of their thought process makes you wonder what else is going on inside their heads. Their behavior deviates so far from what we would consider "normal" that it's hard to wrap your head around their motivations, reasons, or lack thereof. Everything about these cases is just sickening. Nonetheless, the video was interesting to watch, thank you OSSC.

About the horrible 3 days that Neely spent was outrageous: that Simpson thing lured him to her home with the promise of sex and drugs. Once inside home, she tortured the man over three days during which time she pulled the man’s teeth out of his mouth and drove three nails into his head.
She did all of this whilst he was seated in front of a mirror so he could see what she was doing to him. On the final day of the ordeal, she strangled and stabbed the man more than 50 times before dismembering his body and setting his remains on fire.
Why??? Because Neely bragged to her about being a snitch. That was pure cruelty and shocking...
She further stated that she does not want her children (and yes she was able to give birth to children) to live in a world with snitches but apart from that killing and torturing people is ok.

There is an excellent book about the Charles Manson killings called "Helter Skelter". It was written by the prosecutor of his case. Charles Manson never killed anyone, so why did he die in prison? He coerced others to kill for him. They happened in 1969. I remember the terror the people felt.

  • @Leviackerman15256
    @Leviackerman15256 5 місяців тому

"Psychopathy" is not actually the diagnosis a doctor would give the person for "psychopathy" and "psychopath" is a legal term. The proper diagnosis for what people consider someone to be a "psychopath" or "sociopath" would be Antisocial personality disorder if they are an adult or if they are a child (below 18 years old) the diagnosis would be conduct disorder which could manifest into Antisocial personality disorder if not treated properly. A lot of people with ASPD go on to live normal lives to the best of their ability (not killing anyone). They don't even makeup half of the population of the USA's incarceration rate (I study forensic psychology at college and did a whole report on that).
Also, a lot of people with ASPD have jobs that are considered high standing or at least well respected such as surgeons, CEOs, journalists, law enforcement, clergy and there are others but these are just some of the careers that people with ASPD are drawn to.
We really need to stop spreading stigma about this disorder. We need to stop being scared of people with it. Of course, be cautious around someone you don't know like you would with any stranger but don't fear someone just because of their diagnosis.

Didn't you notice that the channel only publishes the bad side of the West? Have you ever noticed, though, that the channel does not publish any bad side towards Korea and Koreans, and that the channel does not publish or talk about murderers, especially rapists and harassers?
Especially the elderly men in Korea. Any crime committed by a man, especially if he is old, his punishment is simple and he escapes with it.
This is different from the crimes of old women by their work as pimps, kidnapping and deceiving foreign girls under the pretext of work or bringing them a month and forcing them into compulsory prostitution, and if they refused they threatened them with death and The closest example is the story of the Moroccan girl who was kidnapped by a Korean woman who works as a pimp and forced the seductive girl into prostitution at gunpoint.
Because they are only elderly, and Korean law does not criminalize and does not fully punish the elderly
Because the elderly are above the law and this is why the elderly are the ones who commit the most crimes, because they know that they will not be punished and they will get away with it. If you don't believe me, ask the foreigners who live in Korea And the ossc channel does not publish scandals that concern their country, but rather exposes and distorts the reputation of other countries.

The vast majority of psychopaths and sociopaths do feel emotions, though lower in intensity to others, have cognitive empathy, and are kind people. I have a relative who's a sociopath because of her trauma disorders. She definitely struggles to understand why people get upset sometimes, and that can cause tension, but she is, at her core, and extremely kind and caring human being.

Antisocial personally only care about themselves and their goals, hence the lack of empathy, but they are not necessarily people who enjoy hurting others, only to further their agenda or to help themselves. No, those are sadist. Sadist are the ones who want to kill and hurt, who enjoy for no other reason than fun and pleasure. And that's it

The difference between all these people is Manson...where as the first two admitting to all their killings...Charlie Manson said he never touched a single person...but he ordered 4 of his followers (he was also a cult leader) to do the killings in his name. Manson was given the death penalty at the time, than California overturned it and it turned into life in prison. Even though he was kept in an entire different part of the prison, and isolated...at the end of his life he still had followers that tired sneaking phones and he even married a 18 year old girl who for some reason thought she could change him...make him a better person... a lot of people here in the U.S., they have made documentaries, movies, shows, all trying to understand the mind of a psychopath. Manson is a top project for a lot of them, between his cult and befriending most in Hollywood and the music business at the time...(he even lived with the drummer of a group of the time called the Beach Boys before the killings of course.) One more thing about psychopaths, they can be the most charming of people...talk u into anything....that's what Charlie was, he acted innocent and sweet. But there was nothing but evil behind his eyes...I for one am glad he is no longer on this earth....

Psychopaths lack the basic emotions like empathy, sympathy etc…. Now what makes them “perfect killers” is the charming, calm and welcoming atmosphere the exude. Take Tommy in 1:37 see how he doesn’t look scary or frightening. Rather he looks like your average nice guy. That right there is what draws the victims in. No one will give a ride to someone who looks scary, but will definitely give one to a friendly looking person. Now not every psychopath is a killer. There are few that fight constantly to suppress the tendencies that comes with this trait.

1:14 *The interviewer's name is Martin Bashir* it's better not to use any footage this man has made as a journalist. *He was known to be a journalist with ill intent, to cast the person he interviewed in a bad light.*
Although this is an interview with a convicted murderer, Bashir has done interviews before in where he has manipulated the person, has used deceitful methods, bad intent with editing etc.
Bashir is known to have manipulated *Princess Diana, and Michael Jackson.*
One of the deceitful methods he employed to gain Diana's trust, was forging bank statements that fueled her paranoia that she was under surveillance by the palace.
    About Michael Jackson:
The documentary, "Living with Michael Jackson" was credited with sparking a child sex abuse trial against the star, in which Bashir, 58, testified. *note: Michael was found NOT guilty on all charges. To this day, He is innocent and the victim of being exploited by certain people, to use him for their own benefit, be it fame or money, or to just put him down because Michael was a powerful person, many didn't like that*
Martin Bashir 'misled' the star and 'induced' him to admit he shared a bed with kids in 2003 interview. Bashir presented the show as a way for Michael to show his real self, 'but it was in truth a character assassination'. The documentary presented Jackson as a predator, showing him holding hands and cradling young cancer survivor Gavin Arvizo. Arvizo had never held Jackson's hand before, and the late pop star believed Bashir used the boy to set him up.
Bashir's conduct was the subject of a "recent"(2021) inquiry which found he forged bank statements and lied to persuade secure his 1995 interview with Princess Diana.

Psychopaths can act like normal people but they could never get rid of psychopathic desires. They can strike into action any time. So I'd not say that they don't have any more human rights than in america if they aren't spotted.
    I still might be wrong...

As far as my knowledge of psychopaths and sociopaths goes…psychopaths are born while sociopaths are created. Sociopaths have a higher chance of killing compared to psychopaths, but both depends on the triggers. Psychopaths are able to live life without ever turning to crime since their brain just happens to be wired to be very logical, straightforward, and goal oriented thinkers which is why it isn’t surprising to find them in high positions in any field. Honestly, sociopaths are more dangerous then psychopaths.

I find it kind of funny the way American prisoners really wear those stripy uniforms like in cartoons. I suppose it's meant to be part of the dehumanisation process. The one good thing about hiding criminal's identities is at least they know they won't become famous for commiting crimes.

These people are such anomalies, they're such mistakes, it's disgusting to think that they somehow feel proud, special or important for the things they did and being interviewed about them. Anyone can kill anyone, they're not strong or scary for doing that but normal people have emotional intelligence and wouldn't randomly kill others. Even animals don't randomly kill other animals. These people are worse than animals, they're an error in the code. We as humans rely on one another and on building relationships, not hurting one another. These people are a sickness.

Am I the only person who notices that OSSC broadcasts the bad side of America and the West to Koreans, as if telling Koreans to look at the extent of criminality and barbarism of the Americans? Didn't you notice that the channel only publishes the bad side of the West?
I am not a racist person but this is the truth
My cousin has lived in Korea for 15 years and he told me about everything he saw there. Listen to me well. Every country has crimes, but Korea is the only country that does not spread its scandals and bad sides to the West.
Korea applies the saying that what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas
What happens in Korea remains Korea
They appear to be nice And peaceful and non-racist to the West
But they are the opposite, especially when Covid-19 spreads
For the first time, Koreans practiced their racism
To foreigners, including My cousin And they made them do a test for Covid 19 only because they are foreigners. The Korean government is telling its people false and false news that the spread of Covid 19 disease is caused by foreigners, and foreigners are the cause of all diseases, and Koreans are convinced that foreigners are the cause of diseases and that the cause of the spread of abnormalities are foreigners. Koreans, under the pretext of the Korean race, are devoid of diseases and that Koreans have clean, disease-free blood And Koreans never get sick

Can they react to the new Jeffrey Dahmen Netflix show people are talking about?
I seen many opinions about it.
Mine was really eye opening and I had seen most of his documentaries but never felt so sorry for the victims and neighbors. It was more like a learning ride with documentaries like aaah he did this but the Netflix show it was more about the victims to me and the injustice of the police and government! Racism and in Justice,
Also take in count some things were added and exaggerated like his neighbor stuff wasn’t like that and it was written to impact the audience.

rather not that. at least interviews are more real. also it was made without any consent, and they made the families and those affected live through their trauma once again. those that were dramatised and used for ratings and affected the victims terribly shouldn't be continued to be spread around or recommended. the netflix series had too much of a horrible effect.

Wouldn’t say psychopathy is a mental disorder considering many psychopaths live entirely normal lives. It’s really just a way to describe the ones that don’t feel sympathy or empathy out of humans.
