I think one thing missing from this is the acknowledgment that she works/worked at Tenpro meaning she's built connections with some of the most influential mf's in Korea it can be said that her parents are of influence as well but not influential enough to help her get away with so much meaning there are probably some powerful individuals who are either keeping her at minimal punishment out of fear of what she'll say or because she's just that good at getting close to people of influence.

He was depressed, he wanted to try a couple of substances. He was charged. I can't remember exactly if he tried weed or just asked for it. But he definitely didn't get the LSD.

Plus, given how difficult it is to be an idol... I feel like there's a lot of idols that we don't know about, who struggle with substance misuse issues. They need help. They need treatment. The culture of shame will only make things worse. If there's nobody they can ask for help they will only get worse.

Starship Ent. has mandatory drug screenings for their artists and he passed EVERY single one. And when the scandal happened he was tested again and PASSED. I am so sick of people saying kpop isn’t unique anymore and western influence ruined it. Kpop has ALWAYS been influenced by western music. Always. Learn your history. Not a single day since kpop was born was it 100% Korean. All pop music in every country is influenced by the music of pop in other countries, that’s how pop music works. These aren’t Korean folk songs, you’re talking about boy/girl bands, rap, and dancing on stage. None of that is originally Korean and was directly influenced by Western 90’s pop/R&B since the beginning.
Kpop is still VERY unique. I listen to all kinds of genres and when I hear a kpop song, even in English, I know it is kpop. Even pop in other countries has been influenced by kpop, America is now trying to bring back more groups because of it. Song styles have changed. Artists are engaging online more than they used to. Kpop has had a massive impact on the entire global music industry. “Boy’s a Liar” literally just sounds like kpop lol
But instead of being proud of that and celebrating the diversity of kpop music, y’all cry because your faves are more popular and you can’t feel different and special for being their fan. You don’t care about their success or what they want, you just want to feel unique and use them to achieve that.
Either go find a different way to feel special or grow up and like what you like regardless of how popular it is.

Yes she was part of the early formation of Gfriend. That is when Eunha and Umji is still not part of the group. Gfriend isn't even their name yet. Instead it was her and Jenny of DIA. Both her, Jenny with another unnamed trainee left almost at the same time that is why source scrambled to find replacements and end up just getting eunha who has training years and umji who has so little of training. They don't have any funds at this point and are in massive debt. The rest is history. Gfriend would be a very different group and concept if things have played differently.

It might not be as simply as "falling for her". Sometimes you get a situation where lots of private school kids will buy their drugs from one person. Why? Because that's the only drug dealer they know, trust and are not scared of. Could be the same with these idols. Especially if they have lived very protected lives.
