I saw a lot of you guys suggesting for me to do a hunt at this spot so here it is! Feel free to leave recommendation of any places you feel might be good for me to metal detect (underwater preferably 😁)
Also I just did road trip with @lena.pans and we did a lot of filming so stay tuned for those videos!!👩💻
Awesome adventure 👍👍👍👍👍Can’t wait to see your trip with @Lena.pans!💕💕💕💕💕
Love yue
You should try Pirates Cove in Newport Beach. Throughout the years thousands and thousands of people have gone there to get baptized through many churches like Calvary Chapel‘s. I guarantee you you will probably find quite a bit there. Good luck! Great show…
Awesome. I was just thinking...I miss Lena on your videos!
Do you still believe all the lies that people tell you glad to see you get away from the Tampa bunch you got to stay away from crowds like that they can't tell you the truth they won't tell you the truth you passed by me a few times and didn't say a word I just said how you doing that was it don't believe everything everybody tell you be careful out there great videos good luck yeah I remember you I never forget a face
The bottle is late 70's early 80's, once they started phasing out the 10 cent bottles. Looks like a bubble matte finish which RC Cola was known to use
Very cool! Thank you Tim😊
California never phased out recycle refunds on glass. Both plastic and glass bottles, including liquor bottles, have a CRV (California Refund Value). You pay 5 cents for containers up to 24 ounce, 10 cents for containers 24 ounce and larger, when you purchase them. Then are paid it back, often not the full price, when you take it to a recycling center. Some places have talked people into placing bottles for recycling on their curb for their local garbage service (often owned by the mafia) to pick up. So you don't get any of the CRV back, they do. It's a bit of a scam.
I can understand about diving under the boat. Sometimes you just get a weird vibe. Probably best that you called it quits.
That long piece of metal was probably a stake for a sun shade. I find them all the time when I'm beach detecting. If you still have the rusted piece, smash it with a hammer to knock the rust off and see what's inside.
Thanks for the video 👍
The hunk of metal looks like an anchor shackle. Knock off some of the junk glomming onto it! Randy's stainless fitting could be on the bottom anywhere within the radius of the anchor chain, depending on the wind and current when he dropped it. Glad you were aware of the dangers of diving around a boat when its occupants were unaware of you. I like your float. I had one while diving in the late 80s - it was a styrofoam float on a fiberglass pole with a lead weight on the bottom and a flag on the top. As I swam along the bottom, I did not let out enough tether line, and I pulled the fiberglass pole right down through the float. The weight on the end hit me right on the head! Lucky I had on a thick neoprene hood, and was not injured, just felt REALLY silly!
Hi Nora glad your back beautiful scenery ....... And nice landscape as well thank you 💖👍🇦🇺
Always enjoy watching your videos. I love your kind heart that you have to help other people get their stuff back you're a kind lady.
Hi Nora , glad to see you back , those boaters do drop a lot of stuff off their boats , it is like you said "could be dangerous " and you did the right thing by not swimming around there , that was a very smart of you
Well done!! I hope you find a huge diamond in your next scuba diving 😃
I hope so too! Thank you Victor 😁
cuyuna range mine lakes next to Crosby/Ironton Minnesota!!! There is a bunch of recreational mine lakes with crystal clear water that are as deep as 450ft!! All of this plus beautiful surroundings. This area has been used by the twin cities elite as a weekend vacation destination for the last 100 years.
Yeah that's not necessarily a "general public" touristy kind of place...meaning that local boat owners and surfers don't usually drop a lot of valuables. You might want to try Santa Monica pier type of places where more tourists are more likely to lose things. Another fun video none the less... especially the selfie session😉
Great to see you back in the water. We missed you.
Love that location. Grew up over there and my first job was in that harbor!
Our family used to vacation at Capistrano Beach every couple of years. Loved to ride our bikes over to Dana Point and get lunch.
Nice work Nora the old bottle takes the win for sure a beautiful spot looks so much warmer than Tassie right now 🥶
Oh nooo I forgot its opposite seasons for you guys down under😄
The knob with orange on it is the spool nut of a spinning reel.
You always have to be comfortable when you're diving.
Yeah you're right! I was too paranoid about her having to re adjust the boat or something 😅
If you’re ever on the Big Island of Hawaii a good place to dive is off the pier in Kona for years the tourist used to toss change over the side of tour boats for kids to dive down and retrieve they stopped doing it a while back but I’m sure there’s a small fortune down there Aloha 🤙🏻
Hawaii is definitely on the list! Thank you😊
@@NoraSvet 🤙🏻
Piece of rusty metal was a tent peg, I find soooo many up on the beach! Safety first, always - smart call re: not diving under the boat when the owner didn't know you were there. Kairo has grown so much, omg ❤️
Yeahh it felt sketchy. All I could think about was her having to reposition the boat and me being dragged up by the anchor 😅 haha he can stop now🐶
I recently snorkled there...picked up a fishing pole, mask, trash and fishing reel. Super cool you were in Dana Point!
If you're still in town, head to San Clemente and have dinner at La Colombiana Restaurant. You'll love it!
NDNR, No Deposit No Return bottles are typically 60's thru the 70's. Family size soda bottle with either a painted label, faded out, or a paper label, washed away.
nice area Nora, and know the feeling of being under boats🤔 the bottle you found would be a 1960's quart, the bottles from that period often said not to be refilled, take care and good luck on the next👍
Deposit bottles were phased out in the 1960's looks like that vintage, also I think you should have been further south of the marina. There is a river jetty south of where you were and a lot more swimmers and surfers are there. Another good spot might be "Salt Creek" just north of Dana Point but also lots of surfers and skim boarders.
No idea about the bottle, but the rusty piece of metal is a tent stake. Someone on the beach probably had a canopy staked down.
Oh yeah!😄
Nora like the new flip top treasure bottle, have been wanting to suggest one but didn’t know where to find it. Really enjoy your adventures!!!!
In the 1960’s I spent many hours of many days in the water where you were swimming. The difference then is that the harbor and breakwater didn’t exist yet. Dana Point used to be one of the best surf spots in So Cal. There was a small parking lot and a short little pier. That was it. Nothing else. Looks like it’s change a bit =:). Sorry you didn’t find any thing memorable however I appreciate the memories you triggered for me. Thanks
Wow awesome! I didn't know that! Now I'm thinking I should've gone a little further out to detect. I thought it was pointless to leave the swimming area since everyone stayed within it🤔
hey, Nora! great post, even if you didn't find much. just watching you try is entertaining. sounded like you were just snorkling at the swim area? rather nostalgic. love the scuba, but miss the clear "woohoos". i always wait to watch what comes after the "Bye". this was one of the best. beautiful smiles, beautiful Nora and, yes, beautiful Kairo! he's getting to be quite the handful! see ya in the next one, sweetie!
Yeah I was snorkeling in the swim area because it was so shallow. Only about 4 feet deep lol. Thank you so much Floyd😃
@@NoraSvet you are so welcome, Nora! i like to think of you as my own little underwater ray of sunshine. thanks, darlin🤩
Sweet girl, trying to help someone whose obviously co-opting your time, taking advantage of you and changing your plans of making a living. That was way too far for you to swim, too murky and obviously deeper than 15 feet, glad you gave up quickly. If you in the south, try lake lanier islands in buford ga, bound to be stuff there, don't think anyone ever checks, need a good light though, waters kinda dark. Thanks for sharing, Happy Trails, Cheers!
Hello Nora you can’t always find treasures but you usually do! Stay safe and better luck next time !! 🤘
Paisagens belíssimas. Parabéns pelo vídeo. Direto do BR 🇧🇷
Nora, to get dive buoy to stand vertical, add a fairly heavy sinker to its rope. 4 or 5 ounces should do it. You can increase a bit depending on current. I’d add it close to the bout, down maybe 4-5 inches. Love the videos!
You should try the waterways of Northern California. The Russian, Eel and (North fork of the) American Rivers are all known to be full of stuff left behind - some nice, some not. Tons of folks flock to them every summer so right after Labor Day is a good time to swoop in on them.
You probably heard many say go there b/c theyve seen detectorist there before. Thats a popular spot. l used to surf by there when l was living in Lomita for decade. Its an affluent area.
That explains the lack of treasures😅
Another great adventure Ms Nora! Even mystery items are "treasures" to find imo. I just set some of the super rusty crusty metal items i find, in the back yard out of the way. Once dried, the outer layer often cracks and crumbles off easily. Revealing a possible "relic"😁✌
If you are still in So Cal. goes to Cyrstal Cove State Beach, there are a bunch of old houses right on the beach, they have been there for almost 80 years. There is a freshwater pond right next to the main building maybe store, the water is kind of gross but I am sure kids have been playing in it for decades, if not it is an amazing place to walk around, they filmed the blue house from Beaches with Bett Milder and Barbar Hersey there.
I was reading some of the comment's and yes, you need to be relax and confident diving, also diving on your own is a bit of a worry, even though I do it all the time.
Last dive/hunt I did I grabbed a Deadly Stone Fish and with no gloves on, scared the crap outa me, but cat like reflexes came into play. Kept going, 2 gold rings and 4 silver and fist full of coins later, I had an awesome result. You be safe wee Lass.
Cheers
Brad
Back in the 60s, when you purchased a soda, you would pay a deposit. The purpose being it was an incentive to bring the bottle back to the store. The bottles were then sent back to the manufacturer to be refilled and used again. At some point, they came out with bottles that didn't require a deposit and said " no deposit no return" so, on one one hand it was cheaper to buy a soda but on the other, there was no incentive to return the bottle so they were just thrown away. When I was a kid we used to collect bottles on the side of the road. We would then take the bottles back to the store and buy candy with the deposit money.
Glad to see the video and you are back in the water. Thanks for the trip.
my neighbor across the street, throws pennies, dimes and quarters into a pond in his backyard, the water is crystal clear, but now that I think about it, it is actually his pool...that is an excellent place to hunt, and we got beers and BBQ. When was the last time you got offers of food and drink ? huh ? eh ? you coming ? hello ? huh ? she hung up.
Another great video Nora. Looking forward to your next adventure!!!
Thank you Ray!😊
That’s Jack Sparrow’s rum bottle. “What happened to all the rum?” Jack was pretty ticked when he found out it was non- refillable and threw it in the water. 😂
So sad the litter people throw out. I'm glad you stayed safe. Love your videos. I bet cha under those docks would be some trash and maybe some treasure but I bet the trash out weighs the treasure. Take care.
The stove knob was a drag tensioner for a fishing reel.
Finally...a new upload video...
Love it🥰🥰🥰
Yesss more to.come😃
Nora, one thing that I learned about diving is you should never dive alone. Please be careful I like watching your videos. Good luck 👍💓
Looks like an old 1 quart beer bottle. Might be from the 1960s because it's not marked in equivalent liters and is a no deposit/no return. Agree with your not diving under a boat in shallow water. Good call! Will be waiting for further adventures. Thanks for the video.
Thank you Jack!😃
Cool dive happy to know the Buoy is keeping you safe, nice gimbal the 1 have can't hold my cell, was disappointed I gave it away. Happy your safe, welcome back to Southern California
That bottle is 1970s for sure. "No Deposit / No Return" was such a common and well known phrase during that decade that it was even the title of a 1976 comedic children's movie staring David Niven and Don Knotts. Sadly, I am old enough to have seen that in the theater with my mom. Sigh.
Beautiful place to dive and detect!
Thanks for taking me on another adventure. Your editing is top notch. You need to give Kairo some doggy downers before you try a selfie session.
Good job following your gut feeling Nora. I enjoy your videos. Smiling, George.
Sponsors ain't got nothin on us LOL. Videos wouldn't be possible without fans like us Muhahahaha :). Your videos are so awesome. Ray of sunshine for a rainy day. Hugz and PLUR to you.
Very true! Wouldn't be possible without both* Haha thank you David😄
Kairo is getting bigger ! Nice dive. Too bad you didn’t find anything that was exciting. However, some bottles are expensive. People find bottles buried and collect them. I think it’s truly a luck thing, even with the detector, you could be a foot away from a gold ring and just miss it. Paul and Benny (schnauzer)
Pretty cool watching these. Love Nora too as a UA-cam. As a hobby though seems like a lot of equipment and time for very little return.
Seems like if you love being in the water and detecting it might be worth it. Just for those 2 things.
Low visibility? Well- As I understand it, not all stainless steel is magnetic but if Randy had another piece to test and if it was magnetic then he could drop a line with a big enough magnet to "fish" for it in the area it fell. Might be more trouble than it's worth if he can just buy another one. Cairo! Such da good pupper dog! Ainchu da good lucky puppy! Yes you are! Hi Nora, good video! I just donated $10. $5 for you and $5 for treats to help train Cairo and/or just to reward him for being such a cute little batch of fur. Well, not so little anymore I guess.
I do what I can to support favorite channels because I generally avoid all the ads I possibly can and I do suggest others like me do the same, it's only fair.
Thank you! Great idea 👍👍👍👍
You got some really good videos
That long piece of metal was a tent stake.
Nora, you are such a sweetheart!
Such a cool puppy reminds me of our old dog. And yes Nora's not svet-ting ,, she's dive-ing again. Was that up North ? I was just in socal and hated it.
Hi Nora, don't give up on Calif. beaches, there is gold hidden in the sand, thanks for taking me with you on another adventure, and might say, you have one lucky dog.
Nora! And Lena! We love your adventures! Can’t wait to see your videos with Lena!!!💕💕💕💕☀️☀️☀️👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍😎😎😎
Thank you Valentina! Working on them now😁
🌸🌸🌸
Very Beautiful👍👍
Great adventure has always! Can’t wait to see you in the next video
Happy 4th to you Nora, and welcome back to my home state!
Thank you Nora for your nice show now the weekend can start and give Kairo a big hugh from me
Hello, dear Nora! 💖Always enjoy your videos and the way that you are captured nature's beauty!🍀🌷🥀 You are amazing and gentle soul! ☀️Your videos made my day so much fun !🌻 God to bless you!💖🌻🌺☀️
Thank you so much!😊
@@NoraSvet You are welcome 🌹
If you come back to So Cal, Salt Creek maybe a better location as it is in front of the Ritz Carlton. The beach you were on is nicknamed Baby Beach for all the children that swim there.
I'll definitely check it out, thanks Jill!
Hi Nora,, That’s a cool Gimble, need to check that out. That was a merky water under the boat. Was there a message in the bottle? Did someone leave a comment in the bottle? J/K. Too bad for Randy, your safety is more important. Bye for now Nora, love your channel.🙏🏽👍🏽🤘🏽💛🇨🇱.🤿
Welcome back. I have missed your great videos. Colonel Chip
I learned something today! In the UK a dive flag is blue and white, I just did an internet search to discover that the international flag is red with a diagonal white stripe. Who knew :)
Bonus content, Awesome
Very nice and well done ! Cool adventure Nora :) Best of luck on the next one ! ATB
Thank you!😊
If you ever head to Pennsylvania try Ohiopyle State Park. Lots of rafters lose stuff
you are great. love your videos. soon you'll be professional with the money rolling in. look on your map for connellsville, pa. we have the youghiogheny river with many spots that seem to be perfect for your adventures.
Pretty good. Welcome back.
Well done...as usual.
hi nora the bottle you found with no return on diposet that's an old one
comes from early 19 63 to 1970
Vintage Glass PEPSI COLA Bottle Clear Textured Pattern ~ 10 oz i like the diving what you do very cool i dive good luck too and if you think you don't trust it don't do it i'm a good friend lost so
You look amazing and your videos keep it up with the channel hope all for the best. Also when u sucba diving how long does your sucba tank last when u go underwater
,,,,,,,hello,,,,,again.!.!.,,,,,,watching in land o' lakes,wi....looks great there....I recycle metal,,and find my treasure while picking up people's scrap metal...so fun,,,,,,,best job ever,,,,peace,pat.
Nora! You're definitely photogenic 12:51 🙂
Hey Nora, Ted again! I've got another guess about that bottle. 1st, that bottle is OLD, reason being, no bottle manufacture
prints "NO DEPOSIT/ NO RETURN", everything 2day is "RECYCLE". I will even venture 2 guess (being the operative word) that
it was filled with "MILLER HIGH LIFE" beer. Reason is that they were the only brewer I can remember using clear glass way
back then! Maybe the print on the underside will reveal more info! Well that's my guess, thx 4 the videos ! Ted
Hey Ted, very good guess! I think you're right 😃
I just cannot stand loosing, would be nice to try to find that needle in the hay stack, that stainless steal dodad.
Hey Nora, nice video! What is your dog growing! He's cute!😍
Cool video! Nice spot too! Too bad for Randy. Safety first though! Good call. Keep em comin!
Lol, I know Randy from high school. I was just on anchorage with him there in Dana Point. I detected Baby Beach just a couple months ago when the tide was extremely low.
Lollll small world! Tell him I say hi and sorry I couldn't find his lost piece 😆
@@NoraSvet I just text him and linked to the video. Sorry you did not find much there. I was at anchorage there months ago. The entire swimming area was exposed on an extremely low tide. IIRC the only things I found besides coins was a mood ring and a silver ring over by the dock.
My mom would love that selfie setup
Great video I realy love when you dive for stuf
On the bottle, if you can figure out the glass company, as in Owens of Illinois, usually an o with an i in the o, and the date would be a double or single number. I thought I seen a 6 or it could have been a 9. that's all I know.
You are the best RAYA 😁
After a half hour of searching I found out the Bottle was made by Brockway (the B in the circle ) in 1959 in Pennsylvania. They made medicine and soda bottles in clear glass so more then likely its a soda bottle. No clue on its value but its a start maybe to finding out?
I the detected that beach ,not so hot..... Its .county raked for valuables. I would recommend wind&sea beach ,la jolla San Diego no sand rakes/shifters . lucrative if you can beat the old pros on land.
Sempre brava. Quanto invidio il cagnolino🤗😉👍👋👋👋🇮🇹
Yay another Nora vid
Nice! Good job. Stay safe Nora.😊
Nice selfies with the pups.
I always enjoy you videos & you finds. Thank you ❤
Always go early 5 am in summer
Very nice.....Video
Greetings from Germany....
Thank you friend!😃
Nice location again and diving underneath someone’s bio I don’t think I would do that specially if they don’t know you’re there and I don’t know what that thing is floating and the further you get down the darker it gets
We live about 2 hours away from Dana Point
