In my case it’s my lil bro 😂😂😂 but still a man 😂😂😂
My son
I want to learn how to do my own hair in locs dreads
I am a licensed hair stylist and I want to broaden my skill set because in my area there aren’t a lot of salons around my area that do natural hair. I’ve been wanting to learn how to do locs for awhile so this video is very helpful.
You did absolutely gorgeous on your client's starter locs.
@prod. Kyree ok

@London still her client
As a biracial couple, when my boyfriend started talking about his hair, and how difficult it is to find someone to do his hair, I wanted to learn more about black hair, and honestly it’s really saddening that salons don’t cater to our black clientele, and because of the shortage of it when they do find someone the prices can be a bit much. (No shade to any stylist, because it takes a lot of work, and effort) but I think everyone should have the right to feel beautiful/handsome
I am in the same boat. My husband wants to be able to have nice hair and not have to shave it all the time. Doing my best to learn how to help my man out.
@@BigTitBitch69 stop infiltrating the black community with your fetish for black men.
Biracial couple? Just say interracial
Omg his natural hair is gorgeous!! Great job on the starter locs as well
I wish I had his hair, it’s beautiful. I have 4C hair like REALLL 4C hair and it’s so hard to deal with. I had locs but the place I went to just played in my head so I had to take them out a couple months later, now I’m showing my mom this video and having her do my hair.
Wow! I can’t believe you didn’t use a gel and it still came out nice.👌
Thank you 😊☺️☺️. My other half is ready to start his loc journey and I'm learning something new.
Thank you so much for making this detailed video. I have been training myself for the last month and a half and comb coils is something i havent had the opportunity to learn. This was very great for studying locitians like myself. Thank you again goddess
This is by far the best video I’ve seen. My husband has the same type of hair and this video gave me life lbs. he’s been wanted locs for awhile but I couldn’t find a video to save my life to show me the steps. Thank you!
Thank you, this is so helpful! In the process of dreading my boy’s hair & really didn’t want it done by anybody else!
OMG thank you thank you thank you. This is the BEST tutorial I have found!!! I’ve been watching videos for days on how to start locs and your explanation is so detailed, the video is perfect. I could not figure out how to work the comb through the hair. This is the best. Im starting locs in my sons (2 and 4) 😘😘
How did it go? I’m gonna do my starter locs and my daughters also, my oldest will be 4 soon, and my youngest will be 2 later this year so I’ll probably do hers then
@@caymusic17 my 5 yo (he was 4 at the time) is looking really good, the method shown in this video worked well. I ended up taking my 2 yo son’s hair down after about a month and a half because he got sand in it too many times and washing trying to get the sand out made it unravel a lot and he won’t really keep his head covered when he’s asleep. It looked so good when I first did it but I’ll give him a few more months and try it again.
My daughter just got hers done today and I’m so excited for she is happy and I’m next I’m excited for this loc journey.
I'm actually wanting to do my own hair! This is something I've been thinking about for a long time and I think I'm finally ready. Long hair is stressful but instead of cutting it I have decided I do want locs so thank you for this nice tutorial even if I am late❤
I’m really excited to start locking my hair this video was extremely helpful!
He has beautiful hair 😌
My man wants me to do his hair and I don’t know how do it thank you now i know
Girl same that's why I'm here😂
Haha same
Girl same😂👏🏾.
Saaaaame lol
I was really discouraged by hearing the prices to get my hair twisted up. Thank you for the video
Super informative and clear video. Audio was perfect as well as lighting. Thank you for uploading. This helped me a lot.
I got them yesterday,I can't wait to see them lock for my first time locking my hair.i like how neat and fast you did this
I love your attention to detail. ✅ Your clients hair looks awesome! 🔥
Thank you for your detailed explaination. I like the Angele of which you showed so we could actually see what you're doing as you explain what you're doing. I'm more confident in trying to do these on someone after viewing this
TK this is the first time I have ever seen this done. Very informative and I love it 🥰 Thank you for sharing
Those look perfect. Im going to get my hair relocked and can't wait!
Thank you for this video!😃 I'm going to do my daughter's hair this weekend. She's ready for her loc Journey ❤❤
So how did it turn out? My daughter wants me to do hers, I’ve never seen it done without a gel, mousse, or some sort of wax! Did it turn out, did she keep them up?
Turned out great. She's loc'd up now, been over a year already.
@@Adaywith_Daphne Did you use this lady’s method?
@@bealoved6550 yes
Thank you for this because my son wants to start his locs and this is by far the easiest way!
Thank you for explaining why the front sections was bigger. I won’t be starting my locs soon but you explained it perfectly for when I’m ready.
Its Unbelievable how fast the hair grows once its Locks. It Grows Like Wild Fire🔥.
Thank you for the tutorial. I love how shiny and neat they look!
Omg my hair is the same texture 😭😭this video is perfect I'm excited to do my own locs
So is my son's hair, I'm so excited!
I’m getting my starter Locs done tomorrow, so excited 😆
How are ur locs today one year later? 👀
@@eduardoFreites i wanna know too😭
I'm here cause I got locs and I love your work
I love thisss, I can’t wait to start my own! You recommend any natural products?
Love you technique! Where can I find the locking comb that you are using?
I bought mine from my local beauty supply store.
How do you start the parts when your at the middle of the clients head going to the front on males and females how do you know how to do the parts.
Thank you I could never find a good easy way to get my locs started
I’m here to learn how to loc my own hair !
“Just wait for that head nod”😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
When would i then add the locking gel. Going to try to do my sons hair this weekend. Let me find out i can just use water and hair oil 😮
U did an amazing job. I just wanted to see how locs were done, but now I'm thinking I wanna try x practice them myself.😂😂😂🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Thank you. I'm about to loc my son's hair, and this is perfect
Great video, can't wait to try it! Thank you so much!
Just found this vid...trying to do my 4 yr old grandson's long hair into something other than braids all the time. Last week I decided to do dreads... I tried this cheap loc gel but his hair kept unravelling right away. So I gave up and just braided it. But i really want to learn how to do this for him. Shops are super expensive!
Learned quite a bit just watching this
9:11 that part is so satisfying
Im hear to start my kids locs ❤😂
shoot start mine too 😂😂😂
I can’t stop watching this
Wow que bonito trabajo y el cabello del sr❤
This was so relaxing to watch
He has beautiful hair and u did that!😮

This was so helpful, thanks! I love them!
came here so i can learn how to do my gfs locs… def not disappointed👏🏽💙. thank you.
Yes! I have the same hair texture
This man really got me learning how to do locs just so I can do his 😂😂😩
The leghth and texture of his hair is beautiful .
U DID A VERY GOOD JOB.....THANKS FOR SHARING...😊
Thanks so much I got a mannequin to learn on and am following along with you!
So a few questions, if you don’t mind, 1) so you said only the avocado oil and the loc comb so you didn’t need a gel or something … thicker, I guess, to loc the locs? 2) Did youuu detangle?? Cuz that comb seemed to move pretty smoothly through [assumingely] kinky hair? Thank you! In advance for this video and for your time. Stay blessed ✊🏾
Great video for first timers but one question do you put anything in their hair before locking process?
I was just about to ask this. Is looks like there's nothing on there but I wasn't sure if I missed the part where she talked about loccing products
She said that she used avocado oil and water to lock it.
I'm here bcus I been doing my some research I'm getting my hair loc soon can't Waite to start this new journey
Thanks for sharing! My son wants starter locs & this video is detailed.
Ok im glad im doing my hair right. This comb is life. I didnt know you can onlt use oil and water. Ive been using loc cream but my scalp seems itchy..
No products?
Okay so while the clips remain in your hair when done locking, when do you take them out? When the hair dries?
Yeah, I take them out when the hair is dry.
Beautiful. Simply done❤❤❤❤
I have almost 3 years of growth and my hair is pretty long now I wanna start my loc journey but wanna be fully invested in taking care of it and keeping it up but have no idea where to start . As far as the right products how often it needs to be washed , when a retwist is needed etc 😂 I have 0 knowledge
It really depends on how your own upkeep (preference). Some people get their hair washed and retwisted every 2 weeks while others do once a month. Either of the choices are perfectly fine, and depending on how fast your her grows the 2 weeks would be for faster growing hair. Hope that helps love.
😩child my son want these and just thinking bout the process is making me 🥱 😂great video thank you❤👑
Your the first person I’ve seen that said anything abt the comb!! Thank you! I’ve tried the other ways and it didn’t work!
Do you use lock gel?
I didn't use any locking gel in this vid, because he had a bit of product build up the last time I started his locs.
thank you for showing the close up and slow versions of how to do this
My son wants dreads this was great tutorial thank you 😊
Thankyou for your good work. Looks amazine. I need that.
Which brand did you use for the avocado oil? And what would you recommend for starting locs with? Thanks
I wanted to wipe the dripping water/oil so baad ocd 😩
Here for my son finally 😅❤ wish me luck
Now that I know how to make them I need to know how to detangle it without losing much hair.
Thank you so much for this tutorial, did you use any product to achieve this style?
Great job. Will try on my sons
Soon as you get starter locs will you be able to get a style or should you atleast wait a month or sum cause I wanna get em done then either 2 strand twist them or get them braided
My hair isn’t that long it’s like an Afro, when I go get my dreads done should I get them two stranded? Even though I just started
You should wait
@@JosephRacksSr m palm m l pppo. Oh. Only k
Thank you for this video.
Can't I just do finger coil instead of comb coil?
That makes so much sense, staggering the Locs, because it gives it a more natural look. Also, wow, i had no idea that a small-toothed comb was used to form the Locs. i wish i knew about this when my kids were little, both my son AND my daughter would have been rocking them. (My dad had naturally-formed dreadlocks from time to time, but that's another story) 😂 This is such a great tutorial; i love the fact that you answer everything i'm thinking, "yes, this front piece is sectioned a little bigger; yes, he had Locs before"
Great work ✨✨. Looks amazing!
I knw how to I just love watching hair videos
You did an awesome tutorial 👏🏽 ❤️ thank for really explaining
Good video, helpful. I know Google doesn't know everything BUT they advise to stop conditioning hair 2 weeks before locking?????
this will be my first time doing locs on my bf and he has real thick corse hair, hopefully this works!!
Watching your lovely video and realized we have same phone an same phone case 😂
definitely gonna have a family with locs😁
Thank you for this! That looks awesome!!!
This is an amazing tutorial 👏 do you maybe remember where you got that comb from?
Yes, I got it from a local hair store.
Thank you for this video. I started on my younger brother’s hair without experience or guidance and it did take trial and error to try to get the twist right at the roots with the comb, so your advice here helps even more!
I am curious about why some people use those locking gels but I noticed you only used oil?
The locking gel is creating a residue that I don’t like and I almost want to wash everything out and start over with oil only like you did here.
Do you have any advice or should I just start over? 😭
Hey love, you can do a detox on his locs using a Applecider Vinegar Rinse (AVR). I did one on my channel which didn't go so well due to the way he was leaning back. But there are a lot of videos on youtube showing how to detox locs from product buildup. Hope this helps!
Why didn’t u show the finished product?
I have a question after you get your starter locs can you put them in 2 strand twist right after ?
I needed this tutorial.
Tried to loc my hair up..it won't loc. Guess its to soft for it..i didn't use a comb. I did the palm roll .so im doing my granddaughter's this weekend
Do you need a loc comb or can I just use a rat tail comb? And where can I buy a loc comb?
buy a barber taper comb.
A barber taper comb definitely does the job. I was just being extra with this locing comb (trying it out). But I actually like the barber taper comb a lot better for locs. I bought both from my local beauty supply store.
You really good at what you do💯
Do you know what hair type he has? Mine is the same texture. The locs look so good btw!
It's about 3c/4a, somewhere in that ballpark.
So we really don't need beezwax or is it optional?
i done told this boy ik how to do it.
